The BUSHNELL MARINE is the perfect binocular for sailors and outdoorsmen. Your
model features a liquid-filled compass built into the viewing optics. Compass swing
stops immediately due to advanced damping design. Compass bearings are called out
in easy-to-read precise 1° increments. Ideal for shipboard navigation work or locating
objects accurately. A range-finding scale allows the viewer to estimate the range of
objects to a known size. The BUSHNELL MARINE is fully waterproof/fogproof and shock
protected with suregrip rubber armoring, and has roll-down eyecups for use with
sunglasses and prescription eyeglasses. Optics feature multi-coated lenses for excellent
light transmission. The BUSHNELL MARINE comes complete with rugged nylon case and

HOW TO USE
First, adjust the width (interpupillary distance) of your binoculars with the central
hinge, so that when you look through them, you see a single circular image. Then
focus the binocular for one eye at a time by turning the oculars (eyepieces) until you
see an equally sharp image with each eye. If more than one person will be using the
binoculars, you should mark the left and right eyepieces for your own vision to permit
quick readjustment.
USING THE COMPASS
The compass is a precision unit. It has extremely fast damping so
that there is almost no ‘swing’ and is corrected for dip (Latitude).
The compass scale is in one degree increments and is aligned

with the vertical range finding scale. When using the compass,
always keep in mind the local variation between magnetic and
true north.
HOW TO USE THE RETICLE
The vertical scale (reticle) visible through the left half of the binocular, above the
compass display, allows you to calculate distance to an object if you know its height, or
to calculate the height of an object if you know its distance from you.

Each mark on the vertical scale has a
value of 5 MIL (1 Mil is equivalent to
an angle that can determine an object
one meter in height at a distance of
1000 meters).Therefore, if a navigation
chart gives the height of an object,
by sighting on it and counting the
number of MILs, you can determine
how far away it is. Here are the two
formulas:

USING THE COMPASS ILLUMINATOR
The BUSHNELL MARINE compass model comes with
built-in LED compass illuminator for use at night and
in low light conditions. (Incidentally, the compass is
built into the left tube of the binocular but the push
button control for the light and the battery are located
in the right tube. This was done to minimize the chance
that electrical interference might affect compass
performance.) When the ambient light does not permit
you to see the compass heading clearly, press the button atop the right tube. If the light
is dim or does not come on, replace the batteries. If the light does not operate after
replacing the batteries, please contact the Bushnell
dealer nearest you.
HOW TO CHANGE THE BATTERIES
To change the battery, use a thin coin to remove the
battery cover by turning it counter-clockwise. Remove
the two batteries. The batteries have a (+) on the front
and a (-) on the back. Be sure to insert the new batteries
with (+) signs in the same direction. Replace the battery
cover by turning it clockwise.

UTILISATION
Commencez par régler la largeur (distance interpupillaire) des jumelles de façon que,
lorsque vous y regardez, vous voyez une seule image circulaire. Puis réglez la mise au point
des jumelles, un seul œil à la fois, en tournant les oculaires, de manière à voir une image
tout aussi nette avec chaque œil. Si plusieurs personnes doivent utiliser les jumelles, vous
devriez marquer les oculaires gauche et droit au réglage approprié à votre propre vision,
de manière à pouvoir régler à nouveau rapidement.
UTILISATION DU COMPAS
Le compas est un instrument de précision. Il est doté d’un
dispositif amortisseur extrêmement rapide, de façon qu’il n’y a

pratiquement pas d’oscillation et il est corrigé pour la latitude.
Les graduations du compas sont d’un degré et sont alignées sur
l’échelle verticale d’évaluation de distance. Lors de l’utilisation
du compas, souvenez-vous toujours de la variation locale entre le nord magnétique et le
nord réel.
UTILISATION DU RÉTICULE
L’échelle verticale (réticule) visible à travers la partie gauche des jumelles, au-dessus de
l’affichage du compas, vous permet de calculer la distance à un objet dont vous connaissez
la hauteur, ou bien de calculer la hauteur d’un objet si vous en connaissez la distance.

Chaque marque de l’échelle verticale

UTILISATION DU DISPOSITIF D’ÉCLAIRAGE DU
COMPAS
Le modèle de jumelles à compas BUSHNELL MARINE
comporte un dispositif d’éclairage à DEL intégré, pour
l’utilisation de nuit et en situations de faible luminosité. (À
ce propos, le compas est intégré dans le cylindre gauche
des jumelles, mais le bouton-poussoir de l’éclairage et la
pile sont situés dans le cylindre droit. Ceci a été fait pour
minimiser les risques de parasites électriques pouvant
affecter les performances du compas). Lorsque la lumière
ambiante ne vous permet pas de voir clairement le cap au compas, appuyez sur le bouton,
sur le dessus du cylindre droit. Si l’éclairage est faible ou ne s’allume pas, remplacez les
piles. Si l’éclairage ne fonctionne pas après avoir remplacé
les piles, veuillez contacter le distributeur Bushnell le plus
proche.
COMMENT CHANGER LES PILES
Pour changer les piles, utilisez une pièce de monnaie fine
pour dévisser (sens inverse des aiguilles d’une montre) le
couvercle du compartiment des piles. Enlevez les deux piles.
Elles ont un signe (+) sur le devant et un signe (-) au dos.
Veillez à installer les piles neuves avec les signes (+) dans
le même sens. Remettez le couvercle en place en le vissant

