CONSUMER LIMITED WARRANTY FOR U.S. USERS
SHARP ELECTRONICS CORPORATION warrants to the first consumer purchaser that this Sharp brand product
(the “Product”), when shipped in its original container, will be free from defective workmanship and materials, and
agrees that it will, at its option, either repair the defect or replace the defective Product or part thereof with a new or
remanufactured equivalent at no charge to the purchaser for parts or labor for the period(s) set forth below.
This warranty does not apply to any appearance items of the Product nor to the additional excluded item(s) set forth
below nor to any Product the exterior of which has been damaged or defaced, which has been subjected to improper
voltage or other misuse, abnormal service or handling, or which has been altered or modified in design or construction.
In order to enforce the rights under this limited warranty, the purchaser should follow the steps set forth below and
provide proof of purchase to the servicer.
The limited warranty described herein is in addition to whatever implied warranties may be granted to purchasers by
law. ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR USE

Sharp Electronics of Canada Ltd. (hereinafter called “Sharp”) gives the following express warranty to the first consumer purchaser for this
Sharp brand product, when shipped in its original container and sold or distributed in Canada by Sharp or by an Authorized Sharp Dealer:
Sharp warrants that this product is free, under normal use and maintenance, from any defects in material and workmanship. If any such
defects should be found in this product within the applicable warranty period, Sharp shall, at its option, repair or replace the product as
specified herein.
This warranty shall not apply to:
(a) Any defects caused or repairs required as a result of abusive operation, negligence, accident, improper installation or inappropriate
use as outlined in the owner’s manual.
(b) Any Sharp product tampered with, modified, adjusted or repaired by any party other than Sharp, Sharp’s Authorized Service Centres
or Sharp’s Authorized Servicing Dealers.
(c) Damage caused or repairs required as a result of the use with items not specified or approved by Sharp, including but not limited to
head cleaning tapes and chemical cleaning agents.
(d) Any replacement of accessories, glassware, consumable or peripheral items required through normal use of the product including but
not limited to earphones, remote controls, AC adapters, batteries, temperature probe, stylus, trays, filters, belts, ribbons, cables and
paper.
(e) Any cosmetic damage to the surface or exterior that has been defaced or caused by normal wear and tear.
(f) Any damage caused by external or environmental conditions, including but not limited to transmission line/power line voltage or liquid
spillage.
(g) Any product received without appropriate model, serial number and CSA/cUL markings.
(h) Any products used for rental or commercial purposes.
(i) Any installation, setup and/or programming charges.
Should this Sharp product fail to operate during the warranty period, warranty service may be obtained upon delivery of the Sharp product
together with proof of purchase and a copy of this LIMITED WARRANTY statement to an Authorized Sharp Service Centre or an
Authorized Sharp Servicing Dealer. In home warranty service may be provided at Sharp’s discretion on any Sharp television with the
screen size of 27” or larger and on any Sharp Over-the-Range Microwave Oven.
This warranty constitutes the entire express warranty granted by Sharp and no other dealer, service centre or their agent or employee is
authorized to extend, enlarge or transfer this warranty on behalf of Sharp. To the extent the law permits, Sharp disclaims any and all
liability for direct or indirect damages or losses or for any incidental, special or consequential damages or loss of profits resulting from a
defect in material or workmanship relating to the product, including damages for the loss of time or use of this Sharp product or the loss of
information. The purchaser will be responsible for any removal, reinstallation, transportation and insurance costs incurred. Correction of
defects, in the manner and period of time described herein, constitute complete fulfillment of all obligations and responsibilities of Sharp to
the purchaser with respect to the product and shall constitute full satisfaction of all claims, whether based on contract, negligence, strict

