All Manuals Search And Download.   Front Out (green):   This jack should connect to powered left and right   speakers located to the left and right of your computer   monitor. If you have a two speakers stereo setup, this is   the jack to use. You can also plug a pair of stereo   headphones into this jack.   Rear Out (black):   This line-level output should be connected to powered   Left and Right Surround speakers. These speakers   should located to your left and right sides, behind your   head.   Surround Out (black):   This line-level output connects to powered left and   right center support channel speakers. These speakers   should be located directly to your left and right sides as   you are looking at your computer monitor.   Center/Subwoofer (orange):   This line-level output connects to powered Center and   Subwoofer speakers. The Center channel speakers   should be directly above or below your monitor and the   subwoofer can just go about anywhere it will fit in your   room.   S/PDIF Out:   The Digital Output jack is a S/PDIF Coaxial output you   can use with an RCA cable to connect to a digital   recorder, mixer or surround receiver. A 75 Ohm digital   coaxial cable is required for this type of connection.   4 Download from Www.Somanuals.com. Since the design of computer cases and   motherboards vary, refer to your computer reference   manual for further information, if needed.   Static Electricity Discharge may permanently damage   your system. Discharge any static electricity build up in   your body by touching your computer case for a few   seconds. Avoid any contact with internal parts and   handle cards only by their external edges.   1. Turn OFF the power to your computer.   2.   Unplugthepowercordandremoveyourcomputer   cover.   3. Remove the slot bracket from an available PCI slot.   4. Carefully align the card to the selected PCI slot,   push the board down firmly, but gently, until it is   well seated.   5. Replace the slot bracket holding screw to secure   the card.   6. Connect one end of the audio cable from your   CD-ROMorDVD-playertotheCD-InorAux-Inon   the soundcard.   7. Replace the computer cover and reconnect the   power cord.   Driver Installation   Windows2000/XP/Server2003   1. After installing the board boot up Windows.   2. Insert the software CD, Autorun should start the   installation automatically. If Autorun does not   start, click Start, Run. Type X:\Setup.exe, then   click OK. (Replace X: with the drive letter of your   CD-ROM)   4. Click Next, Next, Next.   5. Choose Yes, I want to restart my computer now,   then click Finish.   WindowsVista™   1. After installing the board boot up Windows.   2. At the new Add New Hardware Wizard, click   Cancel.   3.   Insert the software CD, Autorun should start the   installation automatically. If Autorun does not   start, click Start, in the Start Search box,type   X:\Setup.exe, press Enter. Click Control Panel, double click Add/Remove   Programs.   4. Select C-Media PCI Audio, then click   Change/Remove or Add/Remove.   5. Follow the on screen instructions to complete the   uninstall, then restart your system.   WindowsVista   1. Click Start.   2. Click Control Panel, double click Uninstall a   program under Programs.   4. Select C-Media PCI Audio, then click   Uninstall/Change.   5. Follow the on screen instructions to complete the   uninstall, then restart your system.   Xear 3D Software   Included on the SoundWave 7.1 PCI software CD is Xear   3D. Xear3Disanaudiosetuputilityforyoursoundcard.   Xear 3D quick start icon, located in the system tray by   the clock, installs automatically during driver   installation. In addition to configuring speaker type,   sound effects and listening environment, the utility   includes mixer,equalizerandkaraokesoftware.
