Your Breville appliance is fitted with a short
power supply cord as a safety precaution to
prevent personal injury or property damage
resulting from pulling, tripping or becoming
entangled with a longer cord. Do not allow
children to use or be near this appliance
without close adult supervision. Longer
detachable power supply cords or extension
cords are not recommended but may be
used if care is exercised. If an extension cord
is used, (1) the marked electrical rating of
the cord set or extension cord should be at
least as great as the electrical rating of the
appliance, (2) the cord should be arranged
so that it will not drape over the countertop
or tabletop where it can be pulled on by
children or tripped over unintentionally
and (3) the extension cord must include a
3-prong grounding plug.

BEFORE FIRST USE
Before using the Juice Extractor for the
first time, remove and safely discard any
packaging material and promotional labels.
Ensure the power cord is unplugged from
the wall outlet.
Wipe the Motor Base with a damp cloth.
Dry thoroughly.
Wash the Filter Bowl Surround, Filter Basket,
Juicer Cover, Food Pusher, Juice Jug and
Pulp Container in warm soapy water with
a soft cloth or nylon brush. Rinse and dry
thoroughly.
4. Assemble the filter basket into the
scraper wiper then place this assembly
in to the juicing bowl.
NOTE
These parts are not dishwasher safe.
1. Place the Motor Base on a flat dry
surface such as a counter-top. Ensure the
power cord is unplugged from the
wall outlet.
2. Place the filter bowl surround on top of
the motor base. Align the arrows to the
ALIGN position then turn slightly to
the left to the ALIGN/LOCK (closed)
position.
5. Note that the orange dot on the filter
needs to align with the orange dot on
the juicing bowl and motor base. Ensure
that the filter basket is completely
pushed down.
3. Underneath the Filter Bowl Surround is
the pulp extraction silicon, which is used
to remove the pulp from the spout of the
juicing bowl. Ensure that the silicon is
firmly inserted into the juicing spout.

6. Place the juicing screw into the filter
basket. Ensure that the juicing screw is
in position by pressing down on it, and
feel it click into place.
8. Ensure that the hopper is placed on the
feed chute. Place the food pusher into
the hopper.
7. Place the lid on to the filter bowl
surround. Align the orange dot on the
lid with the orange dot on the motor
base and turn clockwise to the closed
position. The lid will click into position.
9. Place the pulp container supplied into
position by tilting slightly and placing
under the pulp spout.
NOTE
To minimize clean up, place a produce
bag into the pulp container to collect
the pulp.

6. With the motor running gently guide
food down the Feed Chute. To extract
the maximum amount of juice, always
push the Food Pusher down slowly.
OPERATING THE SLOW JUICER
1. Wash and prepare your selection of fruit
and/or vegetables: Fruits with hard or
inedible skins such as citrus fruit and
melons should be peeled before juicing.
Pineapple can be juiced with or without
the rind removed. Fruits with pits, hard
seeds or stones such as nectarines,
peaches, mangoes, apricots, plums and
cherries must be pitted before juicing.
2. Ensure the Juice Extractor is correctly
assembled with the Juice Jug and pulp
container is under the spout.
NOTE
As a safety precaution, the juicer
will not operate if it has not been
assembled correctly.

8. Immediately after use, pour a glass of
water through the juicer. Ensure that
there is a separate jug under the spout
as the water will pour directly into the
juice jug that you juiced into. This is
a cleaning aspect and will help when
cleaning the filter basket.
NOTE
The screw will move in reverse and
release the food that is caught in the
screw. Once the food is released, press
the ON button and start juicing again.
NOTE
IMPORTANT
Do not load the feed chute with food
until the motor is running.
If you are making different fruit juices
you can pour a glass of water (about
6oz) in between the different juices
to rinse any left over flavors. It is not
always necessary to completely clean
the juicer in between making multiple
juices.
7. As the fruits and vegetables are
processed, juice will flow into the
juice jug and the separated pulp will
accumulate in the pulp container.
NOTE
OvERLOAd PROTECTION
This protection device safeguards against
overloading the motor with excessive loads.
The pulp container can be emptied
during juicing by turning the juicer
to the off position and removing the
pulp container. Replace the empty
pulp container into position before
continuing to juice.
If overloading occurs, the motor will stop.
The overload protection will automatically
de-activate the motor. When this occurs,
unplug the power cord from the wall outlet
and allow the appliance to cool for at least 1
hour. Then reconnect the power cord to the
wall outlet and press the reset button on the
underside of the juicer. Then recommence
normal use.

