Connect the plug of the mains adapter to the adaptor socket on the   back of the base unit and the mains adapter to the wall mains supply.   2. Press 2 once you have entered into programming mode.   Pressing and holding   on the base adjusts the base ringer volume.   The ringer will be played once at the new volume level. If the ringer is   turned off, you will hear two short beeps.   You cannot change the base ringer setting when you are talking on the   phone.   2. Only the icon turns on. The screen displays the current setting.   “1” means the key beep is currently off, “2” means it is currently on.   3. Press 1 to turn off the key beep. Press 2 to turn it on.   4. Press   to confirm and return the phone to standby.   Finding (Paging) the Handset   You can page or locate the handset by simply pressing   on the base.   Recall Timing Duration   The handset produces a tone for 30 seconds and the handset display   flashes “oooo”. You can stop the paging by pressing any key on the   handset.   Recall timing default settings are; Australia 100ms and New Zealand   600ms. The results will show you whether the fault lies with this unit   or with the telephone line. If the product is working correctly the fault is on the   telephone line.
