Instructions for Setting Up and Using the wireless “BK-Link” Send / Receive Units
This package is designed to enable the user to wirelessly send and receive audio signal from an A/V processor
to the ButtKicker Power Amplifier.
Before beginning, please make sure you have the following:
• “R7H-BKLINK-R” Receive Unit with a/c adapter – included with the BK-Link package.
• “R7H-BKLINK-S” Send Unit (transmitter) with a/c adapter – included with the BK-Link package.
• Two 1.5m long RCA cables, male to male - included with the BK-Link package.
• ButtKicker Power Amplifier, BKA1000-4. Sold separately.
• ButtKicker(s) that are already appropriately installed. Sold separately.
• A/V processor, sold separately
“R7H-BKLINK-R” Receive Unit setup:
• Plug one end of the RCA audio cable supplied with the BK-Link package into the ButtKicker Power
Amplifier input. Plug the other end into the back of the BK-LINK Receive unit.
• Plug the a/c adapter into a wall outlet. Plug the jack end into the back of the Receive unit.
“R7H-BKLINK-S” Send Unit (transmitter) setup:
• Using a RCA audio cable, plug the subwoofer output from the A/V processor into the RCA jack in the back
of the BK-Link Send unit.
A RCA “Y” connector or Guitammer’s “Speaker Interface Level Adaptor” may be used to enable the use
of both a subwoofer and the ButtKicker with the A/V processor or to connect to A/V processors that do
not have a RCA subwoofer output.
Note: RCA “Y” connector and Speaker Level Interface Adaptor cable are part of the BK-QCP package,
sold separately.
• Plug the a/c adapter into a wall outlet. Plug the jack end into the back of the Send unit.
• With normal playback volumes set on your home theater system, adjust the potentiometer on the back of
the Send unit to where the red light just starts to blink. This sets the RF gain below clipping. Should
another source interfere with the BK-Link and cause the red light to stay on, the potentiometer must be
readjusted to prevent this from happening.
• Turn on the ButtKicker Power Amplifier and adjust the volume control (and high and low cutoff’s if
wanted) to your desired level.