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should be followed, including the
following:
- To reduce the risk of electrical shock, fire or injury to persons:
WARNING
• Read all instructions before using the unit.
• Use only a 120 volt outlet.
• The air purifier has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit in a
polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit into the outlet, reverse it. If it still does not fit,
contact a qualified electrician or service person. Do not alter the plug in any way.
• Do not use the unit if the power cord or plug is damaged or the connection to the wall outlet
is loosened.
• Periodically remove dust from the power plug.
• Do not insert fingers or foreign objects into the air intake or air outlet.
• When removing the power plug, always hold the plug and never pull the cord.
Electrical shock and/or fire from short circuit may occur as a result.
• Do not remove the plug when your hands are wet.
• Do not use this unit near gas appliances or fireplaces.
• Remove the power plug from the wall outlet before cleaning the unit and when not using the
unit.
Electrical shock from bad insulation and/or fire from short circuit may occur as a result.
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent,
Sharp Authorized Service Center or similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
• Do not operate when using aerosol insecticides or in rooms where there is oily residue, incense,
sparks from lit cigarettes, chemical fumes in the air or in very high humidity conditions, such as a
bathroom.
• Be cautious when cleaning the unit. Corrosive cleansers may damage the exterior.
• Only Sharp Approved Service Center should service this air purifier. Contact the nearest Service
Center for any problems, adjustments, or repairs.
- Radio or TV Interference
NOTE
If this air purifier should cause interference to radio or television reception, try to correct the
interference by one or more of the following measures:
• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
• Increase the separation between the unit and radio/TV receiver.
• Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is
connected.
• Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
This product fulfils the requirement of the International standard CISPR 11.
In conformity with this standard, this product is classified as group 1 class B equipment.
Group 1 means that the equipment in which there is intentionally generated or used conductively
coupled RF energy that is necessary for the internal functioning of the equipment itself.
Class B equipment means that the equipment suitable to be used in domestic establishments.

NOTE
• The air purifier is designed to remove air-suspended dust, but not harmful gases (for example, car-
bon monoxide contained in cigarette smoke).
• It is suggested to open the window a bit when you smoking in order to facilitate ventilation.
CAUTIONS CONCERNING OPERATION
• Do not block the air intake and/or air outlet.
• Do not use the unit near or on hot objects, such as stoves or heaters or where it may come into
contact with steam.
• Do not sit on the main unit and do not lean on it, it may cause injury or malfunction.
• Always hold the handle on the back of the unit when moving it.
Holding the back panel when carrying may cause it to detach, thus dropping the unit and resulting
in bodily injury.
• Do not operate the unit without the HEPA filter.
• Do not wash and reuse the HEPA filter.
Not only does it not improve filter performance, but also may cause electrical shock or malfunction.
• Clean the exterior with a soft cloth only.
Do not use volatile fluids and/or detergents.
The unit surface may be damaged or cracked.
• Always operate the main unit in an upright position.
• Keep the main unit away from water.
INSTALLATION GUIDELINES
• During the operation of the product, please place the unit at least 6.5ft.(2m) away from
equipment utilizing electrical waves such as televisions, radios or wave clocks.
• Avoid locations where curtains, etc., come into contact with the intake or air outlet.
Curtains, etc., may become dirty or a malfunction may occur.
• Avoid use in locations where the unit is exposed to condensation or rapid temperature
changes. (Use under appropriate conditions between 41 - 95˚F (5 - 35˚C) in the room.)
(If it is unavoidable please allow unit to stand for 1 hour before switching on.)
• Place on a stable surface with sufficient air circulation.
When placing the unit on a heavily carpeted area, it may cause the unit to vibrate slightly.
• Avoid use in locations where grease or oily smoke is generated (such as in a kitchen, etc.).
The unit surface may crack or the sensor may malfunction as a result.
• Place the unit about 1-2 ft. (30 - 60cm) away from the wall in order to ensure proper airflow.
The wall directly behind the air outlet may become dirty over time. When using the unit for an
extended period of time in the same location, periodically clean the wall and protect the wall with a
vinyl sheet, etc. to prevent the wall from becoming dirty.

