For best results read the instructions below.
VOLUME CONTROL
Turning the Volume Adjusting Knob (located on the lower left)
clockwise turns up the volume; counterclockwise turns down the
volume. Always turn down the volume before using earphones.
TURNING THE FR360 ON/OFF
The FR360 is powered with 3 AAA batteries, the Dynamo and
Solar cell (DYN/SOL) and the AC adapter (not included).
To turn the radio on, select DYN/SOL or BATT (upper right, next
to the LCD) and then press POWER.
Note: the radio can be played while it’s charging.
BATTERY POWER
Install 3 AAA batteries and set the power selector switch to the
BATT position.
SOLAR POWER
When you’re in direct sunlight set the power switch to the DYN/
SOLAR position.This position also recharges the Ni-MH recharge-
able battery.
DYNAMO POWER
The rechargeable Ni-MH (nickel-metal-hydride) battery is in the
battery compartment. To use it plug the battery into the socket

adjacent to it, then set the power switch to the DYN/SOL posi-
tion. You may have to charge the battery; to do this turn the
crank for 90 seconds. The rechargeable battery will eventually
lose its ability to hold a charge. Call Eton Corporation to order
another one.
DC-IN 6V AC ADAPTER (not included)
This is the first socket to the left on the back of the radio, under
the rubber plugs. Plug in the AC adapter (6 Volt, positive polarity,
300 milliampere, not included) to the DC IN 6 volt socket. This
also charges the Ni-MH battery. In the United States, an AC
adapter can be purchased by calling 1-800-872-2228, 8 am -
4:30 pm, Pacific Time.
ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS REGARDING CHARG-
ING
• How much operating time does 90 seconds of hand cranking
provide for the radio to play? About 15 minutes.
• How long does it take to fully charge the radio’s battery with
the AC adapter? About 6 hours.
• How long will the radio play when charged with the AC
adapter? About 10hrs.
• How long does it take to fully charge the radio’s battery with
the solar panel? About 10 hrs in direct sunlight.
CHARGING CELL PHONES
Press the button labeled CELL. Plug the USB cell phone charging
cord into the USB PHONE CHARGER jack, the second socket
from the left at the rear of the radio. Plug the other end of the
cord into the cell phone charging tip and then into the jack of
the cell phone. About 3 minutes of cranking results in one short
emergency call. To purchase a charging tip and cord for your
PS00271-0001.
NOTE: When charging a cell phone via the USB cell phone
charger, it is important to turn the crank at least 2 revolutions
per second, or until you see the green or orange LED above the
crank handle turn on. This is an indication that the phone is re-

ceiving enough power from the radio. Continue to crank at this
rate until you are satisfied that an appropriate level of charge has
been received by your cell phone. If you decide to stop cranking
for whatever reason, please wait at least 5 seconds before begin-
ning to crank again. Not following these instructions may cause
damage to your cell phone for which Eton disclaims any liability
and will not be held liable for any actual or consequential dam-
ages related to this matter.
THE LIGHT ABOVE THE CRANK
A red light means radio is on. A green light means that there is
sufficient crank speed to enable a charge.
LCD BACKLIGHT
Press the DISP button to turn on the backlight for the LCD and
the buttons above the LCD. It automatically shuts off after about
5 seconds.
SELECTING BANDS AND TUNING IN STATIONS
The FR360 plays AM (520-1710 KHz), FM (87.5-108 MHz) and 7
NOAA Weather Channels:
Turn the radio on. Select AM, FM or WB1-WB7 with the knob
above the TUNE button (right side of the radio).
When listening to FM and Weather channels, pull up the
telescopic antenna all the way. When tuning AM stations the
telescopic antenna is not needed and can be lowered. Tune in
stations by revolving the TUNE knob (right side of the radio).
The weather frequencies are on channels WB1 through WB7. Try
all of them and find the one that’s strongest; the strongest one is
your weather station. The frequencies associated with them are:
WB1; Channel 1 162.400 MHz
WB2; Channel 2 162.425 MHz
WB3; Channel 3 162.450 MHz
WB4; Channel 4 162.475 MHz
WB5; Channel 5 162.500 MHz
WB6; Channel 6 162.525 MHz
WB7; Channel 7 162.550 MHz

