1. Applicable standards and operating environment
The apparatus is compliant with:
• standards EN55103-1 and EN55103-2 1996.11, and
• electromagnetic environments E1, E2, E3 and E4
2. Pre-requisite conditions to achieving compliance with the above standards
<1> Peripheral equipment to be connected to the apparatus and special connecting cables

3. Performance level
The performance level of the apparatus is equivalent to or better than the performance level required by these standards.
However, the apparatus may be adversely affected by interference if it is being used in an EMC environment, such as an
area where strong electromagnetic fields are generated (by the presence of signal transmission towers, cellular phones, etc.).
In order to minimize the adverse effects of the interference on the apparatus in cases like this, it is recommended that the
following steps be taken with the apparatus being affected and with its operating environment:
1. Place the apparatus at a distance from the source of the interference.
2. Change the direction of the apparatus.
3. Change the connection method used for the apparatus.
4. Connect the apparatus to another power outlet where the power is not shared by any other appliances.

This camera head is for use with the AG-HMR10 memory card portable recorder only. It cannot be
connected to any device other than the AG-HMR10.

Operating precautions
The camera head becomes warm during usage.
This is not a defect.
As much as possible, avoid using the unit
close to radio towers and high-voltage lines.
• If used close to these places, radio waves and
high voltage can adversely affect recorded audio
and video.
Do not allow any water to get into the unit when
using it in the rain or snow or at the beach.
• Failure to heed this caution will cause the unit to
malfunction (and may result in irreparable damage).
If using the unit at the beach or any place that
is sandy or dusty, take care that sand and dust
do not get inside the unit or on its terminals.
Do not allow the unit to get wet with salt water,
etc.
• Sand and dust can damage the unit.
• If the unit has come in contact with salt water,
wipe with a cloth that has been well wrung out,
then wipe with a dry cloth.
The unit should be used as far as possible from
sources of magnetism and electromagnetism
(cell phones, microwave ovens, TVs, game
machines, etc.).
• If the unit is operated on top of or close to a TV,
the electromagnetism can cause distortion of
audio and video.
• Strong magnetism from speakers, large motors, etc. can
cause recordings to be lost and video to be distorted.
• Electromagnetic waves emitted from digital
circuits, including microcomputers, can impact
each other, causing distortion of audio and video.
• If the camera head is so adversely affected that it
does not operate normally, remove the recorder
battery and AC adaptor, reconnect them and turn
the power on again.
While the camera head and recorder are
connected, do not carry them by holding only
the camera head or cable.
• A strong load may be applied to the camera head
or cable, resulting in damage.

If insect sprays or other volatile substances are
being used in the area, take care that they do
not come in contact with the unit.
Do not point the lens at the sun.
• Doing so may damage the parts inside.
• These can warp the unit or cause the finish to
come off.
• Do not leave the unit in contact with rubber or
PVC products for extended periods of time.
Caution regarding laser beams
• The image sensor may be damaged if it is
subjected to light from a laser beam.
When using the unit in locations where laser
irradiation equipment is used, be careful not to
allow the laser beam to shine directly on the lens.
After use, turn off the power of the recorder,
and then remove the camera head option cable.
Cleaning
When cleaning, do not use benzene or thinner.
• Using benzine or paint thinners may deform the camera head and/or cause the surface finish to peel off.
• Before proceeding with maintenance, disconnect the camera head option cable from the camera head.
• Use a soft, clean cloth to wipe the camera head. To remove stubborn dirt, wipe the camera head with a
cloth moistened with kitchen detergent that has been diluted with water and then use a dry cloth to take
up the remaining moisture.

Connecting to the AG-HMR10 portable recorder

Be sure to turn off the power of the AG-HMR10 before connecting the camera head option cable.

■Shooting by hand
When holding the camera head by hand for shooting, make sure that your hand does not cover the air
inlet, air outlet or built-in microphone.

■Mounting on a tripod
Attach the tripod to the camera head’s tripod mounting hole.

• The tripod screw hole is 5.5 mm deep. Do not force the screw beyond this depth when attaching the
camera head to a tripod. You may damage the camera head if you use any screw other than 1/4-20UNC.

