What is Inverter Direct Drive Technology?

When doing laundry, you might have seen that the inner drum always tumbles in a monotonous motion no matter what

the fabric type is. Don’t you think that your washing machine should adopt a different movement for each fabric type?

Well, that’s why people prefer hand washing for certain types of fabric. Our range of washing machines with 6 Motion

Technology understands your clothes like you do, and offers a different wash for different clothes.

LG Inverter Direct Drive is a unique technology that’ll become the talk of the town, for its silence. In this, the

motor is attached directly to the drum, thus eliminating the belt and the pulley. This smoothens the engine

and the drum movement, causing less vibration and less frictional noise. This silent but steady technology,

delivers power directly to the drum, ensuring a quieter and more efﬁcient wash. Also, it does not require a

belt replacement from time to time.

LG’s innovative Steam Washer Dryer uses heat and motion energy of water vapours to deliver the most hygienic and effective wash.

Combined with Inverter Direct Drive technology, it becomes the most powerful yet peaceful machine for your laundry.

Why steam?

How is steam generated?

Easily transmits heat and humidity due to its minute scale

and mobility.

Easily removes odour particles due to its strong absorption force.

Easily reduces static electricity in clothes due to steam’s

nature of having negative(-) ions.

Easily relaxes the bonding force between cloth ﬁbres and

stains due to the swelling effect of each ﬁbre.

Water converts into steam under increased temperature

conditions. It takes the form of warm vapour that has more heat

and motion energy than water. Therefore, the use of steam in

washing makes all the difference. The hot vapour envelopes the

clothes, resulting in an effective and a thorough wash.

The cubic volume of steam vapour at 100°C is 1600 times more

than that of liquid at 25°C. Such an increase in energy leads to

effective washing.

The bonding force (hydrogen

The Steam Generator that converts water into steam takes

washing technology a step further. Since the water is heated

directly, it uses less water and energy to create steam than it

does to boil the water at the bottom of the drum. So now you

The LG Steam Washer Dryer refreshes your clothes in just

20 minutes.

The unique optimum steam temperature and rinsing function enables the Steam Washer Dryer to remove major allergens effectively.

House dust mites, pet fur and pollen found on clothes are eradicated while washing. What you get are thoroughly disinfected clothes

that stop any form of allergy.

The steam smoothens out the creases and wrinkles and with its

penetrating power removes bad odour too. It also leaves your

clothes feeling refreshed. It is ideal for clothes like business shirts

that may not be dirty at the end of the day but may have creases

and a musky smell.

Dual Spray System

The Dual Spray System reduces water and energy consumption. It uses less water to wash

the laundry. It also sprays both water and steam continuously onto the clothes throughout

the wash cycle, improving the washing performance.

Certiﬁcation

Tub Clean

Constant use of a washing machine results in the development of fungus and toxic substances in the tub. However, the Tub Clean

function in a Steam Washer Dryer uses hot steam with high spin speed to sterilize every corner of the tub. The tub remains disinfected

and so do the clothes.

Warm Water Rinse

Only LG Front Loading Washing Machines have a Warm Water

Rinse function, which minimises the chances of detergent

remaining in the tub at the end of every wash cycle. It greatly

reduces the chances of allergy.

Sterilization

The temperature in the drum of the Steam Washer Dryer goes up

to 100°C during every wash. It can effectively kill bacteria such as

Staphylococcus and Coliform, which can cause diarrhoea and at

times, even lead to food poisoning.

The RPM is not fast enough.

The tub is cleaned with water at 85^oC, sterilizing
