How to build your perfect
MIC series camera
For a full MIC solution you will need to consider
the following:
An overview of part numbers for MIC
series cameras
1. MIC series camera
MIC series part numbers are constructed of 17 digits,
specifically designed to incorporate all available options
for each camera.
2. MIC series Power Supply Unit (PSU)
3. If Bosch Bi-Phase control is required add Bi-Phase
converter card (see page 11 for options)
Simply go to the relevant camera range within these
pages and construct your part number.
4. MIC series cable (video, telemetry and power all-in-
one)
Power Supply Units
MIC series Power Supply Units (PSUs) are available
with various input voltages and house optional extras
such as alarm cards and washer pump drives
5. Optional bracketry – such as conduit adapter
6. Optional keyboard
(PSUs suitable for infrared ranges have these built in).

MIC412 range
Containing both a high quality optical day/night camera
module and an FLIR thermal imaging module that sit side-
by-side within the camera housing, the compact MIC412
thermal range turns from a high resolution overview
camera into a high performance thermal camera at
the press of a single button on the control keyboard.
imager to provide a range of enhanced viewing options,
such as spectral heat variance and hot and cold spot
highlights with a human detection range of over 780
meters. What’s more, the FLIR thermal imager has
built-in sun protection that allows the unit to 'self-heal'
if inadvertently pointed at the sun.
A choice of 18x or 36x day/night camera modules are
available with the latest 50mm un-cooled FLIR thermal
The thermal advantage
MIC412 Thermal (MIC412TI)
Thermal cameras do not rely on traditional optics to give
a picture, instead they pick up heat sources and display
the variances on screen. This enables them to give
extremely detailed pictures in demanding conditions
such as fog, rain, pitch-black darkness and even through
smoke and snow.

MIC series – How to commission
MIC series cameras come complete with the powerful
CAMSET configuration software to enable complete
set-up of the camera head.
Communicating with the camera head for initial
set-up
Using CAMSET software users will need to:
1. Set the individual camera address (1-254)
2. Set the Baud rate to match the controller used
To access the camera you will need the following:
1. Software disk (shipped with every camera and also
available as a download)
3. Optionally set up other options such as inverse
image and/or invert controls (for inverted mount
installations) plus advanced functionality.
2. PC or laptop computer
3. A USB to RS485, RS232 to RS485 or USB to RS232
coupled with an RS232 to RS485 converter
Please note: once the camera address and Baud rate are
set popular functions such as presets set-up and preset
tour set-up can be carried out by using the controller.

Customer care and warranty statements
Standard Warranty
All MIC series cameras come complete with
a comprehensive 3-year warranty.
3-year warranty valid from date of delivery.
Warranty covers back-to-base repair at
a MIC series Bosch approved service center.
Post Warranty Support
MIC products which have no valid warranty
will be repaired where deemed possible by an
approved service center at a pre-agreed price.
Repairs will only be carried out once the written
agreement of the Purchaser is obtained. As installation,
site location and regular maintenance may impact product
life, an approved service center reserves the right to
determine remaining lifetime and may recommend
replacement instead of repair.
Where sub components of the MIC series and its
associated peripherals remain available, such components
will be available in the MIC series aftercare program.
However, where such sub components become
unavailable, or at a prohibitive price to affect a meaningful
repair, an approved service center reserves the right to
utilise alternative components or decline to repair
products due to discontinuation of supply.