Beware of the following if fixing the camera head to something other than a tripod.
• Fix the camera head securely with vinyl tape or something similar to make sure that it does not wobble.
· Do not use tape that has a strong adhesive, because it may peel off the paint.
• Do not cover the camera head’s air inlet, air outlet or built-in microphone with the material that you use
for fixing the camera head.
• If you hold the camera head as shown in the examples below, the cable and connector will be
subjected to a large load and may be damaged.
Further, the cable may disconnect and the camera head may fall, or the camera head may hit a
surrounding object such as a wall, resulting in damage.

Troubleshooting
Starting up
Power does not come on.
• Make sure the camera head option cable is connected properly.
Refer to the connections on page E-9.
Unusual sound is heard.
• Some operating sounds may be evident when powering on, switching
operation modes and zooming. Sounds in such cases do not necessarily
indicate a problem.
Shooting
Cannot start shooting.
• Make sure the recorder’s operation mode is CAM mode.
With the recorder’s power off, connect the camera head option cable correctly,
and turn on the power. (Page E-9)
The CAM mode will not be established even when the camera head option
cable is connected while the recorder’s power is on.
Cannot focus automatically. • Make sure the camera is in auto focus mode, where you can focus automatically.
• You may be shooting a scene where it is difficult to bring the subject into focus
in the auto focus mode. If this is the case, focus in the manual focus mode.
It may be hard to bring the subject into focus when:
· both close and distant objects are to be shot
· shooting through a dirty window
· shooting in a dark place
· there are sparkling or shiny objects around the subject
· the subject is moving fast
· shooting a scene with minimal contrast

• Make sure the connection has been made to the recorder correctly. (Page E-9)

3. Leistungsniveau
Das Leistungsniveau des Geräts entspricht oder übersteigt das von diesen Standards verlangte Leistungsniveau.
Das Gerät kann aber durch Nutzung in einer EMV-Umgebung, wie Bereichen mit starken elektromagnetischen Feldern (durch
Sendemasten, Mobiltelefone etc.) störend beeinflusst werden. Um in diesen Situationen die störenden Einflüsse auf das Gerät
zu minimieren wird empfohlen, folgende Schritte für betroffene Geräte und Betriebsumgebungen durchzuführen.
1. Positionieren Sie das Gerät von der Störquelle entfernt.
2. Ändern Sie die Geräterichtung.
3. Ändern Sie die Anschlussmethode des Geräts.
4. Schließen Sie das Gerät an eine andere Stromverbindung, die mit keinen weiteren Geräten geteilt wird.

Vorsichtshinweise zum Betrieb
Der Kamerakopf erwärmt sich während des
Betriebs. Dies ist normal; es handelt es sich
dabei nicht um einen Defekt des Gerätes.
elektromagnetischen Wellen können sich
gegenseitig beeinflussen, so dass Bild- und
Klangverzerrungen bei diesem Gerät auftreten.
• Wenn der Kamerakopf so stark gestört wird, dass er
nicht mehr einwandfrei funktioniert, entfernen Sie den
Akku aus dem Recorder bzw. trennen Sie das Netzteil
von der Netzsteckdose, setzen Sie den Akku wieder
ein bzw. schließen Sie das Netzteil erneut an, und
schalten Sie den Recorder anschließend wieder ein.
Sorgen Sie bei Betrieb dieses Gerätes im Regen,
Schnee oder an einem Strand unbedingt dafür, dass
kein Wasser in das Geräteinnere eindringen kann.
• Eine Missachtung dieser Maßregel führt zu einer
Funktionsstörung des Gerätes (und kann einen
nicht behebbaren Schaden verursachen).
Vermeiden Sie möglichst einen Betrieb des
Gerätes in der Nähe von Rundfunksendern und
Hochspannungsleitungen.
• Bei Betrieb an derartigen Orten können Bild- und Ton durch
HF-Wellen und Hochspannung beeinträchtigt werden.
Sorgen Sie für einen möglichst großen
Abstand zwischen diesem Gerät und Quellen
von Magnetfeldern und elektromagnetischen