To maintain the quality of the HEPA filter, it is packed in plastic bag and placed in the
unit. Be sure to remove the HEPA filter from the plastic bag and replace the HEPA
filter in the unit before initial use.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
To maintain optimum performance of this air purifier, please clean the unit including the filter
periodically.
When cleaning the unit, be sure to first unplug the power cord, and never handle the plug with
wet hands. Electrical shock and/or bodily injury may occur as a result.

may become difficult to remove.

Do not use volatile fluids
Benzine, paint thinner, polishing powder, etc., may damage the surface.
Do not use detergents
Detergent ingredients may damage the unit.

Replacement timing
Filter life will vary depending on the room environment, usage, and location of the unit.
If dust persist, replace the filter.
Filter life can be greatly reduced depending on the room environment. Cigarette smoke, pet
dander, and other airborne particles can reduce filter life. Check filter regularly and replace as
necessary.

Before calling for service, please review the list below, since the problem may not be a unit malfunc-

Dust and smoke are not removed.
• Clicking or ticking sound may be audible when the unit

marque Sharp, expédié dans son emballage d'origine et vendu ou distribué au Canada par Sharp ou par un détaillant autorisé Sharp :
Sharp garantit que ce produit est exempt, sous conditions norm les d'utilisation et d'entretien, de tout défaut de matériau et de fabrication.
Si de tels défauts sont décelés dans ce produit pendant la période de garantie applicable, Sharp, à sa discrétion, réparera ou remplacera
le produit tel que précisé dans la présente.
Cette garantie ne s'applique pas à :
(a) Les défectuosités ou réparations requises à la suite de l'exploitation abusive, négligence, accident, une mauvaise installation

CONSIGNES IMPORTANTES DE SÉCURITÉ
En utilisant un appareil électrique, des précautions de base doivent être prises, y compris les
suivantes :
- Pour réduire le risque de choc électrique, d’incendie, ou de blessure :
AVERTISSEMENT
• Lire toutes les instructions avant d’utiliser l’appareil.
• Utiliser uniquement une prise de 120 volts.
• Le purificateur d’air est doté d’une fiche polarisée (une lame est plus large que l’autre).
Cette fiche s’adapte d’une seule façon dans une prise polarisée. Si la fiche ne s’adapte pas dans la
prise, inversez-la. Si la fiche ne s’adapte toujours pas, appelez un électricien ou un technicien qualifié.
Ne pas modifier la fiche en aucun cas.
• NE PAS utiliser l’appareil si le cordon d’alimentation ou la fiche est endommagé, ou si la
prise de courant murale est lâche.
• Enlever périodiquement la poussière de la fiche.
• NE PAS insérer les doigts ou des objets étrangers dans la prise ou la sortie d’air.
• Lorsque vous retirez le cordon électrique, tirez sur la partie insérée dans la prise électrique
et non sur le cordon.
Sinon, des chocs électriques et/ou des courts-circuits peuvent être produits.
• NE PAS retirer la fiche si vous avez les mains mouillées.
• NE PAS utiliser l’appareil près d’appareils d’utilisation du gaz ou des foyers.
• Retirez le cordon électrique de la prise électrique avant de nettoyer l’unité et lorsque que
l’unité n’est pas utilisée.
Des chocs électriques provenant d’une isolation défectueuse et/ou des feux provenant de court-
circuit peuvent être produits.
• Si le cordon d’alimentation est endommagé pour éviter tout risque de danger, il doit être
remplacé par le fabricant, son agent d’entretien, un Centre de service autorisé Sharp ou une
personne qualifiée.
• NE PAS faire fonctionner lors de l’utilisation d’insecticides en aérosol ou dans des pièces
contenant des résidus d’huile, de l’encens, des étincelles de cigarettes, de la fumée chimique dans
l’air, ou dans des endroits à haute humidité, comme dans une salle de bain.
•
Soyez prudent lors du nettoyage de l’unité. Les nettoyants corrosifs peuvent endommager l’extérieur.
• Seulement le Centre de Service Autorisé Sharp ne devrait réparer ce purificateur d’air. Contactez
le Centre de Service le plus près pour tous problèmes, ajustements ou réparations.
- interférence aux fréquences radio électriques ou perturbations en télévision
REMARQUE
Si ce purificateur d’air Plasmacluster provoque de l’interférence à la réception radio ou télévision,
essayez d’éliminer l’interférence d’une ou plusieurs des mesures suivantes :
• Réorientez ou relocalisez l’antenne de réception.
• Augmentez la distance entre l’unité et le récepteur radio/télé.
• Branchez l’équipement dans une prise sur un circuit différent de celui où le récepteur est branché.
• Consultez le revendeur ou un technicien en radio/télé pour assistance.
Ce produit répond aux exigences de la norme internationale CISPR 11.
Conformément à cette norme, ce produit est classé dans le groupe 1 de l’équipement de classe B.
Groupe 1 indique que l’équipement qui génère intentionnellement ou utilise de l’énergie RF
couplée qui est nécessaire au fonctionnement interne de l’équipement.
Le matériel de classe B signifie que le matériel approprié doit être utilisé dans les établissements
domestiques.

