Make sure the battery pack is fully charged before
recording starts.
To preserve battery power, keep your camcorder
turned off when you are not operating it.
When your camcorder is in CAMERA mode,
if it is left in STBY mode without operation for
more than 5 minutes with a tape installed,
it will automatically turn off to protect against
unnecessary battery discharge.
Make sure that the battery pack is fitted firmly into place.
Dropping the battery pack may damage it.
A brand new battery pack is not charged.
Before using the battery pack, charge it completely.
It is a good idea to use the viewfinder instead of the LCD when record-
ing for a long time, because the LCD uses up more battery power.

Para asegurar filmaciones normales e imágenes claras, limpie los
cabezales del vídeo regulamente Si las imágenes reproducidas apare-
cen distorsionadas por ruido en forma de bloques cuadrados o si sólo
se visualiza una pantalla azul durante la reproducción, es que los
cabezales del vídeo están sucios. En este caso, limpie los cabezales
del vídeo con un cassette de limpieza de tipo seco.

To ensure normal recording and a clear picture, clean the video heads
reguarly. If a square block-shaped noise distorts playback pictures, or if
only a blue screen is displayed during playback, the video heads may
be dirty. If this happens, clean the video heads with a dry type cleaning
cassette.
Do not use a wet type cleaning cassette. It may damage the video
heads.

Warning: Keep the LITHIUM BATTERY out of the reach of children.
Should any battery be swallowed, consult a doctor
immediately.

When inserting a tape or closing a cassette holder, do not apply
excessive force. It can cause a malfunction.
Do not use tapes other than Mini DV CASSETTE.

When a cassette is loaded and the camcorder is left in the STBY mode
for more than 5 minutes without being used, it will switch off
automatically. To use it again, push the START/STOP button or set the

DIS(Digital Image Stabilizer) is a handshake compensation
function that compensates for any shaking or moving of the hand
holding the camcorder (within reasonable limits).
It provides more stable pictures when:

Si se pasa la videocámara directamente de un lugar frío a otro con
una temperatura más elevada, puede condensarse la humedad en el
interior de la videocámara, en la superficie de la cinta o en las lentes.
En este caso, la cinta puede adherirse al tambor del cabezal y dañarse,
o hacer que el funcionamiento no sea correcto.

If the camcorder is brought directly from a cold place to a warm place,
moisture may condense inside the camcorder, on the surface of the
tape, or on the lens. In this condition, the tape may stick to the head
drum and be damaged or the unit may not operate correctly.
To prevent possible damage under these circumstances,