Tragen Sie den Recorder bei angeschlossenem

Kamerakopf oder Kamerakabel.
Schalten Sie den Recorder nach Ende des Betriebs aus, und
trennen Sie dann das Kamerakopf-Sonderzubehörkabel ab.
• Anderenfalls wird der Kamerakopf oder
das Kamerakabel einer starken Belastung
ausgesetzt, die eine Beschädigung zur Folge hat.
Richten Sie das Objektiv nicht direkt auf die Sonne.
• Anderenfalls können Bauteile im Inneren
beschädigt werden.
Falls Insektensprays oder andere
Vorsichtshinweis zu Laserstrahlen
leichtflüchtige Substanzen in der Nähe
verwendet werden, sorgen Sie dafür, dass

Achten Sie bei Verwendung dieses Gerätes an
einem Ort, an dem eine Laserstrahlung abgebende
Ausrüstung in Betrieb ist, sorgfältig darauf, dass
der Laserstrahl nicht direkt auf das Objektiv trifft.
Reinigung
Verwenden Sie auf keinen Fall Benzol oder Farbverdünner zur Reinigung.
• Petrolether und Farbverdünner können eine Verformung des Kamerakopfes verursachen und/oder ein
Abblättern des Oberflächenfinish verursachen.
• Trennen Sie vor der Reinigung unbedingt das Kamerakopf-Sonderzubehörkabel vom Kamerakopf ab.
• Verwenden ein weiches, sauberes Tuch zum Reinigen der Außenflächen des Kamerakopfes. Zum
Entfernen von hartnäckigen Schmutzflecken feuchten Sie ein Tuch mit einer Lösung aus Wasser und
einem neutralen Haushaltsreiniger an, wringen Sie das Tuch gründlich aus, wischen Sie den Schmutz
ab, und reiben Sie anschließend mit einem trockenen Tuch nach.

Kamerakopfes am Stativ nicht über diese Tiefe hinaus in das Gewinde. Bei Verwendung eines Stativs mit
einer Schraube, die eine andere Ausführung als 1/4-20UNC besitzt, kann der Kamerakopf beschädigt werden.

Wenn der Kamerakopf an einem anderen Gegenstand als einem Stativ befestigt werden soll, sind
die folgenden Hinweise zu beachten.
• Befestigen Sie den Kamerakopf sicher mit Vinylband oder einem ähnlichen Material, um ein Wackeln zu verhindern.
· Verwenden Sie kein Klebeband mit starker Haftwirkung, da der Klebstoff die Lackierung vom Kamerakopf abziehen kann.
• Achten Sie darauf, den Lufteinlass, den Luftauslass oder das eingebaute Mikrofon des Kamerakopfes
nicht mit dem zur Befestigung verwendeten Material zu verdecken.
• Wenn der Kamerakopf wie in den nachstehenden Abbildungen gehalten wird, werden Kabel und
Buchse einer starken Belastung ausgesetzt und können beschädigt werden.
Außerdem besteht die Gefahr, dass sich der Steckverbinder aus der Buchse löst und der Kamerakopf
herunterfällt, oder dass der Kamerakopf gegen einen Gegenstand in der Umgebung, z. B. eine Wand,
stößt, was eine Beschädigung zur Folge haben kann.

ne fonctionne plus normalement, débranchez,
puis rebranchez la batterie de l’enregistreur
ou l’adaptateur secteur, et remettez la tête de
caméra sous tension.
Ne laissez pas l’eau pénétrer dans l’appareil
lorsque vous l’utilisez sous la pluie ou la neige,
ou encore à la plage.
• Le non-respect de cette mise en garde entraînera
le dysfonctionnement de l’appareil (et pourrait
être à l’origine de dommages irréparables).

Nettoyer

• Avant de procéder à la maintenance, débranchez le câble de tête de caméra en option de la tête de caméra.
• Utilisez un chiffon doux et propre pour essuyer la tête de caméra. Pour ôter les saletés tenaces, passez
un chiffon imbibé de détergent à vaisselle dilué dans l’eau, sur la tête de caméra, puis essuyez avec un
chiffon sec pour enlever toute trace d’humidité.