- Ventilation
REMARQUE
• Le purificateur d’air est conçu pour retirer la poussière présente dans l’air, mais non les gaz
dangereux (par exemple, le monoxyde de carbone présent dans la fumée de cigarette).
• Il est suggéré d’ouvrir une fenêtre lorsque vous fumez une cigarette pour améliorer la ventilation.
MISES EN GARDE RELATIVES AU FONCTIONNEMENT
• Ne pas bloquer l’admission ou la sortie d’air.
• Ne pas utiliser l’unité près d’objets chauds, comme les fours ou des éléments chauffants ou des
endroits où il peut entrer en contact avec la vapeur.
• Ne pas s’asseoir sur l’unité principale et ne pas s’y appuyer, car il peut en découler des blessures
ou un dysfonctionnement.
• Toujours tenir la poignée à l’arrière de l’appareil lors du transport.
Tenir le panneau arrière lors du transport peut le détacher et faire tomber l’appareil et causer des
blessures.
• Ne pas faire fonctionner l’appareil sans un filtre HEPA.
• Ne pas laver et réutiliser le filtre HEPA.
Ceci n’améliore pas la performance du filtre et peut causer des chocs électriques ou une défaillance.
• Nettoyer l’extérieur avec un chiffon doux.
Ne pas utiliser de liquides volatils et/ou de savon.
La surface de l’appareil peut être fendue ou endommagée.
• Toujours faire fonctionner l’unité principale en position verticale.
• Garder l’unité principale éloignée de l’eau.
GUIDE D’INSTALLATION
• Durant le fonctionnement de l’appareil, veuillez placer l’appareil à au moins 6’.5” (2m) de
tout appareil utilisant de l’électricité, tel que les téléviseurs, les radios ou horloges.
• Éviter les endroits où des rideaux, etc. peuvent toucher l’entrée ou la sortie de l’air.
Les rideaux, etc. peuvent être entachés ou causer une défaillance.
• Éviter les endroits où l’appareil est sujet à la condensation ou les changements de
températures rapides. (Utilisez sous conditions ambiantes de between 41 - 95 F̊ (5 - 35 ̊C).
(Si ces conditions ne peuvent être évitées, permettre à l’appareil d’acclimater pendant une heure
avant de l’activer.)
• Placer sur une surface ayant assez de circulation d’air.
L’appareil peut vibrer légèrement lorsqu’il est placé sur un tapis épais.
• Éviter les endroits produisant de la fumée de graisse ou d’huile (tel qu’une cuisine, etc.)
La surface ou le capteur de l’appareil peuvent mal fonctionner.
• Placer l’appareil à une distance de 1’-2’ (30 - 60 cm) du mur pour permettre une circulation
d’air optimale.
Le mur derrière la sortie d’air peut se salir au fil du temps. Lorsque vous utilisez l’appareil pendant
une longue période de temps au même endroit, nettoyez le mur régulièrement et protéger le mur
avec une feuille de vinyle, etc pour éviter que le mur devienne sale.