1. Ensure the juicer is turned off and the

The juicing screw is a very heavy
object. Take care when removing the
juicing screw. Be careful not to drop
the juicing screw.
2. Remove the pulp container and
juicing jug.
3. Remove the lid by turning it to the open
position (right).
4. The filter bowl surround, scraper wiper,
filter basket and juicing screw can all be
removed together. Grip the filter bowl
surround and turn to the open position
(right) slightly, it will click out of
position. This is a very small movement.
The juicing bowl and all the internals
can now be lifted off the motor base for
cleaning.

Always ensure that the juicer is turned off
and the power cord is unplugged from the
power outlet before cleaning, disassembling
or assembling and storing the appliance.
TIP
Discoloration of the plastic parts
may occur with brightly colored fruit
and vegetables. To help prevent this,
wash parts immediately after use. If
discoloration does occur, the plastic
parts can be soaked in 10% lemon
juice and water or they can be cleaned
with a non abrasive cleaner. Do not
soak the Filter Basket in bleach.
1. Immediately after each use, use the
provided nylon brush to thoroughly
clean the fine mesh holes of the filter
basket. Brush the inside and outside of
the filter basket under running water,
holding it up towards the light to ensure
the fine mesh holes are not blocked.
3. Wipe the motor base with a soft damp
cloth and dry thoroughly. Do not use
abrasive scouring pads or cleaners when
cleaning the motor base as these may
scratch the surface. Wipe any excess
food particles from the power cord.
If the holes are blocked, soak the filter
basket in hot water with 10% lemon juice
to loosen the blocked holes.
TIP
If the Filter Basket cannot be cleaned
immediately after use, soak the Filter
Basket in hot soapy water immediately
after juicing is complete. If pulp is left
to dry on the Filter Basket, it may clog
the fine mesh holes, thereby lessening
the effectiveness of the juicer. Do not
soak the Filter Basket in bleach.
4. There is a rubber ring located on
the motor base, where the filter bowl
surround is placed upon assembly. This
ring can be removed for “hand wash
only” cleaning as necessary. Be sure to
replace the ring before next use.
2. Wash the filter bowl surround, scraper
wiper, juicing screw, pulp container and
juicing jug in warm soapy water with
the provided small nylon brush or a soft
cloth. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
NOTE
Do not place any part of the juicer in
the dishwasher.

Reset the circuit breaker if necessary.
Ensure the juicer is assembled correctly.
The Overload Protection may have automatically de-
activated the motor. Unplug the power cord from the wall
outlet and allow the appliance to cool for at least 1 hour.
Insufficient cooling time may result in the motor
de-activating again. After sufficient cooling time,
reconnect the power cord to the wall outlet, press the
reset button under the base of the motor and recommence
normal use.
Motor appears to stall
when juicing
•
The Electronic Protection device will automatically
de-activate the motor if the motor is stalled. Unplug the
power cord from the wall outlet and clear the Feed Chute.
Either too much food is being processed at one time or the
pieces are not small enough. Try trimming food, cutting
food into smaller pieces of even size and/or processing a
smaller amount per batch. Then reconnect the power cord
to the wall outlet and recommence normal use.
•

Ensure the motor is running before loading the feed chute
with food.
Hard fruits and vegetables will put excess strain onto
the motor.
Reduced juice
extraction
•
Stop the juicing process and remove the power cord
from the wall outlet. Use the provided nylon brush to
thoroughly clean the fine mesh holes of the Filter Basket.
Brush the inside of the Filter Basket under running water,
holding it up towards a light to ensure the fine mesh
holes are not blocked. If the holes are blocked, soak the
Filter Basket in hot water with 10% lemon juice to loosen
the blocked holes. Cleaning the Filter Basket will remove
excess fiber build up (from juicing the fruit or vegetables)
which could be inhibiting the juice flow.

Most fruits and hardier type vegetables
can be stored at room temperature. The
more delicate and perishable items
such as berries, leafy greens, celery,
cucumbers and herbs should be stored
in the refrigerator until required.

Citrus fruits can be juiced in the juicer
but remove the skin and excess pith
before juicing.
A small amount of lemon juice can
be added to apple juice to reduce
discoloration.

