GET READY TO START
Before assembly, use scissors to unwrap the parts from the packaging. DO NOT use a box cutter or
exacto-knife as you may cut into the mantel pieces inside the box and damage the finish. Check for the
hardware bag which is red and located inside the packaging taped to the top box. Be sure you DO
NOT discard any pieces.
Step 1
Locate the hearth and place it on the floor. Do not put it up
against the wall at this point in the assembly as you need
to get in behind the mantel to insert several screws.
Step 2
Locate the left and right bottom plates. Standing in front
of the hearth, place them with the finished side up on
the left and right sides of the left and right side storage compartments.
Step 3
Locate the left inside and left outside wall panels, the back
panel and the top panel for the left wine bottle storage compartment.
Position both the inside and outside wall panels, position the back
panel (finished side inside the compartment) by inserting the panel in
the groove of one side, then squeezing the sides together ensuring
that the back panel stays in position within the grooves of both side
panels. Get your helper to hold the panels snuggly in place while
you insert the 6 screws which will hold the sides and back in position.

Step 4
Locate the left side top panel (this part has the 5 holes in it for the wine glass storage rack) and the
wine glass storage rack. Position the left side top panel face up and attach the rack by inserting and
tightening the 5 screws….....remember to use the smaller screws to attach the storage rack.
Once you have installed the silver colored wine glass storage rack you can take the top back to the
mantel and position the top panel on the sides and back. Have your helper apply pressure to hold the
top panel in position while you insert and tighten all 6 screws. Enough pressure must be applied to
avoid gaps between the top and the side panels.
Step 5
Locate the red wine bottle storage shelves. These 2 pieces have a channel cut partway through each
one. Choose the two best faces and place them facing up. Line up the channels so that you can insert
one piece onto the other piece forming an X
Once you have formed the X, insert the X into the left storage compartment and ensure the X is inserted
completely into the opening so there is no interference with the door.

Step 6
Locate the right inside and outside wall panels for the right wine cooler
storage compartment. Place them around the bottom panel (already in
place) on the hearth. Get your helper to hold these pieces in place
while you insert and tighten the 6 bottom screws. Position the top panel
in place. Get your helper to apply pressure to the side to eliminate any
gaps while you insert and tighten the top 6 screws.
Step 7
Take your electric firebox out of its packaging and position
it between the 2 storage compartments. Ensure the plug is
at the back of your mantel, ready to be plugged in before
you position your mantel in place up against the wall. The
firebox does not get attached to the mantel in any way ….
it just sits there.
If you have any questions about the firebox please reference
the installation instructions that come with the unit. Please
reference the Quick Tips section of that instruction manual.
Step 8
Locate the header piece that will be attached to the left and right storage compartments and will sit
above the firebox. Position the header with the finished side facing the front of the mantel. Insert and
tighten the 4 screws which will hold the header in place.
CAUTION
DO NOT USE AN ELECTRIC DRILL TO INSERT
THESE SCREWS. A POWER DRILL CAN DRIVE
THE SCREWS THROUGH THE FACE OF THIS
PANEL THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN WITH A
MANUAL SCREW DRIVER. BE CAREFUL.

Step 9
Take the wine cooler out of its packaging and position it in the right side storage compartment. Ensure
the plug is at the back of your mantel, ready to be plugged in before you position your mantel in place
up against the wall. Ensure the feet of the wine cooler are positioned in the holes for the feet on the
bottom panel of the storage compartment. This positioning will prevent the wine cooler door from
interfering with the storage compartment door
If you have any questions about the wine cooler please reference the installation instructions that come
with the unit. Please reference the Quick Tips section of that instruction manual.
Step 10
You are now ready to install the doors on the right and left side storage compartments. Locate the left
door. The hinge bracket for this door is already attached to the hinge located inside the left compart-
ment (it came installed). Get your helper to hold the door in position while you insert and tighten the 2
screws in each of the hinges. Repeat for the right side door. You can level the doors by releasing or
tightening the tension on the leveling screw on each hinge (see picture for location) and realigning the
door so it is level from the front.

Step 11
Get your helper and locate the top of your mantel. This top is very heavy. It will take 2 people to lift and
position it in place. Ensure the top goes over the positioning guide located on the header. The top must
go over this guide to be positioned correctly. Once the top is in place insert and tighten the 9 screws.
Step 12
You are now ready to position your mantel against the wall. This step requires 2 people to move the
unit. Once you are close to the wall, plug in the firebox and the wine cooler into the outlet.
Anti-tipping device
At this point you must attach the anti-dipping device to your mantel and your wall. This device is a
safety feature that will prevent your mantel from tipping over if a weight is applied which can
unbalance the unit (like a child climbing onto it)
Once you have the 2 appliances plugged in, push your mantel up against the wall and enjoy
your fireplace and a glass of wine!
