UL Listed
CISPR/EN55022 Class A
The ATM media converters provide network connection using an RJ-45 twisted-
pair ATM connector and a set of RX (receive) and TX (transmit) SC-type ATM fiber
connectors. NOTE: Effective cable distances are determined by ambient RF noise
and by signal loss in the cable. The fiber connection, with low signal loss and high
resistance to radio frequency noise, allows extended distances between ATM
devices. Twisted-pair runs are best kept as short as possible to preserve signal
integrity.
FCC Regulations
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a class A digital device, pursuant
to part 15 of the FCC rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful
interference when the equipment is operated in a commercial environment. This equipment generates,
uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the
instruction manual, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. Operation of this
equipment in a residential area is likely to cause harmful interference, in which case the user will be
required to correct the interference at the user’s own expense.
Canadian Regulations
Status LEDs on the connector side of the media converter provide the following
information:
This digital apparatus does not exceed the Class A limits for radio noise for digital apparatus set out on
the radio interference regulations of the Canadian Department of Communications.