4. Assemblez le panier-filtre dans le racloir,
puis placez le tout dans le bol du panier-
filtre.
NOTE
Ces pièces ne vont pas au lave
vaisselle.
1. Placez le socle motorisé sur une surface
plane, comme un comptoir. Assurez-
vous que l’appareil est débranché.
2. Placez le bol du panier-filtre sur le
socle motorisé. Alignez les flèches à la
position ALIGN, puis tournez-le vers
la gauche à la position de verrouillage
ALIGN/LOCK.
5. Notez que le point orange sur le filtre
doit être aligné avec le point orange
sur le bol du panier-filtre et le socle
motorisé. Assurez-vous que le panier-
filtre est complètement poussé vers le
bas.
3. Sous le bol du panier-filtre se trouve le
silicone qui sert à extraire la pulpe du
bec verseur. Assurez-vous que le silicone
est fermement inséré dans le bec verseur
du bol du panier-filtre.

6. Placez la vis d’extraction dans le panier-
filtre. Appuyez sur la vis pour qu’elle soit
bien fixée; vous sentirez un déclic.
8. Faites en sorte que la trémie soit placée
sur le tube d’alimentation. Placez le
poussoir dans la trémie.
7. Placez le couvercle sur le bol du
panier-filtre. Alignez le point orange
sur le couvercle avec le point orange
sur le socle motorisé et tournez vers la
gauche, en position fermée. Le couvercle
s’enclenchera en place.
9. Fixez le contenant à pulpe fourni en
le faisant basculer légèrement pour le
placer sous le bec verseur.
NOTE
Pour faciliter le nettoyage, placez un
sac alimentaire dans le contenant à
pulpe pour la collecter.

1. Lavez les fruits et/ou légumes en
préparation de l’extraction. Les fruits à
peau dure ou non comestible, comme
les agrumes et les melons, doivent être
pelés avant l’extraction. Les ananas
peuvent être traités avec ou sans la peau.
Les fruits à noyau, pépins ou graines,
comme les nectarines, les pèches, les
mangues, les abricots, les prunes et
les cerises doivent être dénoyautés ou
épépinés avant l’extraction.
6. Pendant que le moteur tourne, poussez
délicatement les aliments dans le
tube d’alimentation. Pour extraire le
maximum de jus, appuyez toujours
lentement sur le poussoir.
2. Assurez-vous que l’extracteur est
correctement assemblé avec le pichet à
jus en place et le contenant à pulpe sous
le bec verseur.
NOTE
Par mesure de sécurité, l’extracteur
ne fonctionnera pas s’il n’est pas bien
assemblé.
3. Branchez l’appareil dans une prise
murale de 110/120V.
4. Coupez les fruits et/ou les légumes de
façon à pouvoir les insérer facilement
dans le tube d’alimentation.
NOTE
À titre indicatif, les pommes doivent
être coupées en quartiers.
NOTE
Ne pas exercer trop de pression,
puisque les fruits ou les légumes
seront en quelque sorte attirés vers le
bas par la vis d’extraction.

NOTE
ATTENTION
Si les fruits ou les légumes sont
coincés dans la vis d’extraction et
que l’extracteur cesse de fonctionner,
pressez la touche OFF (arrêt) au
centre. Assurez-vous que l’extracteur
est arrêté complètement. Pressez la
touche REVERSE (marche arrière) et
maintenez-la jusqu’à ce que les fruits
ou les légumes soient dégagés.
Ne faites pas fonctionner l’extracteur
plus de 20 secondes avant d’ajouter
les ingrédients.
8. Immédiatement après l’usage, versez un
verre d’eau dans l’extracteur. Assurez-
vous d’avoir placé un contenant sous
le bec verseur, car l’eau s’écoulera
directement dans ce contenant.
NOTE
NOTE
La vis d’extraction s’activera en
sens inverse et libérera les aliments
coincés. Une fois la nourriture
dégagée, pressez la touche ON
(marche) et reprenez l’extraction.
Si vous préparez des jus de fruits
différents, versez un verre d’eau
(environ 6 oz) entre chaque extraction
pour rincer et éliminer les saveurs
restantes. Cependant, il n’est pas
essentiel de nettoyer l’extracteur entre
chaque extraction.
IMPORTANT
Ne mettez pas d’aliments dans le tube
d’alimentation avant que le moteur ne
soit en marche.
PROTECTION CONTRE LES
SURCHARGES
Ce dispositif de protection protège le
moteur contre les surcharges en cas de
charges excessives. Dans ce cas, le moteur
s’arrêtera et la protection contre les
surcharges désactivera automatiquement
le moteur. Débranchez alors l’appareil et
laissez-le refroidir au moins une heure.
Puis rebranchez-le et pressez le bouton de
réinitialisation (reset) logé sous l’appareil.
Reprenez ensuite l’utilisation normale.
7. Pendant que les fruits et/ou légumes
sont traités, le jus d’écoulera dans
le pichet et la pulpe qui s’en sépare
s’accumulera dans le contenant à pulpe.
NOTE
Le contenant à pulpe peut être
vidé durant l’extraction. Mettez
l’extracteur hors tension (OFF) et
retirez le contenant à pulpe. Replacez
ensuite le contenant vide et reprenez
l’extraction.

