Remote Start - Automatic Transmission

Note: If the remote starter fails to start, the park lights will flash a
Trouble Shooting Code. Count the number of flashes and

This feature is used to check the status of the vehicle. If the
system does not update the remote after completing a function
press Button #4 on the transmitter. The remote will then display the
current status of the system on the LCD screen.
If the system is out of operating range the remote transmitter will
beep three times quicky after a button is pressed. The antenna icon
on the top of the LCD will be gone or show no bars next to the icon.

Reservation Mode- Manual Transmission Only
Manual transmission remote starters must be set into Reservation Mode before
the remote starter will activate. There are two different ways to place the system
into Reservation Mode. The activation type of Reservation Mode is determined
when the system is installed. The default setting is Auto Reservation Mode.
Auto Reservation Mode
Step 1 - While the vehicle is running with the key, place the transmission into neutral
and apply the park brake.
Step 2 - Press and release the brake pedal twice. The park lights will flash twice,
the siren will chirp twice and the doors will unlock (optional).
Step 3 - Turn the ignition key off and the vehicle will continue running.
Step 4 - Exit the vehicle and close all the doors. The vehicle will then shut off *.
Manual Reservation Mode (Dealer Programmable Feature)
Step 1 - While the vehicle is running with the key, place the transmission into neutral
and apply the park brake.
Step 2 - Press and release button #4. The park lights will flash twice, the siren
will chirp twice and the doors will unlock (optional).
Step 3 - Turn the ignition key off and the vehicle will continue running.
Step 4 - Exit the vehicle and close all the doors.
Step 5 - Press and hold button #3 for 3 seconds, the vehicle will then shut off.
*****THE VEHICLE MAY NOW BE SAFELY REMOTE STARTED.*****
(See pages 3&4 for Remote Starter Functions.)
If Reservation Mode is not set, the remote starter will not activate. When
button #4 is pressed the park lights will flash 4 times. 4 flashes is the diagnostic
code for “Not in Reservation Mode”
Note: Reservation Mode will reset if the doors of the vehicle are opened. To re-enter
the vehicle without canceling the Reservation Mode (forgot something..) The
vehicle must first be remote started. While the vehicle is running the door may
be opened, when done in the vehicle, close the door and hold button #3
until the remote starter shuts off.
* If the vehicle has dome light delay, the vehicle may stay running until the dome
light turns off. This is normally no longer than 30 seconds.

Trunk Release
1. Press and hold button #2 and the doors will unlock, continue holding
button #2, the trunk release will activate. The trunk release will be

Car Finder Mode
Car Finder is a feature that can be used to find your vehicle in a
crowded parking lot.

draw attention to the location of the vehicle.

Panic Mode
Activating Panic Mode

Panic mode will stay activated for one minute.

Silent Arm and Disarm
Press and release buttons #1 and #2 at the same time.
If the doors were locked this will unlock the doors without chirping
the siren. The park lights will flash as confirmation of lock/ unlocking.

Siren On/Off
When this feature is programmed on the siren will only activate
when the alarm is triggered or if the Car Finder is activated.
1. Press and hold button #4 until the Timer Mode icon begins to

Cold Start/Timer Mode
Cold Start Mode will start the vehicle at a user selectable start interval or
temperature setting. The vehicle can be set to start once every 1, 2, 3 or 4
hours in Timer Mode or to start at 0,-5,-15 or -25 Celsius in Temperature
Mode (LT Models Only) for a maximum 12 starts. The vehicle will start at
the selected start interval/ temperature and run for the programmed runtime
(Normally 15min). Cold Start Mode must be set each time the user wishes
to use this feature.
Example- Timer Mode. If the 4 hour start cycle was selected, the vehicle
will start once every 4 hours and run for the programmed runtime then turn
off. This setting will keep the vehicle in Cold Start Mode for up to 2 days
before deactivating.

