ꢀ Danger of electrical shock
• Make sure that the base with the
electrical connections does not come
into contact with water! Let the base
dry completely before using, should it
ever accidentally become wet.
Intended Use
• This appliance is not for commercial
or outdoor use.
• The electric water kettle is exclusively
suitable for heating water and may
not be used for heating other liquids.
• Make sure that the power cord never
becomes wet or damp during opera-
tion. Lay the cord such that it cannot
be pinched or otherwise damaged.
Allow only customer service to replace
damaged power cords or power
plugs, before using the appliance
again (see "Warranty & Service“).
• Always pull the plug out of the power
socket after use. Switching off the
device is not sufficient because the
device receives power as long as the
power plug is connected to the socket.
• Use the appliance only if the local
mains voltage complies with the rated
voltage of the appliance

lid, otherwise the automatic cut out
may not work. Boiling water can then
spray out over the edge.

• Hot vapours may leak out and the
electric water kettle may be very hot
while in operation. It is always best to
wear oven mitts when handling the
kettle.
• Make sure that the appliance is
placed on a stable and vertical base,
before you switch on the appliance.
Boiling water can cause an unstabile
kettle to fall over.

• Do not leave a heat generating
appliance unsupervised!
Operation
• Do not allow children and elderly
persons handle the appliance
unsupervised as they may not always
be able to rightly estimate the
possible risks.
1. Pull the power cord out only as much
as is necessary. Pull it out by opening
the base station ᕧ and connect the
plugs with an appropriate power
socket.
2. Open the lid and fill in with the
desired quantity of water. Please note
the level indicator ᕥ of the appliance.

- atleast up to the MIN mark, so as not
to overheat the electric water kettle.

that no boiling water spills out.
3. Close the lid and place the appliance
on the base station ᕧ. The appliance
can only be switched on if it is fixed
to the base station.
You can thus prevent the appliance
from being damaged
• Use the kettle º only in the base
station provided for the same ᕧ.
Do not use the base station ᕧ for
any other purposes.
• Do not expose the base station ᕧ
to any liquids and protect it from
splashes.
• Do not separate the kettle º from
the base station ᕧ while the appliance
is in operation. Always switch off the
appliance first.
4. Keep the On/Off switch ᕤ on

switches off automatically. The On/Off

However, you can continue the boiling
process by waiting for 20 seconds until
the heating element has cooled off.
You can then switch on the appliance
once again.
Before the First Use
1. Remove all the packaging material!
2. Clean the kettle º, by pouring water
into it and bringing it to a boil (See
"Boiling water“). Pour out the water
and repeat the process.

During the cooling phase, do not
press the on/off switch ᕤ, as this
can damage the appliance.

Cleaning
ꢀ Please follow the safety instructions
as well.
Always unplug the power cord from
the socket, before cleaning the base
station ᕧ. Allow the kettle º to cool
down completely.
• Clean the outer side of the kettle and
the base station with a soft, damp
cloth. Do not use any abrasive
materials.
• Decalcify the appliance at regular
intervals. For this use a decalcifying
agent available with specialised
dealers.