la droite, en position ouverte.
4. Le bol du panier-filtre, le racloir, le
panier-filtre et la vis d’extraction
peuvent tous être retirés ensemble.
Saisissez le bol du panier-filtre et
tournez-le brièvement vers la droite,
en position ouverte. Le bol du panier-
filtre et les pièces à l’intérieur peuvent
maintenant être soulevés hors du socle
motorisé pour les nettoyer.

Assurez-vous de toujours éteindre
l’extracteur et le débrancher avant de le
nettoyer, le démonter, l’assembler ou le
ranger.
TRUC
La matière plastique peut se décolorer
avec des fruits ou des légumes très
colorés. Pour éviter une telle situation,
lavez les pièces immédiatement après
usage. S’il y a décoloration, faites
tremper les pièces en plastique dans
l’eau avec 10% de jus de citron. Elles
peuvent également être nettoyées
avec un produit nettoyant non abrasif.
Ne faites pas tremper le panier-filtre
dans l’eau de javel.
1. Immédiatement après chaque usage,
nettoyez les fins pores du panier-filtre
en micromailles à l’aide de la brosse
de nylon fournie. Brossez l’intérieur et
l’extérieur du panier-filtre sous l’eau
courante, puis tenez-le vers la lumière
afin de vous assurer que les minuscules
pores ne sont pas bloqués.
Si les pores demeurent bloqués, faites
tremper le panier-filtre dans l’eau chaude
avec 10% de jus de citron pour en
dégager les résidus.
3. Essuyez le socle motorisé avec un
chiffon doux et humide et séchez
soigneusement. N’utilisez pas de
tampons à récurer ou de nettoyants
abrasifs, car ils pourraient en égratigner
la surface. Essuyez toutes particules
d’aliments sur le cordon d’alimentation.
TRUC
Si le panier-filtre ne peut être nettoyé
immédiatement après usage, faites-le
tremper dans l’eau chaude savonneuse
immédiatement après l’extraction. Si
la pulpe séchée reste dans le panier-
filtre, elle peut obstruer les pores
de la micromaille, réduisant ainsi
l’efficacité de l’extracteur. Ne pas faire
tremper le panier-filtre dans l’eau
de javel.
4. Le socle motorisé est muni d’un anneau
en caoutchouc sur lequel repose le
bol du panier-filtre, une fois assemblé.
Cet anneau peut être retiré et ‘lavé à la
main seulement’, si nécessaire. Assurez-
vous de le remettre en place avant la
prochaine utilisation.
2. Lavez le bol du panier-filtre, le racloir,
la vis d’extraction, le contenant à
pulpe et le pichet à jus à l’eau chaude
savonneuse, à l’aide de la petite brosse
de nylon fournie ou d’un chiffon doux.

Le moteur semble caler
durant l’extraction

Le dispositif de protection électronique désactivera
automatiquement le moteur, s’il cale. Débranchez
l’appareil et nettoyez le tube d’alimentation. Soit que trop
d’aliments sont traités à la fois ou que les morceaux ne
sont pas assez petits. Coupez les aliments en plus petits
morceaux de même taille et/ou traitez une plus petite
quantité à la fois. Puis rebranchez l’appareil et reprenez
l’extraction.

Assurez-vous que le moteur est en marche avant d’insérer
les ingrédients dans le tube d’alimentation.
Les fruits et légumes durs peuvent surcharger le moteur.
La quantité de jus est
réduite

Cessez l’extraction et débranchez l’appareil. Utilisez la
brosse de nylon fournie pour bien nettoyer les fins pores
du panier-filtre en micromailles. Brossez l’intérieur du
panier-filtre sous l’eau courante, en le tenant face à la
lumière pour vous assurer que les pores ne sont pas
bloqués. Si tel est le cas, faites tremper le panier-filtre dans
l’eau chaude avec 10% de jus de citron pour débloquer
les pores. Cela éliminera les fibres accumulées (des
fruits et légumes traités) qui pourraient obstruer le débit
d’extraction.