THE NOAA ALERT FEATURE
After you have tuned in your local Weather channel, the radio
can be set to the ALERT function, by pressing the ALERT button
(far right above the LCD). This function turns off the radio, but
continues to monitor the NOAA frequency. If an alert is broad-
cast, it turns back on, enabling you to hear the alert broadcast.
To turn ALERT off, press ALERT again; ALERT disappears from
the display.
NOTE: while ALERT is selected, no other stations can be tuned
in or received.
NOAA false alert note: False NOAA alerts may occur at
various times of day as the result of circumstances beyond the
control of the manufacturer of this receiver. If you receive such
alerts, we suggest that you turn the ALERT feature off.
SETTING THE TIME AND ALARM
The clock is a 12/24-hour clock, as a 12-hour clock showing PM
in the display starting at Noon.
To change from 12 to 24 hour time or vice versa:
1. With the radio turned off, do three short presses of the
SET button.
2. 12 or 24 appears in the display.
3. Press the MIN/UP or HOUR/DOWN buttons to change it.
4. Press SET to finalize it.
To set the time:
1. With the radio turned off, do a short press on the SET button.
2. While the hour flashes press the HR/UP or MIN/DOWN button
to set the hour.
3. Press SET again.
4. While the minute flashes press the HR/UP or MIN/DOWN but-
ton to set the minutes.
5. Press SET to finalize
To set the alarm:
1. With the radio turned off, press the ALARM button and then
the SET button.
2. ALARM appears on the left of the LCD and the hour flashes.
3. Press HR/UP or MIN/DOWN button to set the alarm hour.

4. Press SET again.
5. While the minute flashes press the HR/UP or MIN/DOWN but-
ton to set the alarm minutes.
6. Press SET to finalize.
TURNING THE ALARM ON AND OFF
With the radio on or off press the ALARM ON/OFF button.
Notice that when it’s on, ALARM appears in left of the LCD.
SLEEP FEATURE
The sleep timer can be activated with the radio turned on or off.
Activating the sleep timer enables the radio to play for 90, 60, 30
and 10 minutes, then shut off automatically.
To activate it press the SLEEP button (in the upper right, above
the display) until the minutes you want it to play appear, then
stop pressing. SLEEP appears to the left in the display and the
radio plays for the selected minutes, then stops.
EARPHONE JACK
Located on the back of the radio, the third socket from the
left. Plug in any stereo earphones. Audio is heard in mono only.
Always turn down the volume when plugging in earphone/
headphones, then turn it up.
AUDIO-IN JACK
Located on the back of the radio, the fourth socket from the left,
it enables you to listen to other devices, such as an iPod, using a
stereo 3.5 mm (1/8 inch) cord to connected to it.

Pour de meilleures réceptions, lisez les instructions ci-dessous.
COMMANDE DU VOLUME
En tournant la molette de réglage du volume (situé en bas à
gauche) dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre, on augmente
le volume, en sens inverse on le diminue. Il faut toujours baisser
le volume avant d’utiliser des écouteurs.
ALLUMER/ETEINDRE LE FR360
Le FR360 est alimenté par 3 piles AAA, la Dynamo et la cel-
lule solaire (DYN/SOL) et l’adaptateur courant alternatif (non
fourni).
Éclairez la radio, sélectionnez DYN/SOL ou BATT (en haut à
droite, près de l’écran) et puis appuyez sur POWER.
Note: la radio peut être utilisée pendant le chargement.
ALIMENTATION PAR PILES
Installez 3 piles AAA et placez le sélecteur d’alimentation sur la
position BATT.
ALIMENTATION SOLAIRE
Lorsque vous êtes au soleil, réglez l’interrupteur d’alimentation
sur la position DYN/SOLAR. Cette position recharge également
la batterie rechargeable au Ni-MH.

ALIMENTATION PAR DYNAMO
La batterie rechargeable Ni-MH (nickel-métal-hydrure) est dans
le compartiment à batterie. Pour l’utiliser branchez-la à la prise
associée, puis réglez l’interrupteur d’alimentation sur la position
DYN/SOL. Vous devez charger la batterie; pour cela tournez la
manivelle pendant 90 secondes. La batterie rechargeable va
éventuellement perdre sa capacité à tenir la charge. Appelez
Eton Corporation pour en commander une autre.
Adaptateur secteur en 6 volts continu (non inclus)
C’est la première prise sur la gauche à l’arrière de la radio, sous
les prises en caoutchouc. Branchez l’adaptateur secteur (non in-
clus) à la prise d’entrée DC IN 6 Volt, polarité positive, 300mA.
Cela charge également la batterie au Ni-MH. Aux Etats-Unis,
un adaptateur secteur peut être acheté en appelant le 1-800-
872-2228, de 8h à 16h30, Fuseau horaire du Pacifique.

