device’s manual you are about to power before plugging it in.

OPERATINg INSTRUCTIONS
The Universal Power and Adapter Kit comes in a carrying case with 10
adapter plugs. Select the appropriate connector for the device you would
like to operate.
4.1
4.2
Setting the Converter voltage
Determine the proper voltage setting by checking the electronic device
rating plate, owner’s manual, or number of batteries.
Plugging Adapter Plugs into the Universal Power and Adapter Kit
and Electronic Device:
After selecting the appropriate adapter plug, push into the Universal Pow-
er and Adapter Kit’s cord plug. NOTE: Each connector has a tab guide so
that they will only fit into the plug one way. Forcing the connector into the
plug the wrong way (reversed polarity) will cause damage to your device
and/or Universal Power and Adapter Kit.
Make sure the electronic device is turned off. Firmly push the selected
adapter into the device input socket.
4.3
Plugging Universal Power and Adapter Kit in vehicle:
Make sure that the 12V accessory (cigarette) outlet in your vehicle is free
of any materials and debris. Particles in the accessory outlet could cause
a short; blowing the fuse in your vehicle and/or Universal Power and
Adapter Kit.
Make sure that the vehicle’s engine is off and there is not anything
plugged into the Universal Power and Adapter Kit other than the selected
connector.
Firmly plug the 12V end of the Universal Power and Adapter Kit into the
12V accessory outlet.
NOTE: Some vehicles’ 12V outlets are not live unless the key is turned
to the ACC position. If the red LED does not illuminate on the Universal
Power and Adapter Kit, turn the vehicle’s key to the ACC position without
starting the engine.
The Red LED illuminates when the Universal Power and Adapter Kit
converter receives power from the 12V accessory outlet. The Universal
Power and Adapter Kit is equipped with a five amp fuse, located in the
neck of the converter, for overload protection. See the Troubleshooting
section for instructions on how to replace the fuse.
Turn on the electronic device.
It is not recommended to leave the Universal Power and Adapter Kit
plugged into the vehicle’s 12V accessory outlet while the car is not run-
ning. Doing so may drain the vehicle’s battery.
WARNING: To ensure that damage will not occur, check voltage and
polarity of electronic device before using this product. ALWAYS SWITCH
OFF APPLIANCES PRIOR TO INSERTION OF PLUGS. Failure to do so
may cause damage that is not covered by the normal warranty. It is best to

check your owner’s manual.
4.4
Storage of Adapter Plugs and Converter:
The carrying case is equipped with 10 pocket holders for the adapter
plugs and a strap for the converter.
• The first four pockets across the top are specifically labeled for each con-
nector.
The rest of the pockets have suggested labels, but the adapter plugs can
be stored in any of the six pockets that you feel fit for your devices.
5.
POwER SOURCE AND OUTPUTS
The Universal Power and Adapter Kit operates with any 12 - 16.5V DC
power source. The converter’s power is dependant on and is determined
by the charge and life of the vehicle’s battery.
The Universal Power and Adapter Kit supplies DC voltage in the range of
3V, 4.5V, 5V (USB), 6V, 9V and 12V DC at a maximum of 2 amps. Setting
the wrong voltage may damage the device you are trying to power.
Read the device’s owner’s manual specifications under the “input”
section to determine proper voltage. Using devices rated over 2
Amps will blow the fuse and could cause damage to the Universal
Power and Adapter Kit.
