IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should
always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury
to persons, including the following:
• Read all instructions before using appliance.
• To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not immerse the waffle
baker in water or other liquids. See instructions for cleaning.
• This appliance not for use by children.
• Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used near
children.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to
cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the
appliance.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles with care.
• Do not operate any damaged appliance. Do not operate with a
damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions, or has
been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest autho-
rizedservice center for examination, repair, electrical or mechan-
ical adjustment.
• When using this appliance, provide 4 to 6 inches air space above,

is normal for newly manufactured appliances.
3. After approximately 5 minutes, the indicator light will go off. Raise lid
and pour in 1/3 cup batter; close lid. Any waffle recipe or mix may be
baked in waffle baker. The amount of batter may vary with the recipe
or brand of mix.
The flexible hinge on the waffle baker permits the waffle to expand
during cooking.
4. When the light goes off, gently lift lid to check color. If lid shows resis-
tance to lifting, close top and watch for steaming to stop before check-
ing again.
5. Remove waffle when browned using only plastic, nylon or wooden
utensils.
6. When finished baking, unplug and cool before cleaning.
WAFFLES
flour
1 3/4 cups
egg yolks, beaten
vegetable oil
milk

baking powder 2 tsp
sugar
salt
1/3 cup
1 1/2 cups
1 TBL
1/2 tsp
egg whites, stiffly beaten 3
Sift together dry ingredients in mixing bowl. Combine egg yolks, oil and
milk and stir into dry ingredients. Carefully fold in egg whites, do not over
mix. Pour approximately 1/3 cup batter onto the preheated grid. Close
and bake.
Yields approximately 10 waffles.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION:Unplug from electrical outlet before cleaning.Never immerse
appliance in water. Allow waffle baker to cool before cleaning.
1. After each use, wipe cooking surface with a damp cloth and dry. To
remove stubborn stains use a damp plastic pad or mesh puff and mild
soap. Rinse with a damp cloth and dry. Do not use steel wool or
coarse scouring pads.
2. The exterior finish should be cleaned with a non-abrasive cleaner and
a soft, damp cloth.
Any servicing requiring disassembly other than the above cleaning
must be performed by an authorized service center.

If an authorized service center is not available locally, your appliance may be
returned postage prepaid to our National Service Center at the address shown in
the warranty statement.
Products must be adequately protected to avoid shipping damage. Surround your
appliance with three inches of protective padding and include a note explaining the
problem you have experienced.We recommend insuring your package. No C.O.D.
shipments accepted.
ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Toastmaster Inc. warrants this product, to original purchaser, for one year from pur-
chase date to be free of defects in material and workmanship.
This warranty is the only written or express warranty given by Toastmaster Inc.This war-
ranty gives you specific legal rights. You may have other rights which vary from state to state.
ANY OTHER RIGHT WHICH YOU MAY HAVE, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY
OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE IS LIMITED IN
DURATIONTO THE DURATION OF THISWARRANTY.
Defective product may be brought or sent (freight prepaid) to an authorized service center
listed in the phone book, or to Service Department, Toastmaster Inc., 708 South Missouri
St., Macon, MO 63552, for free repair or replacement at our option.
Your remedy does not include:cost of inconvenience, damage due to product failure, trans-
portation damages, misuse, abuse, accident or the like, or commercial use. IN NO EVENT
SHALL TOASTMASTER INC. BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAM-
AGES.
Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or allow the
exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or
exclusions may not apply to you.