RECHARGEMENT

CHARGEMENT DES TÉLÉPHONES PORTABLES

CHARGEMENT DES TÉLÉPHONES PORTABLES
Lors du chargement d’un téléphone portable via le chargeur de
téléphone portable USB, il est important de tourner la manivelle
d’au moins 2 tours par seconde ou jusqu’à ce que vous voyiez
le voyant vert ou orange s’allumer au dessus de la manivelle.
C’est une indication que le téléphone a reçu suffisamment de
puissance de la radio. Continuez à tourner la manivelle à cette
vitesse jusqu’à ce qu’un niveau de charge approprié ait été
reçu par votre téléphone portable. Si vous décidez d’arrêter
de tourner la manivelle pour n’importe quelle raison, veuillez
attendre au moins 5 secondes avant de tourner la manivelle
de nouveau. Ne pas suivre ces instructions peut causer à votre
téléphone portable un dommage pour lequel Eton rejette toute
responsabilité et ne sera pas tenu responsable pour tout dom-
mage réel ou conséquent lié à ce problème.
LA LUMIERE AU DESSUS DE LA MANIVELLE
Une lumière rouge signifie que la radio est en marche. Une lu-
mière verte signifie que la vitesse de la manivelle est suffisante
pour permettre le rechargement.
RETRO-ECLAIRAGE LCD
Appuyez sur le bouton DISP pour allumer le rétroéclairage
pour le LCD et pour les boutons au-dessus du LCD. Il s’éteint
automatiquement après environ 5 secondes.

Lors de l’écoute de la FM et des stations météo, dépliez entière-
ment l’antenne télescopique. Lors de l’écoute de stations AM,
l’antenne télescopique n’est pas nécessaire et elle peut être
rabaissée. Syntonisez les stations en tournant la molette TUNE
(côté droit de la radio).
SELECTION DES BANDES ET SYNTONISATION
DES STATIONS
Les fréquences météo sont sur les canaux WB1 à WB7. Essayez-
les toutes et trouvez celle qui est la plus puissante; la plus puis-
sante est votre station météo. Les fréquences associées sont:
WB1; Canal 1 162.400 MHz
WB2; Canal 2 162.425 MHz
WB3; Canal 3 162.450 MHz
WB4; Canal 4 162.475 MHz
WB5; Canal 5 162.500 MHz
WB6; Canal 6 162.525 MHz

FONCTIONNALITE ALERTE NOAA
Après que vous ayez syntonisé votre station Météo locale, la
radio peut être réglée sur la fonction ALERT, en appuyant sur
le bouton ALERT (le plus à droite au dessus du LCD). Cette
fonction éteint la radio, mais continue à gérer les fréquences
NOAA. S’il y a une émission d’alerte, la radio se rallume, vous
permettant d’entendre l’émission d’alerte. Pour arrêter l’alerte,
appuyez de nouveau sur le bouton ALERT; ALERT disparaît de
l’affichage.
REMARQUE: tant que ALERT est sélectionnée, aucune autre
station ne peut être syntonisée et ne peut être reçue.

fausses alertes NOAA peuvent apparaître à certains moments
de la journée résultant de circonstances hors du contrôle du

REGLAGE DE L’HEURE ET DE L’ALARME
L’horloge est une horloge 12/24-heures, et comme une horloge
12 heures PM à partir de midi.
Pour changer le format horaire de 12 à 24 ou vice
versa:
1. Avec la radio éteinte, appuyez brièvement trois fois sur le
bouton SET.
2. 12 ou 24 s’affiche.
3. Appuyez sur les boutons MIN/UP ou HOUR/DOWN pour
modifier l’heure.
4. Appuyez sur SET pour terminer.

FONCTIONNALITE SOMMEIL
La minuterie de sommeil peut être activée avec la radio en
marche ou éteinte. L’activation de la minuterie de sommeil per-
met à la radio de marcher pendant 90, 60, 30 et 10 minutes,
puis elle s’éteint automatiquement.
Pour l’activer, appuyez sur le bouton SLEEP (à droite en haut, au
dessus de l’affichage) jusqu’à ce que les minutes de durée de
fonctionnement que vous souhaitez apparaissent, puis cessez
d’appuyer. SLEEP apparaît à gauche sur l’affichage et la radio
fonctionne durant les minutes sélectionnées, puis s’arrête.
PRISE ECOUTEURS
Située à l’arrière de la radio, c’est la troisième prise en partant
de la gauche. Branchez n’importe quels écouteurs stéréo.
L’audio est uniquement en mono. Baissez toujours le volume
lors du branchement d’écouteurs/oreillettes, puis augmentez le.
PRISE AUDIO-IN
Située à l’arrière de la radio, c’est la quatrième prise en partant
de la gauche, elle vous permet d’écouter d’autres appareils,
tels qu’un iPod, en utilisant un cordon stéréo de 3.5 mm (1/8
pouces) qui se connecte à elle.