Example- Temp Mode (LT models only). If the -15 Celsius start cycle
was selected, the system will monitor the temperature until it falls below
-15, at this time the remote starter will activate for the programmed runtime.
The system will then wait 2 hours before checking the temperature again.
To Enter Cold Start Mode.
Press and release button #4, then press and hold Button #3 for 6 seconds
or until park lights turn on. While the park lights are on the start cycle can
be selected.
Interval/ Temperature

2 hour or -5 Celsius
3 hour or -15 Celsius

Stepping on the brake or turning on the ignition will cancel Cold Start.
Cancellation of Cold Start Mode will be confirmed with two park light
flashes and two siren chirps.

LCD DISPLAY
STATUS CHECK MODE This feature is used to
check the status of the system. To check the status
press and release Button #4 on the remote
transmitter. The remote will display the icons of the
active features on the LCD screen.
STATUS ICONS These icons display the current status of the system. The
icons may not all be present on the screen at all times, certain icons will only
turn on when a feature is activated.
ANTENNA ICON- This icon will be visible or show a series of lines
next to the icon whenever the remote is within transmitting range of the
vehicle. The icon will disappear when out of transmitting range.
KEY ICON- This icon will begin to flash when the remote starter button is
first pressed. After the vehicle has started this icon will stay on solid.
SIREN ICON- This icon indicates that the alarm has been triggered. The
remote will start to beep and the siren icon will come on solid at the same
time as the icon for the violated zone.
TRUNK ICON- This icon will be displayed on the LCD screen when the
trunk release is activated by the remote transmitter. This icon will be
displayed until the system is armed or if the status button is pressed.
BATTERY ICON- This icon is always present when the LCD screen. This
icon will indicate the current battery level for the remote transmitter. The
black area of the icon will disappear as the battery level decreases.
RUN TIMER- This icon activates during remote starting. The bar graph will
count down in 2 minute increments, indicating how much time is left on the
remote starter’s runtime.

LCD DISPLAY
User programmable features
This Feature allows the user to program system features from the transmitter. The
following icons will be displayed on the LCD to determine the status of the feature.
To Enter User Program Mode
1. Press and hold button #4 for three seconds. The Timer Icon will begin to flash,
the system is now in User Program Mode.
2. Press button #1 to scroll the list of features. Selected feature icon will begin to
flash. Press button #2 to turn the feature icon Off, Press button #3 to turn the
feature icon On. Press button #4 to exit program mode and save settings.
*If the remote is not used for 20 seconds the system will exit Program Mode.
TIMER ICON- When this icon is displayed in the left program column if
confirms that the Timer Mode has been programmed ON. When this icon
is turned on in remote program mode the Cold Start feature will be
activated. Cold Start will default to the last time or temperature setting.
KEY ICON- When this icon is displayed the remote starter has
encountered a start fault. The start fault must be corrected before the
remote starter will activate again.
HORN ICON(Chirp Delete) - This icon indicates the status of the chirp
delete feature. If the icon is on, the horn will work normally. If the icon is
not displayed the chirp delete feature is on and the horn will not chirp.
Note: Chirp delete disables the Lock and Unlock chirps Only.
SHOCK SENSOR ICON - This icon indicates the status of the shock
sensor. If the icon is present on the LCD screen the shock sensor is active.
SERVICE MODE ICON- This icon indicates the status of the Service
Mode feature. If this icon is present, the system is in Service Mode.
*While in Service Mode, only the keyless entry features will operate.

VIBRATION/SOUND ICON- This icon indicates the status of the
Vibration and Sound features of the transmitter. If the icon is on, the
remote will vibrate and not beep. (Not on all Models)
To activate this feature press and hold buttons #3 and #4 four 5 seconds.

Shock Sensor Programming/ Adjustment
Press and hold buttons #1 and #2 for three seconds. The park lights will flash
and the siren will three times.
While the park lights are on strike the vehicle with the amount of force wanted to
trigger the alarm*. Hit the vehicle with the same amount of force three time, the
siren will chirp each time the system detects the Impact.

*Strike the vehicle with the palm of the hand, be careful not to impact the vehicle in
a area that may cause damage. The most common location for testing and setting
the shock sensor is the A-pillar. The A-Pillar is the metal support that runs from the
roof of the vehicle to the hood area.