Cuando utilice electrodomésticos, se deben tomar medidas básicas de seguridad, incluidas

• Sólo un Centro de Servicio autorizado por Sharp debería realizar el mantenimiento de este

- Interferencia de TV o Radio
NOTA
Si este purificador de aire causase interferencias en la recepción de radio o televisión, trate de
corregir la interferencia mediante una o varias de las siguientes medidas:
• Reoriente o reubique la antena de recepción.
• Aumente la distancia entre la unidad y el receptor de radio/TV.

• El purificador de aire está diseñado para quitar polvo suspendido en el aire, pero no gases dañinos
(por ejemplo, monóxido de carbono presente en el humo de cigarrillos).
• Se sugiere abrir un poco la ventana cuando esté fumando, para facilitar la ventilación.
PRECAUCIONES DE OPERACIÓN
• NO bloquee la salida y/o toma de aire.
• NO use la unidad cerca o sobre objetos calientes, tales como cocinas o estufas, o donde pueda
entrar en el contacto con vapor.
•
No se siente en la unidad principal y no se incline sobre ella. Esto puede causar lesiones o funcionamiento
defectuoso.
• Cada vez que mueva la unidad sostenga la manija en la parte trasera de la misma.
Sujetar el panel trasero mientras se realiza el traslado puede hacer que se desprenda, dejando de
esta manera caer la unidad y causando lesiones corporales.
• No haga funcionar la unidad sin el filtro HEPA.
• No lave y reutilice el filtro HEPA.
No sólo no mejora el rendimiento del filtro, si no que además puede causar una descarga eléctrica
o mal funcionamiento.
• Limpie el exterior con un paño suave.
No utilice líquidos volátiles y/o detergentes.
La superficie de la unidad se puede dañar o rajar.
• Siempre haga funcionar la unidad principal en posición recta.
• Mantenga la unidad principal lejos del agua.
GUÍA DE INSTALACIÓN
•
Durante el funcionamiento del producto, coloque la unidad por lo menos a 2m de distancia de
los equipos que utilizan ondas eléctricas, tales como televisores, radios o relojes de onda.
• Evite los lugares donde las cortinas, etc., entren en contacto con la entrada o salida de aire.
Las cortinas, etc., se pueden ensuciar o puede ocurrir un mal funcionamiento.
• Evite su uso en lugares donde la unidad se exponga a condensación o a cambios rápidos
de temperatura. (Úselo en condiciones adecuadas entre 5 y 35ºC en la habitación).
(Si es inevitable, permita que la unidad esté en reposo durante una hora antes de encenderla).
• Colóquela sobre una superficie estable con circulación de aire suficiente.
Al colocar la unidad en una zona muy alfombrada, puede hacer que la unidad vibre ligeramente.

Evite su uso en lugares donde se genera humo de grasa o aceite (por ejemplo, en una cocina, etc.).
La superficie de la unidad se puede quebrar o el sensor puede funcionar de forma incorrecta.
Coloque la unidad entre 30 y 60 cm de distancia de la pared, con el fin de asegurar un adecuado
flujo de aire.
La pared directamente detrás de la salida de aire puede ensuciarse con el tiempo. Al utilizar la
unidad durante un largo período de tiempo en el mismo lugar, limpie periódicamente la pared y
protéjala con una lámina de vinilo, etc., para evitar que se ensucie.

la vida útil del filtro. Controle con regularidad el filtro y reemplácelo de ser necesario.
