KEY FEATURES  
BATTERY INSTALLATION  
1. Replace the battery when the “low battery”  
warning symbol appears.  
Your child’s temperature is taken every  
5 seconds  
• The thermometer transmits your child’s  
temperature to your portable Parents’ Unit  
every 10 seconds  
2. Use a coin to rotate the battery cover (on the  
back) counter-clockwise to open.  
3. Insert a new 3-volt CR2032 lithium battery  
with the anode (+) side facing up and close  
the battery cover.  
• Alerts you if your child’s fever is rising  
• Alarm can be set for 5 different temperature  
readings: 98°F, 99°F, 100°F, 101°F, and  
102°F/36.7°C, 37.2°C, 37.8°C, 38.3°C, and  
38.9°C  
• Alarm will sound if the Child’s Thermometer  
loses contact with the skin or has been  
accidentally turned off  
• Child’s Thermometer is water resistant  
• Small and lightweight design makes it  
comfortable for both child and parent to wear  
• Powers off automatically to ensure a long  
battery life if the temperature has measured  
below 91.4°F/33°C for more than 20 minutes  
• Special belt included to insure thermometer is  
secured against the child’s stomach  
• Easy to read LCD display  
• Temperature shown in Fahrenheit (F) or

Parents’ Unit  
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE  
1. Turn on the baby’s thermometer by pressing  
the power button for approximately 2 sec-  
onds. The LCD display will show the  
temperature data.  
Buzzer: An alarm for  
abnormal temperatures  
Warning Light: Alarm  
2. Clip the thermometer to the  
baby’s diaper, pajamas, or  
our special belt, approxi-  
mately one inch (2-3 cen-  
timeters) to the left of the  
belly button. If you are using  
the belt provided, it’s best to  
fasten it over the diaper or  
pajamas to avoid any

Warning Cancel Button:  
Temporarily cancels buzzer sound  
possible irritation. Make  
sure the temperature sensor

your baby is wearing clothing  
covering the stomach to avoid the loss of  
body heat.  
Power Button:  
A. Push 2 seconds to turn power on or off  
B. Push to set the fever alarm temperature  
Child’s Thermometer  
3. Turn on the Parents’ Unit by pressing the  
power button for approximately 2 seconds.  
The LCD display will show it is searching for  
the signal from the thermometer. After  
several seconds the LCD display will show  
the temperature reading received from the  
thermometer.

4. To switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit, press  
the (S) button for approximately 2 seconds. Both  
units have to be independently set.

5. To set the alarm push the power button and  
the LCD display will flash an alarm setting  
and read “SET.” The temperature alarm has  
five settings: 98°, 99°, 100°, 101°, and  
102°F/36.7°C, 37.2°C, 37.8°C, 38.3°C, and  
38.9°C. To change the alarm setting press  
the (S) button once for each setting until you  
reach the desired temperature.  
UNDERSTANDING THE SYMBOLS  
• Information is being received  
• Temperature is under the alarm  
set point  
• Temperature reading is at or  
above the set point  
Remember, temperature readings taken abdominally may be  
.7°~1.4°F (.4°C~.8°C) lower than rectal readings. This differ-  
ential should be considered when monitoring your childs tem-  
perature and when you set the alarm. For example, you may  
want to set the alarm for 100 if you want to know if your  
childs fever reaches 101. (See Note on P. 3)

6. After you have set the alarm push the power  
button again and the LCD screen will return  
to the monitor mode showing your child’s  
temperature.

7. The first time the Fever Monitor is used wait  
approximately 20 minutes for the thermo-  
meter to reach a fully accurate temperature  
read. After the first time, no waiting period is  
required.

depressing the “Cancel” button on the  
Parents’ Unit.

9. To achieve maximum transmission range,  
avoid placing the Parents’ Unit on or close to  
metal articles or electrical appliances.  
Use of the Remote Fever Monitor should not replace a visit to  
your doctor. It is recommended that you advise your doctor  
any time a temperature is above 100°F/37.8°C.

CARE AND CLEANING  
TROUBLESHOOTING  
1. The Remote Fever Monitor is a delicate  
electronic device. To insure proper functioning,  
do not immerse either unit in water and avoid  
dropping them.  
Poor Reception  
Cause: Child’s Thermometer is not sending a  
signal or the distance between both units is  
beyond the specified range for over 40 seconds.  
Effect: Parents’ Unit will beep 3 times at 10  
second intervals and the receiving symbol will  
disappear and SCAN will appear.  
2. Clean both units with a soft cloth moistened  
with either water or alcohol. Never use an  
abrasive.  
Solution: Check the position of the thermometer  
and/or move back into the transmission range.  
3. Keep out of the reach of children and in the  
storage case when not in use. The optimal  
storage temperature is between -4°~140°F/-  
20°~60°C.  
Low Battery  
Cause: Battery power is too low to operate the  
unit.  
Effect: Parents’ Unit will beep every 5 minutes

not operating properly, please check the  
batteries first. If it still does not operate  
normally, or you are having other technical

Solution: Change the battery in whichever unit  
is causing the problem or in both units.  
Temperature Too Low  
Cause: Thermometer lost contact with baby’s  
skin or the baby’s temperature is too low.

malfunctions for a period of one year from the  
original purchase date. Battery life or damage