This feature can be used if the vehicle is parked in an area with above average
noise or vibrations. (Airports, construction zone...)

To Temporally Bypass The Shock
Press the button #1 to arm the alarm then press button #3 within three seconds.
The system will chirp once when the lock button is pressed and once when the start
button is pressed. The shock sensor will be disabled until the system is disarmed
and the rearmed again.
Note: The shock sensor can be programmed by the remote transmitter. Hold
button #4 until the 1st program icon begins to flash the use button #1 to scroll to the
hammer symbol. Press button #2 to deactivate the shock sensor. To turn the sensor
back on select the hammer symbol and press the button #3.

Setting The Time (On equipped models only)
1) Press and hold buttons #1 and #4 until the minute portion of the

clock begins to flash.
2) To set the minute, press button #3 to increase and button #2 to
decrease the minute.
3) To set the hour, press button #1 and the hour portion of the clock
will begin to flash.
4) To set the hour, press button #3 to increase and button #2 to
decrease the hour. To set the AM/ PM icon, continue changing the
hour until the appropriate icon is displayed.
Note: The remote will exit clock adjust if there is no activity for 20
seconds.
Silent Remote Operation (On equipped models only)
This feature allows the user to switch the remote sound or vibrations
features on or off.
The default setting on the system is audible sound confirmation (Beeps)
from the remote transmitter when a button is pressed on the remote
transmitter. To turn the “Beeps” off and have vibration confirmation,
press and hold buttons #3 and #4 on the remote transmitter for 5 seconds.
The vibration icon (See on left) will appear and the remote will vibrate
once as confirmation. To set the remote back to “Beeps” press and hold
buttons #3 and #4 for 5 seconds. The vibration icon will turn off and the
remote will beep as confirmation.

Service Mode
ATTENTION: TO AVOID SERIOUS INJURY, this remote start system must be
set into Service Mode before any under hood servicing is started. Service
Mode will prevent the vehicle from starting while the vehicle is being
serviced. It is the sole responsibility of the vehicle’s owner to place the
system into Service Mode. The manufacture accepts no responsibility for
accidental starting of the vehicle while the vehicle is being serviced.
System Service Mode(Valet) - By Remote
ACTIVATE/DEACTIVATE Service Mode (User Programmable Feature)
1 - Press and hold button #4 for 3 seconds. (The remote will beep twice)
2 - Press button #1 Five times or until the ? starts flashing on the screen.
3 - Press button #3 to activate or #2 to deactivate Service Mode.
4 - Press button #4 to exit User Program Mode.
The System is Now in Service Mode.
5 - The siren will chirp once and the LEDs on the antenna will come on solid.
Emergency Service Mode - (Valet Mode)
This feature will disable the system except for lock, unlock and trunk functions.
This mode is used if a remote is misplaced, damaged or if the system malfunctions.
If the system was installed with a starter disable this feature will disable the starter
disable relay and allow the vehicle to start.
Activate/ Deactivate Service Mode (Valet Mode)
To enter Service Mode turn the ignition key to the “On” position then press and hold
the Program Button located on the antenna for 5 seconds. The system will chirp the
siren 5 times as confirmation. To Deactivate Service Mode, turn the ignition key
“On” and hold the Program Button Until The siren Chirps 2 times.
While the system is in Service Mode the remote starter and alarm functions will be
disabled and the LEDs on the antenna will come “On” steady. As confirmation of
Service Mode. The door lock, unlock and the trunk release will still be operational.

Diagnostics/ Diagnostics Chart
If the remote starter does not activate when button #3 is pressed the park lights
will flash a diagnostic to indicate what shutdown input has been triggered.
Example when the start button is pressed the park lights flash 3 times slowly.
Looking at the chart below this would indicate that the system is in Service Mode.

