1. Do not play your radio player at a high volume. Hearing

6. Sounds can be deceiving. Over time your hearing comfortable leveladapts to  
higher volumes of sound. So what sounds normalcan actually be loud and  
harmful to your hearing. Guard against this by setting your equipment at a safe  
level before your hearing adapts.

Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.  
Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.  
Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the  
receiver is connected.  
TO ESTABLISH A SAFE LEVEL:  
Start your volume control at a low setting.

Consult the dealer or an experienced radio / TV technician for help.  
Slowly increase the sound until you can hear it at a comfortable and clear level,  
and without distortion.  
Once you have established a comfortable sound level: Leave it there.

BATTERY INSTALLATION  
ANTENNAS  
1. Rotate the belt clip to the right.  
Your new radio is equipped with a built-in ferrite rod antenna for use on the AM BAND,  
plus a TELESCOPING ANTENNA for FM reception. Since all transistor radios are  
slightly directional, it is desirable to rotate the radio to obtain the best reception.  
2. Lift and pull the BATTERY DOOR out.  
3. Insert 3 size AAalkaline batteries.  
4. We recommend alkaline batteries for longer life.  
5. Close the BATTERY DOOR.  
FOR PRIVATE LISTENING  
You may plug the earphone into the earphone jack on the left side of the radio. The  
built-in speaker will automatically be disconnected.  
Do not mix old and new batteries.  
Do not mix alkaline, standard (Carbon-Zinc) or rechargeable (Nickel-Cadmium)  
batteries.  
GENERAL INFORMATION  
Replacement of batteries must be done by adult.  
6. Rotate the belt clip back to the left.  
This set works best outdoors or in buildings without steel frames. Metallic objects  
block radio waves.  
The use of this earphone radio while driving a car or cycling is not advised as  
the earphone could block out surrounding sounds resulting in a possible traffic  
accident. For safety, do not use loud volume with earphone.

We warrant this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal  
use for a period of 90 days after purchase and we will repair it free of charge or replace it at no  
charge, should it become defective under this warranty, providing you submit proof of purchase  
(sales slip) with the set.

During the initial 90 day period after original purchase, we will service or exchange, at no  
charge, the set that is returned to LENOXX ELECTRONICS CORP. After the initial 90 day  
period expires, and for a period of 12 months from original purchase, we will repair the unit  
covering any part(s) that need to be replaced at no charge, but will charge for the cost of labor,  
return postage paid by LENOXX.  
BATTERY REPLACEMENT  
This warranty does not apply to any products which have been subject to misuse, neglect or  
accident. This warranty does not cover broken earphone or cabinet. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES  
WILL LENOXX ELECTRONICS CORP. BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR  
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental  
or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.  
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which  
vary from state to state. The following charges apply to repairs beyond the warranty period:  
$2.00. Be sure to pack carefully and return postage paid insured together with your money order  
(personal checks will not be accepted) and sales receipt to: LENOXX ELECTRONICS CORP.,

Exhausted batteries may leak and damage the set, or cause weak or distorted  
reception. Replace batteries when required. When the set is not to be used for an  
extended period, remove the batteries from the radio.  
RADIO OPERATION  
AM broadcast band:  
1. Slide the BAND switch to AM position.  
2. Rotate the VOLUME control downwards past click, the set will turn on. To turn the  
set off, rotate the VOLUME control upwards until past click.  
3. Tune the set to the desired station by rotating the TUNING control.  
4. Best reception can be received by carefully tuning the set and rotating the set slightly.
