Turn On or Off the Camera
Press down the"POWER" button toturn on thecamera.
Repeat the wayabove to turnoff the camera.
Loading the Battery
1. Power offthe camera.
2. Slide outBattery / MemoryCard Cover toopen it.
3. Following thepolarity indications andload the battery.
4. Close theBattery / MemoryCard Cover.
The below symbolson the TFTLCD Monitor arethe indication
of the batterystatus.

The battery mayrun off ifthe battery iskept inside thecamera
for a longtime without using. Please remove thebattery when
the camera isnot in use.

It's normal thatthe temperature ofthe camera risesafter
used for along period.

Getting Ready
Charging The Battery With The Charger
The battery isnot charged whenthe camera isshipped. Charge thebattery before use.
Charging Procedure
(a) Insert thebattery to thebattery slot bythe polarity indications.
(b) Connect thecharger to theelectrical outlet.
(c) The LEDwill light upin red colorwhen charging.
(d) The chargingis completed whenthe LED turnsgreen.
(e) Remove thebattery when thecharging is completed.
It is recommendedto charge anew battery formore than
4 hours.
It's normal thatthe temperature ofthe battery and
camera body risesafter a periodof time ofusing.

Getting Ready
A message of "Low Light!" appearing on the TFT LCD Monitor is a warning to remind you to go to the Flash Mode and selectAuto Flash
or Fill-in flash to get more light sources so as to compose a superior quality image.
In such cases shown as follows, please release the shutter button, then try to re-compose the shot and focus again because the Auto Focus
function may be difficult to use with.
The subject is far away from the photographer or in the dark.
The subject is viewed through a piece of glass or window.
A fast-moving or a flashing subject is passing through.
The subject has a reflection attribute like a mirror, a luminous body, or a lustrous subject.
Do not touch the lens when it is in use.

Getting Ready
Inserting or Removing a Memory Card
1. Power off the camera.
2. Open the Battery / Memory Card Cover.
3. Insert the memory card into the card slot and press it
down until a click sound happens. (Please press the
memory card again to get it out once a click sound happens.)
4. Close the Memory Card Cover.
Formatting a brand new memory card is strongly
recommended for first use.
The image(s) can bestored either in built-inflash memory
or in memorycard. When the memory card is inserted, the
images willbe stored in the memory card rather than the
built-in flash memory.On the other hand, the images will be
stored in the built-in flashmemory when a memory card is
not inserted.

1. Press downthe POWER Buttonto turn onthe camera.
2. Set theMode button at Image Shooting Mode(

Movie Clip Mode (
) formovie recording andVoice RecordingMode( ) forvoice recording.
3. Use TELE/WIDEButton to zoomin and zoomout.
4. Press theshutter button halfway to dothe focusing andthen press theshutter button fullydown to capturean image.
5. The LEDIndicator starts blinkingright after theShutter Button isreleased. Once theLED Indicator stopsblinking, you are
ready to takeanother shot.
Or you canpress Playback Button( ) toview the imagesor movie clipsyou just took.