Being that the installer does not always see when the system shuts down or fails to
start, Diagnostic Memory will store in memory up to four shutdown codes.
This information can then be accessed to determine the source of the shutdown.
To Enter Diagnostic Mode:
Step 1 - Turn the ignition on then off. Press the Program Button and release.
Step 2 - The system will respond with three park light flashes and the siren will chirp
the same number of times as the events in memory. (Maximum 4 events, 4 chirps).
NOTE: If the siren does not chirp, there are no events in memory.
Step 3 - Press the Program Button once to view the last shut down code. The siren
will chirp once to confirm code one. (If the siren does not chirp, there are no codes.)
Step 4 - The LEDs on the antenna will flash a code corresponding to a shut down
trigger. Press the Program Button again to check the second code. The siren will chirp
twice to confirm code two.
Step 5 - To Clear Diagnostic Memory. While in Diagnostic Mode press and hold the
Program Button for five seconds. The park lights will flash and the siren will chirp once.
NOTE: Once diagnostic memory has 4 shutdown events in memory, the system will not
Record any further shutdown events until the system memory has been cleared.

Limited Lifetime Warranty
The manufacturer warrants to the original purchaser of their remote starters and alarms, that the product
shall be free from defects in material and workmanship. However, should this product be proven to be
defective, within a two year period from the original date of purchase, the manufacturer will, without
charge to the purchaser (excluding any charges incurred to have the product delivered to the
manufacturer), repair or replace any part of the remote starter and/or alarm which the manufacturer agrees
to be defective. After the initial 2 year period the manufacture shall repair or replace defective products with
a nominal processing fee of $30.00 USD. All warranties apply to the original purchaser and the vehicle in
which it was originally installed ONLY. Repairs or replacement of defective modules shall remain at the
discretion of the manufacturer. All other parts, components, accessories and/or optional equipment
pertaining to the remote starter and alarm are not included in the manufacturer’s warranty.
This warranty is non-transferable. Request for warranty service from any Factory Authorized Dealer
must be accompanied with the original purchase receipt or have product registered by authorized
dealer on manufacturer’s website.
Failure to comply with any of these conditions may result in warranty being voided.
This warranty does not cover the following: removal and reinstall labor charges, shipping charges, abuse,
misuse, or accidental damages to the remote starter and alarm, automobile, and/or parts there of. This
warranty is void upon modification, repairs, or alterations of any part of the product. The manufacturer does
not guarantee or insure against theft of the vehicle or its contents. Alarm models are designed only to act
as a deterrent against possible theft. This alarm may qualify for auto insurance discounts, contact your
Insurance Agent for further information . The manufacturer shall not be held liable for any consequential
damages due to breach of this or any other warranty, expressed, or implied. This warranty gives you
specific legal rights. Your specific legal rights may vary for each region.
CERTAIN DAMAGES EXCLUDED - The manufacturer expressly disclaims any liability or responsibility
for incidental damages caused by the product, including economic loss, loss of use of the product, car
rentals, or any other costs relating to the care and custody of the product. The manufacturer disclaims
liability or responsibility for any consequential damages caused by the product or resulting from its use,
including the cost of repairing or replacing other property damaged by the product or caused by its use,
whether or not the product is working properly. The product is intended to deter unauthorized use of the
vehicles in which it is installed. The manufacturer does not warrant that the product is fool-safe against
theft and/or vandalism and/or human error or misuse. The manufacturer accepts no liability or
responsibility for any damage of any kind whatsoever caused to any vehicle in which the product is
installed or any resulting damage from its use. The manufacturer accepts no responsibility or liability for
any damage resulting to or theft of the vehicle or its contents, caused or alleged to be caused, directly or
indirectly, by failure of the product.
MANUAL TRANSMISSION STARTERS the installation of a remote starter MUST only be done with a
specified manual transmission starter. It is the sole responsibility of the vehicles operator to
insure that the vehicle is left with the transmission in neutral position when the remote starter is in
use. The manual transmission starter is designed to be an added measure of safety ONLY! The
manufacturer does not guarantee or insure against any damages or loss of life that could result in
the event of a remote starter starting while the vehicle is in gear. Manual transmission models are
designed only to act as a deterrent against the vehicle starting in gear, this is the vehicle’s owner’s
and operator’s responsibility.