Prenez garde aux points suivants si vous fixez la tête de caméra à tout autre support qu’un trépied.
• Fixez solidement la tête de caméra avec un ruban vinyle ou similaire pour vous assurer qu’elle est stable.
· Utilisez un ruban adhésif peu collant pour ne pas décoller la peinture.
• N’obstruez pas l’entrée d’air, la sortie d’air ou le microphone intégré de la tête de caméra avec le matériel
utilisé pour fixer la tête de caméra.
• Si vous tenez la tête de caméra tel qu’illustré dans les exemples ci-dessous, le câble et le connecteur

Démarrage
L’appareil ne se met pas

• Vérifiez que le câble de tête de caméra en option est correctement branché.
Reportez-vous aux raccordements en page F-8.
Un bruit anormal est
entendu.
• Certains bruits de fonctionnement peuvent être audibles à la mise sous
tension, lors du changement de modes de fonctionnement et en zoom. Ces
bruits n’indiquent pas nécessairement un problème.
Prise de vue
Impossible de démarrer la
prise de vue.
• Assurez-vous que le mode de fonctionnement de l’enregistreur est CAM.
Alors que l’enregistreur est éteint, raccordez correctement le câble en option
pour tête de caméra et mettez-le sous tension. (Page F-8) Le mode CAM n’est
pas sélectionné même lorsque le câble en option pour tête de caméra est
raccordé alors que l’enregistreur est allumé.
Mise au point automatique

• Assurez-vous que la caméra est en mode autofocus, lequel permet d’effectuer
automatiquement la mise au point.
• Il se peut que vous filmiez une scène où il est difficile d’effectuer la mise au point sur le
sujet en mode autofocus. Le cas échéant, passez en mode de mise au point manuelle.
La mise au point sur le sujet peut s’avérer difficile dans les cas suivants :
· vous essayez de filmer simultanément des objets proche et distant ;
· vous filmez à travers une fenêtre sale ;
· vous filmez dans un endroit sombre ;
· des objets étincelants ou brillants entourent le sujet ;
· le sujet se déplace rapidement ;
· vous filmez une scène faiblement contrastée.

3. Livello di prestazioni
Il livello di prestazioni dell’apparato è equivalente o superiore al livello di prestazioni richiesto da questi standard.
Tuttavia, l’apparato potrebbe essere disturbato da interferenze esterne qualora venga utilizzato in un ambiente EMC, come nel

Precauzioni per l’uso
La testa camera diventa calda durante l’uso.
Ciò non è un difetto.
• Se la testa camera ha subito un influsso tale da
non poter funzionare normalmente, rimuovere
la batteria del registratore o l’alimentatore c.a.,
ricollegarli e riaccendere.
Fare attenzione che l’acqua non penetri
all’interno dell’unità quando viene usata sotto
la pioggia, la neve o sulla spiaggia.
• La mancata osservanza di questa precauzione
può causare un malfunzionamento dell’unità (e
potrebbe causare un guasto irreparabile).
Evitare per quanto possibile di usare l’unità
vicino alle torri radio e alle linee dell’alta
tensione.
• Se la si usa vicino a tali luoghi, le onde radio e
l’alta tensione possono avere un effetto negativo
sull’audio e sul video registrati.
L’unità deve essere usata quanto più lontano
possibile dalle sorgenti di magnetismo e di
elettromagnetismo (cellulari, forni a microonde,
televisori, videogiochi, ecc.).
• Se si fa funzionare l’unità sopra o vicino a un
televisore, l’elettromagnetismo potrebbe causare
la distorsione audio e video.
• Il forte magnetismo dai diffusori, grandi
motori, ecc., potrebbe causare la perdita delle
registrazioni e la distorsione video.
Se si usa l’unità sulla spiaggia o in un qualsiasi
altro posto dove c’è sabbia o polvere, fare
attenzione che la sabbia e la polvere non
penetrino nell’unità o nei suoi terminali. Fare
attenzione che l’unità non si bagni con acqua
salata, ecc.
• La sabbia e la polvere possono danneggiare
l’unità.
• Le onde elettromagnetiche emesse dai circuiti
digitali, compresi i microprocessori, possono
avere una influenza reciproca causando la
distorsione audio e video.
• Se l’unità è venuta a contatto con l’acqua salata,
asciugarla con un panno strizzato bene e usare
poi un panno asciutto.

