IMPORTANNT SAFEGUARDS
1. Read Instructions - All the safety and operating
instruction should beread before theproduct is
operated.

products intended tooperate from batterypower,

instruction.

15. Outdoor Antenna Grounding - If an outside antenna
is connected to the receiver, be sure the antenna
system is grounded so as to provide some protection
against voltage surges and built- up staticcharges.
Article 810 ofthe National ElectricalCode,
ANSI/NFPA 70, provides information with regard
to proper grounding of the mast and supporting
structure, grounding of the mast and supporting
structure, grounding ofthe lead -in wire toan
antenna - discharge unit, size of grounding
conductors, location of antenna - discharge unit,
connection to groundingelectrodes, and requirements
for the groundingelectrode.
20. Servicing - Do not attempt to service this product
yourself as opening or removing covers may expose
you to dangerous voltage or other hazards. Refer all
servicing to qualified service personnel.
21. Damage Requiring Service - Unplug this product
from the wall outlet and refer servicing to qualified
service personnel under the following conditions:
a) When the power- supply cord or plug is
damaged.
b) If liquid has been spilled, or objects have fallen
into the product.
c) If the product has been exposed to rain or water.
d) If the product does not operate normally by
following the operating instructions. Adjust
only those controls that are covered by the
operating instructions as an improper
adjustment of other controls may result in
damage and will often require extensive work
by a qualified technician to restore the product
to its normal operation.

22. Replacement parts - When replacement parts are

part. Unauthorized substitutions may result in fire,

Do not use this unit near water.
Do not allow anything to dropinto the subwoofer case through itsventilator, as it couldresult
in fatal electric shock or fire.
Place the unit far enough from other equipments for good heat dissipation.
Place the unit on a stable surface and out of reachof children to avoid damage to the unit or the
risk of injury to people.
5. Maintenance
To avoid shock hazard or damage to the unit, do notattempt to remove the cover or the rear panel.
All servicing should be referred to qualified service personnel.

1. Connect the FR speaker to the OUTPUT-FRONT(R) spring tags of the subwoofer -- the striped
wire to the red positive terminal and the NON-STRIPED wire to the BLACK negative terminal.
2. Connect the FL speaker to the OUTPUT-FRONT(L) spring tags of the subwoofer -- the striped
wire to the red positive terminal and the NON-STRIPED wire to the BLACK negative terminal.
3. Connectthe SR speaker tothe OUTPUT-SURROUND(R)spring tags ofthe subwoofer -- the striped
wire to the red positive terminal and the NON-STRIPED wire to the BLACK negative terminal.
4. Connectthe SL speaker to the OUTPUT-SURROUND(L)spring tags of the subwoofer -- the striped
wire to the red positive terminal and the NON-STRIPED wire to the BLACK negative terminal.
5. Connect the CEN speaker to the OUTPUT-CEN spring tags of the subwoofer -- the striped wire
to the red positive terminal and the NON-STRIPED wire to the BLACK negative terminal.

The AC-3 (5.1) INPUT 1 connectors on the subwoofer are used for connecting a 5.1 channel device with
separate front,
surround,centre and subwoofer outputs such as a DVD player.
The AC-3 (5.1) INPUT 2 connector on the subwoofer is used for connecting a 5.1 channel device with its
output on a 9-pin DIN connector such as a computer soundcard.
The three input connections marked as 2-CH INPUT are used for connecting up to three 2-channel (stereo)
devices, such as a TV, digital set-top box,CD player, radio tuner, tape player or any audio device offering a
LINE-OUT audio connection.

OPERATION
1. Press down the tip of the POWER rocker switchwith a white "1" on the backof the subwoofer to
turn on the system. The system is then set in STAND-BY mode and the indicator light on the
MASTER VOL. knobon thefront panel will turn red .
2 . P r e s s t h e POWER button on the remote control or the STAND-BY button on the front panel
of the subwoofer once, and the system will switch to OPERATING mode and the indicator light
on the
MASTER VOL. will turn green.
3. Press the AC-3, TV, TAPE or the CD/VCD/DVD(2-CH) button to choose the right source of audio
input mode, and its corresponding indicator light will turn green.
4. Rotate the following knobs on the front panel of the subwoofer clockwise to a suitable listening
level:
a) CENTER
b) WOOFER
c) SURROUND
d) MASTER VOL.
Or, press the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons on the remote control to adjust
the volume level of the system:
a)pressthe VOLUMEUP button, andtheMASTERVOL. knobonthe front panelofthesubwoofer
will turn clockwise and the volume level of the system will be increased.
b)pressthe VOLUME DOWN button, and the MASTER VOL. knob on the front panel of the sub-
woofer will turn counterclockwise and the volume level of the systemwill be decreased.
5. Press the MUTE button on the remote control once to turn off the volume of the system, and the
mute indicator light on the front panel of the subwoofer will turn green, To turn on the volume of
the system, pressthe MUTE button again and the mute indicator light will turn off.
* It is recommendedthat the POWER rocker switch on the back of the subwoofer be turned off and
that the AC power cord be unplugged from the supply when the system is left unused for a long
period of time.

IMPORTANT NOTES

Make sure that the power supply is correct and never handle the power cord or its plug with wet
hands when plugging into, or unplugging from, an outlet.
Ensure that the main power switch is in the "OFF" position before connectingthe AC power cord
to the power supply to avoid damage to the system.
A damaged power cord can easily cause an electric shock or fire hazard. Never use a power cord
after it has been damaged.
