Driver Installation
Windows98/98SE
1. At the Add New Hardware Wizard, click Next.
2. Select Search for the best driver for your device
(Recommended), then click Next.
3. InsertthedriverCD,checkCD-ROMdrives,uncheck
the other boxes and click Next.
4.
Click Next, then Finish.
5. Restart Windows to complete the installation.
WindowsME
1. At the Add New Hardware Wizard, choose
Automatic search for a better ...
2. Insert the driver CD, click Next, then click Finish.
3. Restart Windows to complete the installation.
Windows2000
1. At the Found New Hardware Wizard, click Next.
2. Select Search for a suitable driver for my device
(recommended), and click Next.
3. Check CD-ROM drives, uncheck the other boxes,
and click Next.
4. Click Next and Finish.
5. Restart Windows to complete the installation.

WindowsXP/Server2003
1. At the Found New Hardware Wizard,
XP (w/SP1 or earlier)/Server 2003: continue to step #2
XP(w/SP2orlater)/Server2003(w/SP1orlater): select
No, not at this time, then click Next.
2. Choose Install from a list or specific location
(Advanced), then click Next.
3. InsertthedriverCD,checkSearchremovablemedia
(folppy, CD-ROM...), uncheck the other check box
and click Next.
4. If the Hardware Installation window pops up, click
Continue Anyway, then Finish. Our driver has been
testedforstabilityandcompatibility.
5. Restart Windows to complete the installation.
Toverifysuccessfuldriverinstallation:
1. Check Device Manager to verify successful driver
installation.
Windows 98/98SE/ME:From the main desktop, right
click My Computer, then click Properties. Click
Device Manager tab.
Windows 2000/XP/Server 2003: Right click My
Computer, then click Manage. Click Device
Manager.
2. Double click Ports (Com&LPT), find PCMCIA
RS232-550..., and double click it to display it's
properties. In the next window This device is
workingproperlywilldisplaywhentheinstallation
is successful.

Changing COM Port Address
Some serial devices need a specific COM port in order to
work. If your serial device works properly, do not
change this setting. This option is only for Windows
2000/XP/Server 2003 respectively.
1. From the Device Manager window double click
Ports (COM & LPT), then double click PCMCIA
RS232-550...
2. Click Port Settings tab and click Advanced.
3. Click the down arrow that is next to the COM Port
Number box and select a COM port that is not in
use. Click OK.
4. Click OK, then close Device Manager to save the
changes.

will not be responsible for a product returned without an
RMA number posted on the outside of the shipping carton.