CONTROL DE VOLÙMEN
Girando la Perilla de ajuste del volumen (ubicada en la parte in-
ferior izquierda) en el sentido de las manecillas del reloj se sube
el volumen; en sentido contrario de baja el volumen. Siempre
antes de usar audífonos primero baje el volumen.
COMO ENCENDER/APAGAR EL FR360
El FR360 es alimentado por 3 baterías AAA, la dínamo y celda
solar (DYN/SOL) y un adaptador AC (no incluido).
Para encender la radio, seleccione DYN/SOL o BATT (parte
superior derecha, al lado del LCD) y luego presione POWER.
Nota: el radio puede funcionar mientras se está cargando.
ALIMENTACIÒN POR BATERÌAS
Instale 3 baterías AAA y ajuste el interruptor de selección de
alimentación a la posición BATT.
ALIMENTACIÓN SOLAR
Cuando este bajo la luz solar directa ajuste el interruptor de ali-
mentación a la posición DYN/SOLAR. En esta posición también
se recarga la batería recargable Ni-MH.
ALIMENTACIÓN POR DÍNAMO
La batería Ni-MH (níquel-metal-hidrido) recargable está en su

compartimento. Para usarlo conecte la batería en la toma adya-
cente, luego ajuste el interruptor de alimentación a la posición
DYN/SOL. Es posible que tenga que cargar la batería, para esto
gire la manivela durante 90 segundos. Eventualmente la batería
recargable perderá la habilidad de mantener la carga. En ese
caso llame a Eton Corporation para ordenar una nueva.
Adaptador entrada-DC 6v Ac (NO INCLUIDO)
Este es la primera toma de la izquierda en la parte trasera de
la radio, bajo el tapón de caucho. Conecte el adaptador AC
(no incluido) a la toma de entrada DC de 6 Voltios, polaridad
positiva y 300mA. Esto también carga la batería Ni-MH. En los
Estados Unidos, puede comprar un adaptador AC llamando
al teléfono 1-800-872-2228 entre 8 am y 4:30 pm, hora del
pacífico.
RESPUESTAS A LAS PREGUNTAS RESPECTO A
LA CARGA
• ¿Cuánto tiempo de funcionamiento dan 90 segundos de
manivela a la radio? Aproximadamente 15 minutos.
• ¿Cuánto se tarda en cargar completamente la batería de la
radio con el adaptador AC? Aproximadamente 6 horas.
• ¿Cuánto tiempo funcionará la radio después de cargar con el
adaptador AC? Aproximadamente 10 horas.
• ¿Cuánto se tarda en cargar completamente la batería de la
radio con el panel solar? Aproximadamente 10 horas a la luz
solar directa.
CARGA DE TELÉFONOS MÓVILES
Presione el botón con la etiqueta CELL. Conecte el cable de
carga USB del teléfono móvil en la toma de USB de CARGA
DEL TELÉFONO que es la segunda toma desde la izquierda en
la parte trasera de la radio. Conecte la otra punta del cable en
la toma de carga del teléfono móvil y luego en la toma del telé-
fono móvil. Después de 3 minutos de dar manivela usted podrá
realizar una corta llamada de emergencia. Para comprar una
com y compre el cable USB parte # PS00271-0001.

COMO CARGAR TELÉFONOS MÓVILES
Al cargar un teléfono móvil usando el cargador USB, es
importante rotar la manivela a por lo menos 2 revoluciones
por segundo o hasta que pueda ver el LED sobre la manivela
iluminar de color verde o naranja. Esta es una muestra de
que el teléfono está recibiendo suficiente energía de la radio.
Continúe dando manivela a esta velocidad hasta cuando esté
satisfecho con el nivel de carga requerido que ha recibido
su teléfono móvil. Si por cualquier motivo decide detener la
acción, esperé por lo menos 5 segundos antes de comenzar de
nuevo. El no seguir estas instrucciones puede dañar su teléfono
móvil y Eton renuncia a cualquier responsabilidad y no se hará
responsable par ningún daño de hecho, como consecuencia o
relacionado con este asunto.
LA LUZ SOBRE LA MANIVELA
Una luz roja indica que la radio está encendida. Una luz verde
indica que hay suficiente velocidad en la manivela para cargar.
LUZ DE FONDO LCD
Presione el botón DISP para encender la luz de fondo para el
LCD y los botones sobre el LCD. Esta se apagará automática-
mente después de 5 segundos.
COMO SELECCIONAR BANDAS Y SINTONIZAR
ESTACIONES
El FR360 reproduce AM (520-1710 KHz), FM (87.5-108 MHz) y
7 canales climáticos NOAA:
Encienda la radio. Seleccione AM, FM o WB1-WB7 con la
perilla sobre el botón TUNE (lado derecho de la radio).
Cuando escuche canales FM y climáticos, extienda la antena
telescópica completamente. Cuando sintonice estaciones AM no es
necesaria la antena telescópica y esta puede ser bajada. Sintonice
estaciones girando la perilla TUNE (lado derecho de la radio).
Las frecuencias climáticas están en los canales WB1 hasta WB7.
Inténtelos todos y encuentre el de señal más fuerte, esa es su
estación climática. Las frecuencias asociadas a estas son:

LA CARACTERÍSTICA DE ALERTA NOAA
Después sintonizar su canal climático local, la radio se puede
ajustar a la función de ALERTA, presionando el botón ALERT
(último a la derecha abajo del LCD). Esta función apaga la
radio, pero continúa monitorizando la frecuencia NOAA. Si una
alerta es transmitida, este se vuelve a encender, permitiéndole
escuchar la transmisión de emergencia. Para apagar la ALERTA,
presione el botón ALERT de nuevo; ALERT desaparecerá de la
pantalla.
NOTA: mientras ALERT este seleccionado, ninguna otra
estación puede ser sintonizada o recibida.
Nota sobre alerta falsa NOAA: en diferentes momentos
del día, se pueden producir alertas NOAA falsas como resul-
tado de eventos que se salen del control del fabricante de este
receptor. Si recibe tales alertas, le sugerimos apagar la opción
ALERT (ALERTA).
COMO AJUSTAR LA HORA Y LA ALARMA
El reloj es un reloj de 12/24 horas, cuando esta en 12-horas el
reloj mostrará PM en la pantalla después del medio día.
Para cambiar del modo 12 a 24 horas o viceversa:
1. Con la radio apagada, pulse tres veces el botón SET.
2. 12 o 24 aparecerá en la pantalla.
3. Presione los botones MIN/UP o HOUR/DOWN para
cambiarla.
4. Presione SET para terminar.

Para ajustar la hora:
1. Con la radio apagada, pulse una vez el botón SET.
2. Mientras las horas están intermitentes presione los botones
HR/UP o MIN/DOWN para ajustar las horas.
3. Presione SET de nuevo.
4. Mientras los minutos están intermitentes presione los bot-
ones HR/UP o MIN/DOWN para ajustar los minutos.
5. Presione SET para terminar
COMO AJUSTAR LA HORA Y LA ALARMA
Para ajustar la alarma:
1. Con la radio apagada, presiones el botón ALARM y luego el
botón SET.
2. ALARM aparecerá a la izquierda del LCD y la hora se
mostrará intermitente.
3. Presione los botones HR/UP o MIN/DOWN para ajustar la
hora de la alarma.
4. Presione SET de nuevo.
5. Mientras los minutos están intermitentes presione los
botones HR/UP o MIN/DOWN para ajustar los minutos de
la alarma.
6. Presione SET para terminar.
COMO ENCENDER Y APAGAR LA ALARMA
Con la radio encendida o apagada presione el botón ALARM
ON/OFF. Tenga en cuenta que cuando está encendida, ALARM
se muestra a la izquierda del LCD.
TEMPORIZADOR DE APAGADO
El temporizador de apagado puede ser activado con la radio
apagada o encendida. Al activar el temporizador de apagado
la radio reproducirá por 90, 60, 30 o 10 minutos y luego se
apagará automáticamente.
Para activarlo presione el botón SLEEP (en la parte superior
derecha, sobre la pantalla) hasta que los minutos que desee
reproducir aparezcan, y luego deje de presionar. SLEEP se
mostrará a la izquierda de la pantalla y la radio reproducirá
durante los minutos seleccionados, luego se detiene.

ENCHUFE PARA AUDÍFONO
Ubicado en la parte trasera de la radio, es la tercera toma
desde la izquierda. Conecte cualquier audífono estéreo. El
audio se escucho solo en mono. Siempre antes de conectar los
audífonos/auriculares baje el volumen, luego súbalo.
ENCHUFE AUDIO-IN
Ubicado en la parte trasera de la radio, es la cuarta toma desde
la izquierda, le permite escuchar a otros dispositivos, tales
como iPod, usando un cable estéreo de 3.5 mm (1/8 pulgadas)
conectado.