CÓMO SE USA
Primero, ajuste la anchura (distancia interpupilar) de sus binoculares de forma que
cuando mire a través de los mismos vea una imagen circular única. Luego enfoque el
binocular un ojo a la vez girando los oculares hasta que vea una imagen igualmente
nítida con cada ojo. Si hay más de una persona usando los binoculares, deberá marcar
los oculares izquierdo y derecho para su propia vista con el fin de poder hacer un
reajuste rápido.
CÓMO SE USA EL COMPÁS
El compás es una unidad de precisión. Tiene una atenuación
extremadamente rápida, de modo que apenas tiene

‘desviación’ y está corregido por la inclinación (latitud). La
escala del compás se presenta en incrementos de un grado y
está alineada con la escala telemétrica vertical. Cuando use el
compás, considere siempre la variación local entre el norte magnético y geográfico.
CÓMO SE USA LA RETÍCULA
La escala vertical (retícula) visible a través de la mitad izquierda del binocular, por encima
de la pantalla del compás, le permite calcular la distancia hasta un objeto si sabe qué
altura tiene, o calcular la altura de un objeto si sabe a qué distancia está de usted.

Cada marca de la escala vertical tiene
un valor de 5 MIL (1 Mil es equivalente

CÓMO SE USA EL ILUMINADOR DEL COMPÁS
El modelo de compás BUSHNELL MARINE viene con
iluminador de compás LED integrado para utilizarse
por la noche y en condiciones de luz escasa. (Por cierto,
el compás está integrado en el tubo izquierdo del
binocular, pero los botones pulsadores de control de la
luz y la pila están situados en el tubo derecho. Se hizo
así para reducir al mínimo la posibilidad de que unas
interferencias eléctricas puedan afecta el rendimiento
del compás). Cuando la luz ambiental no le permita ver el rumbo del compás con
claridad, pulse el botón situado en la parte superior del tubo derecho. Si la luz es difusa
o no se enciende, sustituya las pilas. Si la luz no funciona
después de sustituir las pilas, póngase en contacto con el
distribuidor de Bushnell más cercano.
CÓMO SE CAMBIAN LAS PILAS
Para cambiar la pila, use una moneda delgada para quitar
la cubierta de las pilas girándola a izquierdas. Saque las dos
pilas. Las pilas tienen un signo (+) en la parte frontal y un
signo (-) en la parte posterior. Asegúrese de insertar las pilas
nuevas con los signos (+) en la misma dirección. Vuelva a

Zunächst die Breite (Pupillenabstand) des Fernglases so anpassen, daß man beim
Durchsehen ein einziges rundes Bild sieht. Dann das Fernglas für jeweils ein Auge
einstellen, indem die Okulare so gedreht werden, daß man mit jedem Auge ein gleich
scharfes Bild sieht. Wenn das Fernglas von mehreren Leuten benutzt wird, sollte das
linke und das rechte Okular für die eigene Sicht markiert werden, damit sie rasch wieder
eingestellt werden kann.
BENUTZUNG DES KOMPASSES
Der Kompaß ist ein Präzisionsgerät. Er hat eine extrem rasche
Dämpfung, so daß fast kein„Schwingen“ eintritt, und er ist für
die Breite korrigiert. Die Kompaßskala hat Ein-grad-Stufen

und ist mit der vertikalen Skala für die Entfernungsmessung
ausgerichtet. Bei der Benutzung des Kompasses immer an den
örtlichen Unterschied zwischen dem magnetischen und dem echten Norden denken.
BENUTZUNG DES FADENKREUZES
Mit der vertikalen Skala (Fadenkreuz), die durch die linke Hälfte des Fernglases oberhalb
des Kompaß-Displays sichtbar ist, kann die Entfernung zu einem Objekt berechnet
werden, wenn seine Höhe bekannt ist, oder es kann die Höhe eines Objekts berechnet
werden, wenn seine Entfernung bekannt ist.

BENUTZUNG DES KOMPASS-ILLUMINATORS
Der BUSHNELL MARINE Kompaß wird mit einem
eingebauten LED Kompaß-Iluminator für den Einsatz
in der Nacht und bei schlechten Lichtverhältnissen
geliefert. (Übrigens ist der Kompaß in das linke Rohr
des Fernglases eingebaut, aber die Knopfbedienung
für das Licht und die Batterie befinden sich im rechten
Rohr. Dies soll die gefahr verringern, daß elektrische
Interferenz die Kompaßleistung beeinträchtigen
könnte). Wenn durch das Umgebungslicht der
Kompaßkurs nicht klar gesehen wird, den Knopf oben auf dem rechten Rohr drücken.
Wenn das Licht schwach ist oder nicht einschaltet, die Batterien ersetzen. Wenn das
Licht nach Austausch der Batterien nicht funktioniert,
den nächsten Bushnell Händler ansprechen.

