NOTE: Before you drill or cut a hole in your boat, BE ABSOLUTELY
CERTAIN there is room for the Ski Tow and the internal
2-1/2" x 5" (64mm x 127mm) Backing Plate. See Figure 2.

Stainless Steel Ski Tow
Installation Instructions
1. Carefully mark center of the hole.
2. Use a 2-1/8" (54mm) hole saw to cut hole for the Ski Tow. See
Figure 2.
3. Separate fasteners and Backing Plate from the Ski Tow and set
aside. Apply a small bead of marine sealant to the groove under
the Ski Tow flange. Place Ski Tow in the hole cutout.

4. Align Ski Tow so the hook is vertical and the opening is up.

5. From inside the transom, fit Backing Plate over the Ski Tow studs.
Of the four holes, the two holes in the center will fit on the Ski Tow.

6. Attach fasteners to the Ski Tow studs. Tighten firmly, but do not
damage transom or gelcoat by overtightening.
This product carries a limited Lifetime Warranty.

This Attwood Ski Tow is intended for recreational water sport
applications only.

The Ski Tow is not to be used for watercraft towing, lifting, or for any
other anchoring application. Any misuse of the intended application
will void the warranty and may result in personal injury and/or
damage to the boat.

To prevent injury, remove boat from water when installing this
product and before using 120V power tools.

(“Attwood”) warrants to the original consumer purchaser that, under normal
use and service, this Attwood brand product will be free from defects in
materials and workmanship for the service life of the vessel on which it is
originally installed. This limited warranty is not applicable if the product has
been damaged by accident, improper installation, unreasonable or improper
use, lack of proper maintenance, unauthorized repairs or modifications,
normal wear and tear, or other causes not arising out of defects in materials
or workmanship. Attwood products are warranted for use on pleasure boats.
Any other use - including but not limited to commercial, racing, or non-marine
use - are not covered under this warranty. Attwood’s obligation under this
warranty is limited to repair of the product at Attwood’s plant or replacement
of the products at Attwood’s option without expense to the original consumer
purchaser. Any expenses involved in the removal, reinstallation or transportation
of the product are not covered by this warranty. The product must be
returned to Attwood’s plant at the address above, postage prepaid, and
insured with proof of original purchase including date. If Attwood is unable
to replace the product and repair is not commercially practical or cannot be
timely made, or if the original consumer purchaser is willing to accept a refund
in lieu of repair or replacement, Attwood may refund the purchase price, less
an amount for depreciation. The acceptance by Attwood of any product
returned or any refund provided by Attwood shall not be deemed an
admission that the product is defective or in violation of any warranty.
Products that are replaced or for which a refund is issued become the
property of Attwood.
LOCATION
Select an installation location that meets the following criteria:
• Ski Tow should be centered on the transom, with the hook vertical
and the opening pointing up to accept ski line. To avoid line slipping
off the hook, fold it through the end loop to form a knot as shown
in Figure 1.
• Location on vessel must be able to withstand anticipated loads.
• Transom must be a minimum of 3/4" (19mm) thick.
• Interior space behind the Ski Tow must be large enough
to accommodate the internal 2-1/2"x 5" (64mm x 127mm)
Backing Plate.
• Access to the interior of the transom is necessary to install the
Backing Plate.
