| BatteryChargers   AA RECHARGER   POWERCHARGER   Quick Start Guide   Model # PP2020/PP2010   04-13   HOW THE BATTERYCHARGERS WORK   The PowerCharger (PP2020) with internal power source (Lith-Ion battery) and   the AA Recharger (PP2010) with removable power source (AA NiMh batteries)   store electrical energy, so it can be used to recharge your portable electronic   devices whenever you’re away from your home or campsite. Press the orange   lid latch button on the side of the battery charger to access the Input and   Output ports as shown below.   OUTPUT-Used for charging your device(s)   from the BatteryCharger’s internal battery   (once charged via AC wall charger)   INPUT-Used for charging the BatteryCharger’s   internal battery from wall charger.   FROM WALL CHARGER   USB PORT   FROM BatteryCharger   (standard USB plug)   OUTPUT PORT   (standard USB plug)   TO BatteryCharger   INPUT PORT   TO PORTABLE DEVICE   (micro USB plug)   CHARGING PORT*   (micro USB plug)   OUTPUTS   * Use USB charging cable included with your   device if this connector is not compatible.   PP2020   PP2010   Field Light INPUT   OUTPUT   Lid Latch   Button   INPUT   Field Light   2 CHARGING THE BATTERYCHARGER FROM THE WALL CHARGER   1. If your device uses a non-standard type of connector, use the   cable that came with it to connect to the BatteryCharger’s OUTPUT port.   Check the charge indicator on your device to determine when it’s ready   to use. The NiMh AA batteries inside the PP2010 may also be removed and   used to power any device that operates on AA batteries (unless the use of   rechargeable batteries is not recommended).   STORING & TRANSPORTING THE BATTERYCHARGER   Close the top lid when storing or transporting the BatteryCharger, to help   keep dirt and debris out of the USB ports.   PowerSync   Power Gauge   C NiMh AA Battery Pod   B (PP2010 only)   Power   Button   Battery Pod Grip   A WARNING: INSERT ONLY NiMh AA   BATTERIES IN THE PP2010. While the battery is   charging from the AC wall charger, the LEDs will light up in sequence to show   the charge level as shown in Fig. 1. The LED indicating the current battery   level will blink rapidly while charging. When charging is complete, all LEDs   remain on for 10 min., then shut off until the Power button is pressed.   Blinking   Fig. 1   Charging In   from AC   >25%   >50%   >75%   >90%   FULL   While the BatteryCharger is charging your connected device (Power button   must be pressed), the LEDs will monitor the BatteryCharger’s battery level as   shown in Fig. 2, with a single LED blinking once every 15 sec. (shows active   charging but conserves battery power).   Slowly Blinking   Fig. 2   Charging Out   to Device   <25%   <50%   <75%   <90%   FULL   You can also check the current level of the BatteryCharger’s battery charge   anytime by pressing the Power button, even when it is not connected to the   charger or an external device. The LEDs will glow steadily to indicate the   charge level % as shown in Fig.3. , then shut off after 10 seconds.   Blinking   Fig. 3   Checking   Charge Level   <25%   >25%   >50%   >75%   FULL   The Field Light will glow during charging.
