NOTE/CAUTION: The keyboard can also operate with rechargeable
batteries, but mixing the two types — that is, using one standard battery
and one rechargeable battery at the same time — can result in a battery
explosion.

1. Connect the USB receiver (below) to a USB port on the computer.
The LED on the receiver will light automatically.
2. Press and release the Setup
button on the receiver to turn
off the LED.
3. Press the Connect button on
the underside of the keyboard (shown

This keyboard has a built-in optical trackball that works as a mouse for
moving the screen cursor. It also features cursor left and right keys (as
shown below), plus 18 hotkeys (shown on Page 5) for direct Internet
and Windows Media Player access.

key to activate the
numerical keypad
function. Press the key
again to return to letter
input.
Sleep mode
To reduce power consumption,
this keyboard will enter into Sleep
mode automatically after two
minutes of non-use. The trackball LED will go off and the cursor will
temporarily remain stationary. Sleep mode of the optical trackball does
not affect the input functions of other standard keys. Press and release
the trackball to wake up from the sleep mode and to recover the
trackball function.
