• Arsenic and chromium from chemically-treated lumber.
Your risk from these exposures varies, depending on how often you do this type of work.
To reduce your exposure to these chemicals, work in a well ventilated area, and work
with approved safety equipment, such as those dust masks that are specially designed
to filter out microscopic particles IS BETTER
THAN NO SIGHT

GENERAL SAFETY RULES
WARNING! Read, understand and save all instructions. Failure to follow all
instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire or serious personal injury. The
warnings, cautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction manual cannot cover all
possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood by the operator

SAVE ALL INSTRUCTIONS!
WORK AREA
1. Keep your work area clean and well organized. Cluttered benches and dark areas
invite accidents.
2. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of
flammable liquids, gases, or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the
dust or fumes.
3. Keep bystanders, children and visitors away while operating a power tool.
Distractions can cause you to lose control.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
1. Double insulated tools are equipped with a polarized plug (one blade is wider than
the other.). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not
fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician to install a polarized outlet. Do not change the plug in any way. Double
insulation eliminates the need for the three wire grounded power cord and grounded
power supply system.
2. Avoid body contact with grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges and
refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is grounded.
3. Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord to carry the tool. Keep cord away from
heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Replace damaged cords immediately.
Damaged cords may create a risk of fire, or electric shock.
4. The use of any extension cord will cause some loss in the voltage. This will result in a
loss of power and overheating. To keep it at a minimum, and to prevent the motor
from burning out, avoid using an extension cord. If an extension cord must be used,
it must be no longer than 25 feet with a minimum wire size not less than 14 AWG.
5. When operating a power tool outside, use an outdoor extension cord marked ”W-A’
or “W”. These cords are rated for outdoor use and reduce the risk of electric shock.
PERSONAL SAFETY
1. Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a
power tool. Do not use tool while tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or
medication. A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in
serious personal injury.
2. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Contain long hair. Keep your
hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Wear protective goggles when
operating the machine. It is recommended to wear protective goggles, gloves, sturdy
non-slipping shoes and an apron.
3. Avoid accidental starting. Be sure trigger switch is not engaged before connecting to
a power outlet. Carrying tools with your finger on the trigger switch when the switch
is engaged invites accidents. Disconnect tool from power outlet before carrying out
any work on the machine.
4. Remove adjusting wrenches or Switches before turning the tool on. A wrench or key
that is left attached to a rotating part of the tool my result in personal injury.

shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection must be used for appropriate conditions.
LASER SAFETY
1. This tool emits laser radiation. Avoid direct eye exposure of any kind. Do not stare
directly at the laser beam, or project beam into eyes of others.
2. Laser is not to be used if tool is at eye level, or being operated on reflective
Surfaces. This causes the laser beam to be projected into your eyes or eyes of
bystanders.
TOOL USE AND CARE
1. Use clamps or other practical ways to secure and support the work piece to a stable
platform. Holding the work by hand or against your body is unstable and may lead to
loss of control.
2. Do not force tool. Use the correct tool for your application. The correct tool will do
the job better and safer at the rate for which it is designed.
3. Do not use tool if trigger switch does not turn ON or OFF. Any tool that cannot be
controlled with a trigger switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
4. Disconnect the plug form the power source before making any adjustments,
changing saw blades or storing the tool. Such preventive safety measures reduce the
risk of starting the tool accidentally.
5. Store idle tools out of reach of children and other untrained persons. Tools are
dangerous in the hands of untrained users. They should be kept away from work
area.
6. Maintain tools with care. Keep saw blades sharp and clean. Properly maintained
tools, with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
7. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other
condition that may affect the tools operation. If damaged, have the tool serviced
before using. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained tools.
8. Use only accessories that are recommended the manufacture for your model.
Accessories that may be suitable for one tool may become hazardous with used on
another tool

OPERATION
How to Start Jigsaw
1. Before you start make sure your saw blade and guard is secure.
2. Plug cord into power outlet.
3. Place saw near cutting surface. Make sure saw blade is down.
4. Position Speed Adjust Dial to desired stroke rate.

surface.
General Cutting
Hold your saw firmly in front and clearly away from you. Make sure saw blade is clear of
any foreign material and that power cord and extension cord are out of the blade path.
Be sure material to be cut is held firmly. Small work pieces should be securely clamped
in a vise or clamped to the work bench or table. Mark the line of cut clearly. Squeeze the
Trigger Switch to start the cutting action. Set the Guard on the work surface, then move
the saw blade into the work. DO NOT FORCE. Use only enough pressure to keep the saw
cutting. Allow the saw blade and saw to do the work.

Bevel Cutting
Warning: Before adjusting the cutting angles, be sure the saw is unplugged from the
power supply.
The base plate can be tilted to cut any angle between 0 and 45 degrees right and left.
Loosen the base plate adjustment screw and then rotate the base plate left or right to
the desired angle. Tighten the base plate adjustment screw to secure base plate.
Fig. 5
Note: The base plate has a scale for setting 0 to 45 degrees. Use a protractor to set
other angles.
Orbital Cutting
The cutting mode selector can be adjusted to select the
straight cutting mode or orbital cutting mode. This saw
has 4 position settings. The setting marked 0 is for
straight cutting and the settings marked I, II and III are
for orbital cutting.
Use of higher Orbit settings when performing intricate
scroll cuts may cause blade breakage. Use lower orbit
settings for scrolling. Orbit position “0” will produce the
most accurate cuts with less splintering and the longest
blade life.
