hold the a djusting nut opposite the quic k re le a se a nd spin the re le a se le ve r be fore pulling the whe e l free.
In the rea r, shift the ge a rs to the sma lle st c og a nd ope n the bra ke s by re le a sing the ”le a d pipe “ on the V-Bra ke s. Ope n the quick re le a se a nd, while
hold ing the bike off of the ground , firmly strike the top of the re a r whe e l. The whe e l should fa ll off e a sily.
To re insta ll the whe e l, pla c e the a xle in the dropouts a nd ge ntly push down on the bic yc le to ma ke sure the a xle is firmly se a te d. The whe e l should

The first type of da mping tha t e ffe c ts shoc k pe rforma nc e is rebound da mping. Re bound da mping c ontrols the ra te a t whic h the spring e xte nds
ba c k to its optimum sa g le ngth. If the spring e xte nds too quic kly, the suspe nsion will e xhibit a “bounc y” or “ove rly live ly” fe e l. Too muc h re bound
da mping will c a use the shoc k to fe e l ”de a d“ or “unre sponsive ”. The c ha rt be low provide s guide line s to a djusting your shoc k da m ping.
