This charger is only for use with 12-volt vehicles
with a Type "A" power system or a Type "H"
power system equipped with connector covers. If
the connector on your batteries do not look like
either of the connectors pictured here, do use this
charger. Call Power Wheels® Consumer Affairs at
1-800-348-0751 for further information.

Battery charging must be done by an adult.

with your vehicle, or call Power Wheels Consumer Affairs toll-free at

This charger is for use with Power Wheels® Type "A" and Type "H"
12-volt vehicles which require two 6-volt batteries for operation.
Use the enclosed Wire Harness Converter with Type "H" vehicles only.
Do not use any charger other than the type specified for use with your
vehicle's power system. Refer to the Owner's Manual which came with
your vehicle to determine which type of charger you should use, or call Power
Wheels® Consumer Affairs.

Battery Charging

Do not charge the batteries
Use with Type "H" Vehicles
With Connector Covers
on a surface which could be dam-
aged by the acid contained inside
the batteries. Take precautions to
protect the surface on which you
charge your batteries.
The batteries must be upright while
charging. You do not need to remove
the batteries from your vehicle to
charge them.
If your battery connector looks like
the one pictured above, you have a
Type "H" vehicle with connector cov-
ers and must use the enclosed Wire
Harness Converter with this charger.

If your batteries are already
installed in your vehicle, unplug
the vehicle's motor harness and
battery connectors.
•
Remove the connector cover from
your old charger and reassemble
it on the H-style end of the
enclosed Wire Harness Converter.
Plug the end of the Wire Harness

to your battery connector. The
A-Style end of the Wire Harness
Converter will plug into the
A-Style connector on your

To charge the batteries, plug
the charger connector and battery
connector together. Push firmly to
make sure the two connectors are
completely joined.
Note: Make sure the two battery con-
nectors are stacked.

Plug the charger into a standard 120
volt wall outlet. (If power flow to the
wall outlet is controlled by a switch,
make sure the switch is ON.)
Important Notes
•
Before charging the batteries, exam-
ine the battery cases for cracks and
other damage which may cause
sulfuric acid (electrolyte) to leak dur-
ing the charging process. If damage
is detected, do not charge the bat-
teries or use them in your vehicle.
Battery acid is very corrosive and
can cause severe damage to sur-
faces it contacts.

Charge new batteries at least 18
hours before first use. Recharge
the batteries at least 14 hours
after each use. The charger may
become warm to the touch while

Limited Warranty
For the original purchaser, this one year
limited warranty covers the Power
Wheels® Double Battery 12-Volt
Charger (purchased from Power
Wheels®) against defects in materials
and workmanship.

"sizzling" or "bubbling" noise and
swell slightly. These are normal con-
ditions and do not indicate a problem.
IMPORTANT! Never charge
the batteries longer than 30 hours.
Overcharging or undercharging
the batteries can shorten battery
life and decrease vehicle
This warranty covers normal use and
does not cover the Power Wheels®
Double Battery 12-Volt Charger if dam-
aged by unreasonable use, neglect,
accident, abuse, misuse, improper ser-
vice or other causes not arising out of
defects in materials or workmanship.
Evidence at any attempt at consumer
repair will void this warranty. This war-
ranty does not cover, and is intended to
exclude, any liability on the part of
Power Wheels®, whether under this
warranty or implied by law for any indi-
rect or consequential damages or
breach of warranty. Some states do not
allow the exclusion or limitation so this
limitation may not apply to you.

After charging, unplug the charger
from the wall outlet.

Unplug the charger connector from
the battery connector. Your batter-
ies are now charged and are ready
to be installed in your vehicle.
Please refer to your vehicle's
Owner's Manual for Battery
Installation instructions. If your bat-
teries are already installed in your
vehicle, plug the vehicle's motor
harness connector and battery con-
nector together and secure the bat-
tery compartment.
This warranty gives you specific
legal rights and you may also have
other rights which may vary from state
to state.
