find the line adaptor in the box. In that case, you have to connect

the line adaptor to the line cord first before plugging the line cord

to the line socket.

Your CD140 is supplied with

two rechargeable batteries.

Before using the handset, install

the batteries into the handset

and fully charged them up.

Place the handset on the

charging cradle of the base

station.
