Important information
The purchase receipt is accepted as
proof of guarantee in all cases.
Before using your car radio, please read
these instructions carefully and familiar-
ise yourself with the unit. Keep these
instructions in your vehicle for later ref-
erence.

operation of your car radio or if you re-
quire further information, please do not
hesitate to call us!
The information hotline numbers are
printed on the last page of these instruc-
tions.
Road safety
Road safety has priority. Only op-
erate your car radio if the road and
traffic conditions allow you to do so.
Familiarise yourself with the unit be-
fore setting off on your journey.
You should always be able hear po-
lice, fire and ambulance sirens from
afar. For this reason, you should set
your car radio’s volume to a suitable
level.
Installation
If you want to install your car radio your-
self, read the installation and connec-
tion instructions that follow these oper-
ating instructions.
Accessories
Only use accessories approved by
Blaupunkt.
Guarantee
The scope of the guarantee is orientated
around the regulations in force within the
country in which the unit was pur-
chased.
Regardless of what the legal regulations
may stipulate, Blaupunkt provides a
twelve month guarantee.
If you have any questions regarding the
guarantee, please contact your author-
ised Blaupunkt dealer.

THEFT PROTECTION

Theft protection CODE
As a way of protecting your car radio
against theft, the system features a four
digit code. You have to enter this number
every time the unit is disconnected from
your vehicle’s electrical power supply.
As a factory default, the code entry re-
quest function is deactivated. However,
you have the option of activating this
function.
Entering the code
➮ Switch on the unit.
“CODE” appears in the display first of
all and is followed by four zeros.
➮ Keep pressing station button 1 <
until the first number of your code
appears in the display.
The numerical code is printed on the
pass card supplied with your unit.
➮ Keep pressing station button 2 <
until the second number of your
code appears in the display.
Note:
Never keep your radio’s pass card in
your vehicle!
➮ Keep pressing station button 3 <
until the third number of your code
appears in the display.
Activating/deactivating the code
In order to activate/deactivate the code
request function, proceed as follows:
➮ Keep pressing station button 4 <

off the unit.

stored on each memory level.

Tuning into a station

You can automatically store the five sta-
tions with the strongest reception in the
region (only FM).
Automatic station search mode
➮ Press either the or button :.
The unit tunes into the next receivable
station.
The stations are stored in the FMT
memory.
Sensitivity of the station search
mode
You can configure the radio to only re-
ceive stations with a strong reception
or to also receive those with a weak re-
ception.
Note:
Stations that were previously stored in
this memory are deleted in the process.
➮ Keep the FMT button 1 pressed
for longer than two seconds or
briefly press the TS button 5 (only
on the Lübeck C30).
➮ Keep pressing the MENU button
; until “SENS” appears in the

The automatic station storing procedure
begins. “T-STORE” appears in the dis-
play.After the process is completed, you
will start hearing the station that is stored
in FMT memory location 1.
The display shows the currently set
value for sensitivity. “SENS HI” means
that the tuner is highly sensitive. “SENS
LO” means it has a low sensitivity set-
ting. If “SENS LO” is selected, “lo” lights
up in the display.

most is then played first of all. A cas-

Setting the traffic
If the “TRAFFIC” function is active (pri-
ority for traffic information), the car ra-
dio will also be ready to receive traffic
announcements even whilst you are lis-
tening to a cassette. If the unit receives
a traffic announcement, cassette play-
back will be interrupted and you will hear
the traffic announcement. For further
details read the chapter on “Traffic in-
formation reception”.
