In stall an d set up software on your com puter
Charging the battery
Fully ch arge th e battery for th ree h ours before usin g your jukebox for th e
first tim e. However, it is n ot n ecessary to fully ch arge th e battery each tim e.
You can ch arge th e battery by con n ectin g th e jukebox eith er to th e
AC power adapter (fastest) or to a USB port on th e com puter.
Th e battery icon in th e upper righ t corn er of th e screen in dicates th e

your jukebox off. If your jukebox is on , it can n ot ch arge from th e
com puter’s USB cable.
If you are charging your jukebox from the AC power adapter,
you can leave your jukebox on as it charges, but it will take

Using the playback buttons
Durin g playback, use th e playback con trol button s to skip to th e n ext track,
skip to a previous track, or pause th e playback or slidesh ow. Holdin g down
th e previous track or n ext track button s acts as rewin d an d fast forward,
respectively.

If the jukebox does not respond when you press a button, it
may be pausing for several seconds while loading the next file.
If the jukebox does not respond after waiting for several
seconds, press the reset button. For the location of the reset

Disabling expired music messages
If you use a m usic service wh ere m usic can be played for a lim ited am oun t
of tim e (such as Napster To Go), th e m usic will even tually becom e disabled
on your jukebox. Wh en you try to play a disabled track on your jukebox,
you get th e m essage “To play th is track, you m ust syn c your device to
your PC.”
Alth ough re-syn cin g with your com puter will quickly en able you to access
th e track again , you m ay wan t to disable th e expiration warn in g m essage
if it is too distractin g.

Installing the software
To copy m usic an d digital ph oto files to your jukebox from your com puter,
you m ust first in stall Win dows Media Player 10 on your com puter.
Even if you already have Windows Media Player 10 installed
on your computer, you may want to install the version on the

jukebox installation CD because it contains the Napster To Go
plugin and the jukebox’s firmware update utility.

Before you con n ect your jukebox to your com puter, you sh ould h ave som e

To create digital m usic files, you n eed to eith er copy (rip) th em from
a CD or buy th em from an on lin e digital m usic service, such as

Synchronizing your jukebox with your computer
Preparing files for synchronizing
Before you m ove your files to your jukebox, you sh ould set th em up in
Media Player so th ey can be autom atically synced with (copied to) your
jukebox th e n ext tim e you con n ect it to your com puter. Man ual syn cin g
on ly syn ch ron izes your jukebox with your com puter wh en you tell it to.

tim e you con n ect your jukebox. To syn c playlists th at were created in

Player, th e jukebox will n ot recogn ize th e m usic. To tran sfer m usic to your
jukebox, you m ust use Win dows Media Player.
When I try to play a song, I get the message “To play this track,
you must sync your device to your PC.”
If you use a m usic service wh ere m usic can be played for a lim ited am oun t
of tim e (such as Napster To Go), th e m usic will even tually “expire” on your
jukebox. Re-syn c with your com puter to access th e track again . For m ore

Replacing the battery
For exten ded listen in g tim e with out rech argin g, you can in stall a spare
battery. With an extra battery or two, you can in crease th e jukebox play
tim e from 8-10 h ours to 16-20 or 24-30 h ours. To buy addition al batteries,

GATEWAY LIMITED WARRANTY AGREEMENT

products an d services purch ased by you from Gateway, In c.

Gateway-auth orized reseller (“Reseller”), un less you en ter

en d user Gateway will assist you with (i) in stallation of an y
n etwork operatin g system (“NOS”) purch ased from
Gateway; (ii) con figuration of th e NOS software so th at it
works with th e n etworked Gateway com puters you
purch ased; (iii) setup of th e NOS software so th at it is fully
in tegrated with oth er products you purch ased from
Gateway; an d (iv) troublesh ootin g issues associated with th e
NOS software an d assistan ce with NOS error m essages.
Gateway provides tech n ical support via on -lin e, teleph on e,
an d oth er m eth ods. Gateway m ay ch an ge th e m ean s
th rough wh ich it provides tech n ical support at an y tim e.
Gateway does n ot guaran tee th at software will be free from
errors, eith er in isolation or in com bin ation with h ardware.

2. Product Lim ited Warran ty. Gateway warran ts th at its
products will be free from defects in m aterials an d
workm an sh ip for n in ety (90) days from th e date of purch ase
by th e origin al en d user. Durin g th e warran ty period,
Gateway will, at its option : (1) provide replacem en t parts
n ecessary to repair th e product, (2) repair th e product or
replace it with a com parable product, or (3) refun d th e
am oun t you paid for th e product, LESS DEPRECIATION,
upon its return . You m ust assist Gateway in diagn osin g
issues with your product an d follow Gateway’s warran ty
processes. You m ust obtain warran ty service from Gateway.
Gateway will n ot reim burse you for service perform ed by
oth ers. You m ay be required to deliver your product to an d
from an auth orized service facility at your expen se.
Replacem en t parts an d products will be n ew or serviceably
used, com parable in fun ction an d perform an ce to th e
origin al part, an d warran ted for th e rem ain der of th e
origin al warran ty period or, if lon ger, 90 days after th ey are
sh ipped to you. If Gateway asks you to return defective parts