ISTRUZIONI
Per prima cosa, regolare la larghezza (distanza interpupillare) del binocolo in modo da
vedere una sola immagina circolare. Quindi, mettere a fuoco il binocolo, un occhio per
volta, girando gli oculari fino a quando si vede un’immagine di pari nitidezza con ciascun
occhio. Se più persone utilizzano lo stesso binocolo si raccomanda di prendere nota
della regolazione dell’oculare destro e sinistro per ridurre i tempi di messa a punto.
UTILIZZO DELLA BUSSOLA
La bussola è uno strumento di precisione. La bussola è munita
di un sistema di smorzamento estremamente rapido che rende
quasi nulla l’oscillazione e rettifica l’inclinazione (latitudine).

La scala della bussola è suddivisa in campi di un grado ed è
allineata con la scala multimetrica del range verticale. Quando
si usa la bussola occorre tenere sempre presente la differenza
locale tra il nord magnetico e il nord vero e proprio.
UTILIZZO DEL RETICOLO
La scala verticale (reticolo) che si vede attraverso la metà sinistra del binocolo, al di sopra
del display della bussola, permette di calcolare la distanza da sé stessi ad un oggetto di
cui si conosce l’altezza. Permette, inoltre, di calcolare l’altezza di un oggetto di cui se ne
conosca la distanza.

Ogni contrassegno sulla scala verticale
ha un valore di 5 MIL (1 Mil equivale ad
un angolo capace di determinare un

UTILIZZO DELL’ILLUMINATORE DELLA BUSSOLA
Il modello BUSHNELL MARINE con bussola è completo
di illuminatore LED incorporato per bussola per l’uso
di notte e in ambienti poco illuminati. (La bussola è
incorporata nel tubo sinistro del binocolo, mentre il
pulsante di comando della luce e la pila si trovano nel
tubo destro per ridurre al minimo i rischi di interferenza
elettrica sul funzionamento della bussola). Quando ci si
trova in ambienti poco illuminati dove non è possibile
vedere chiaramente l’angolo di rotta della bussola, basta premere il pulsante sul tubo
destro. Se la luce non si accenda o è bassa, sostituire le pile. Se l’apparato non si illumina
dopoaversostituitolepile, contattareilrivenditoreBushnell
della propria zona.
SOSTITUZIONE DELLE PILE
Per sostituire le pile occorre, per prima cosa, aprire il
coperchio del vano pile facendolo ruotare in senso
antiorario con una moneta di spessore sottile. Togliere le
due pile. Le pile hanno la polarità positiva (+) sulla parte
anteriore e quella negativa (-) sul retro. Inserire le nuove pile
con i contrassegni (+) rivolti nello stesso senso. Rimettere

COMO USAR
Primeiro, ajuste a largura (distância interpupilar) do binóculo para que, ao observar por
ele, você enxergure somente uma imagem circular. Em seguida, focalize o binóculo para
um olho de cada vez, girando as oculares até visualizar a imagem igualmente nítida com
cada olho. Caso mais de uma pessoa usar os binóculos, deve-se anotar a posição das
oculares para a sua visão, de forma a permitir um reajuste rápido.
COMO USAR A BÚSSOLA
A bússola é uma unidade de precisão. Ela possui um
amortecimentoextremamenterápido,sendoquepraticamente
não há “oscilação” , mas há correção da inclinação (latitude).

A escala da bússola é graduada em incrementos de um grau
e está alinhada com a escala telemétrica vertical. Ao usar a
bússola, não esqueça da variação local entre o norte magnético
e o norte verdadeiro.
COMO USAR A RETÍCULA
A escala vertical (retícula) visível pela metade esquerda do binóculo, acima do display
da bússola, permite calcular a distância a um objeto quando sua altura é conhecida, ou
calcular a altura do objeto, quando se conhece sua distância.

COMO USAR O ILUMINADOR DA BÚSSOLA
O modelo da bússola BUSHNELL MARINE inclui
um iluminador de LED para ser usado à noite e em
condições de baixa luminosidade. (A propósito, a
bússola é construída no tubo esquerdo do binóculo,
mas o controle do botão de comando para a luz e as
pilhas se encontram no tubo direito. Isso foi feito para
minimizar a possibilidade da interferência elétrica
afetar seu desempenho.) Quando a luz do ambiente
não permitir ver a proa do bússola com clareza, pressione o botão na parte superior
do tubo direito. Se a luz estiver fraca ou não ligar, troque as pilhas. Se mesmo após
trocar as pilhas a luz não acender, entre em contato com o
representante da Bushnell mais próximo.
COMO TROCAR AS PILHAS
Para trocar a pilha, use uma moeda de pequena espessura
para retirar a tampa do compartimento de pilhas girando-a
no sentido anti-horário. Retire as duas pilhas. As pilhas
apresentam as polaridades positiva (+) na frente e negativa
(-) na parte posterior. Certifique-se de inserir as novas pilhas
com as polaridades na mesma direção. Reinstale a tampa