collegati, non devono essere trasportati tenendoli
soltanto per la testa camera o per il cavo.
• La testa camera o il cavo potrebbe subire una
forte sollecitazione che li danneggia.
Dopo l’uso, spegnere il registratore e
rimuovere poi il cavo testa camera opzionale.
Non puntare l’obiettivo sul sole.
• Ciò potrebbe danneggiare le parti interne.
Se nelle vicinanze si usano insetticidi spray o
altre sostanze volatili, fare attenzione che non
vengano a contatto con l’unità.
• Essi possono deformare l’unità o scrostare la
vernice di rifinitura.
Precauzione riguardo a raggi laser
• Si potrebbe danneggiare il sensore delle
immagini se viene esposto alla luce di un raggio
laser.
Se si utilizza l’unità in luoghi dove viene usato un
apparecchio di irradiazione laser, fare attenzione
che il raggio laser non colpisca direttamente
l’obiettivo.
• Non lasciare l’unità a contatto per lunghi periodi
di tempo con oggetti di gomma o prodotti PVC.
Pulizia
Per la pulizia, non usare benzolo o solventi.
• Il benzolo o i solventi per vernici potrebbero deformare la testa camera e/o scrostare la vernice di
rifinitura.
• Prima di procedere alla manutenzione, staccare il cavo testa camera opzionale dalla testa camera.
• Per pulire la testa camera, usare un panno morbido e pulito. Per togliere lo sporco ostinato, strofinare
la testa camera con un panno inumidito con un detersivo neutro diluito con acqua e usare poi un panno
asciutto per togliere ogni traccia di umidità.

1. Normas aplicables y ambiente de funcionamiento

3. Nivel de rendimiento

Precauciones para el funcionamiento
El cabezal de cámara se calienta durante su
uso. Esto no es ningún defecto.
• Si el cabezal de cámara está tan afectado
que no funciona normalmente, retire la batería
o el adaptador de CA del grabador, vuelva
a conectarlos y luego conecte de nuevo la
alimentación.
No permita que entre agua en la unidad cuando
la usa bajo la lluvia o la nieve o en una playa.
• Si no se presta atención a este aviso, la
unidad puede funcionar mal (y puede dañarse
irreparablemente).
Evite usar todo lo posible la unidad cerca de
torres de antenas de radio o líneas de alta

Cuidados relacionados con los rayos láser
• El sensor de imagen se puede dañar si se
expone a la luz de un rayo láser.
Cuando use la unidad en lugares donde se
emplean equipos que irradian rayos láser, tenga
cuidado para evitar que el rayo láser se dirija
directamente al objetivo.
• No deje la unidad en contacto con productos de
goma o cloruro de polivinilo durante mucho tiempo.
Limpieza
Cuando limpie, no use bencina ni diluyente.
• La bencina o los diluyentes de pintura pueden deformar el cabezal de cámara y/o hacer que se
desprenda el acabado.
• Antes de proseguir con el mantenimiento, desconecte el cable opcional para cabezal de cámara del
cabezal de cámara.
• Use un paño blando y limpio para limpiar el cabezal de cámara. Para quitar las manchas difíciles, limpie

使用上のご注意
使用中は本体が温かくなりますが、異
常ではありません。
浜辺や砂などほこりの多いところで使うときは、
内部や端子部に砂やほこりが入らないようにして
ください。
また海水などでぬらさないでください。
• 砂やほこりで本機が破損することがあります。
• 万一海水がかかったときは、よく絞った布でふ
き、そのあと乾いた布でふいてください。
雨天、降雪中、海岸などで使う時は、本機に水が
入らないようご注意ください。
• 本機の故障につながります。（修理できなくなる

磁気が発生するところや電磁波が発生するところ
