Faire un appel de détresse
Pour toute référence ultérieure, transcrivez ci-dessous le nom
et l’indicatif d’appel de votre bateau :
Parlez lentement – clairement – calmement.
1. Vérifiez si votre radio est en marche.
2. Appuyez sur la touche 16/9-Tri afin de commuter au canal
16 (156,800 MHz). (Si le canal 16 n’apparaît pas dans
le coin de l’affichage, appuyez de nouveau sur 16/9-Tri
jusqu’à ce qu’il soit affiché.)
3. Appuyez sur le bouton Push to talk et dites : “MAYDAY –
MAYDAY – MAYDAY”.

6. Donnez votre emplacement : (quels sont les points de
repère se trouvant près de vous ou lisez les coordonnées
de longitude et de latitude apparaissant sur votre dispositif
GPS).
7. Révélez la nature de votre détresse, par exemple, êtes-
vous en train de couler, est-ce une urgence médicale, y
a-t-il un homme à la mer, êtes-vous aux prises avec un
incendie, êtes-vous à la dérive, etc.?
8. Donnez le nombre de personnes à bord et les conditions
des blessés, s’il y en a.
9. Donnez la condition de navigabilité actuelle de votre
navire, quel est le degré de l’urgence par rapport à
l’inondation, à l’incendie ou à votre proximité de la côte?
10. Donnez une brève description de votre navire (métrage,
type, couleur, coque).
11. Dites : “JE VAIS ÉCOUTER SUR LE CANAL 16”.
12. Terminez le message en disant “ICI {nom ou indicatif
d’appel de votre bateau} À VOUS.”
13. Relâchez le bouton Push to talk et écoutez.
Si vous n’obtenez pas de réponse après 30 secondes,
répétez l’appel en commençant à l’étape 3 ci-dessus.

How It Works
The MHS75 radio has three main operation modes: normal
mode, scan mode, and weather mode.

In addition to the three operation modes, the MHS75
provides four different watch modes which you can activate
during any operation mode. In the watch modes, the radio
briefly checks for activity on a specific channel, then returns
to its previous operation.

Normal mode operation
• To transmit, remove the radio from the charger, then press
and hold the Push to Talk button. Release the button
when you are finished talking.
• For the best sound quality, hold the microphone about two
inches from your mouth while you’re talking.
• Press the Channel Up button to move up one channel at
a time. Press and hold the button to scroll quickly up the
channels.
• Press the Channel Down button to move down one
channel at a time. Press and hold the button to scroll
quickly down the channels.
• To change the transmit power, press the 1/5W-2.5W
button. The transmit power switches between 1 Watt and 5
Watts each time you press the 1/5W-2.5W button.
• To change the transmit power to 2.5 Watts, press and
hold the 1/5W-2.5W button for 2 seconds. Press and hold
the button again to change back to the previous transmit
power (either 1 Watt or 5 Watts).

If you activate Weather Alert Watch while operating in normal
mode, the radio

Normal mode with Triple Watch or Dual Watch
If you activate Triple Watch while operating in normal mode,
the radio checks channels 16 and 9 every two seconds; with
Dual Watch turned on, the radio only checks channel 16. The
radio will not check channels 16 or 9 while you are actively
transmitting; it waits until your transmission is finished and
then checks the channels.

Scan mode operation
You can save channels into memory and then use scan
mode to monitor those channels from lowest to highest. If the
radio detects a signal on a channel, it stays on that channel
as long as the signal is received; when the signal stops, the
radio continues scanning.
When it detects a signal, the radio stays
on the channel until you press the
Channel Up button or the signal stops.

Using the radio in scan mode
• To activate scan mode, press Scan-Dual.
• You must have at least two channels in memory to start a
scan.
• You cannot transmit while in scan mode.
• To save a channel into memory, select the channel, then
press the Mem button. The Mem icon shows on the display
whenever you tune to that channel.
• To remove a channel from memory, set the radio to that
channel, then press the Mem button. The Mem icon no
longer shows on the display.
• When the radio stays on a channel, press Channel Up to
leave that channel and resume scanning.
• To end the scan, press the Scan-Dual button again; the
radio remains on the last scanned channel.

Weather mode
The NOAA weather channels now cooperate with the FCC to
alert you of other hazards besides weather (child abduction
alerts, nuclear, biological, etc.). In weather mode, the radio
monitors one of the ten NOAA weather channels. If any type
of alert is received, the radio sounds an alert tone and the
display blinks.
Using the radio in weather mode
• You cannot transmit while in weather mode.
• To enter weather mode, press the WX-Alert button.
• To turn off the radio’s alert tone, press any button.
• To cancel weather mode and return to the previous marine
channel, press the WX-Alert button again.
Weather mode with Weather Alert Watch
Because weather mode already monitors the weather
channels, you don’t need Weather Alert Watch to check
the weather channel every seven seconds. If you activate
Weather Alert Watch while operating in weather mode,
it operates as a type of “sleep mode”: the radio stays on
the weather channel and mutes the speaker. If an alert
is detected, the radio sounds an alert tone and turns the
speaker back on. This mode is very useful when you are
anchoring for the night but want to keep informed of hazards.

Setting Up the Hardware
Attaching the antenna
The antenna detaches from the radio for easy
shipping or storage. To attach the antenna to
your radio, screw it tightly onto the anchor
post at the top of the radio.
Installing the battery
Your MHS75 comes with a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery;
for shipping safety, the battery is not installed at the factory.

battery compartment. Make sure the seal is seated in the
groove and there is no dirt or debris on it. If the seal
looks worn or damaged, contact customer service to

2. Lower the battery until it rests
flat in the compartment.
3. Bring the battery latch up and
snap it into place.
Charging the battery
Connecting the charger
Align the charger with the
battery (on the rear side
of the radio). Slide the
radio into the charger
until it clicks into place.
Connect the other end
of the charger to any standard 12 volt DC “cigarette lighter”
style outlet. The power LED on the top of the plug should
turn orange and remain lit.
CAUTION: If the LED blinks, immediately disconnect
the charger from the DC outlet. Reseat the radio in the
charger before reconnecting the charger to power.
CAUTION: Use only the battery and charger supplied
with this radio. Using a different charger or battery can
damage the radio and create a risk of fire or shock.
Important notes on charging the battery
• Charge the battery fully before using the radio.
• When the battery is completely charged, the power LED
turns green.
• Don’t use the charger when the ambient temperature is
below 0º C (32º F) or above 45º C (113º F).
• If the radio is powered down, the battery can charge in
about three and a half hours. (If the radio is powered on,
the battery takes longer to charge.)
• If the battery is empty, the radio can’t transmit, even if it’s
in the charger.

• Be careful moving the charger cord. If you have to move
the cord while the radio is charging, pick up the radio first
so you don’t drop it.
Disconnecting the charger
Squeeze in on the release tabs
at the base of the charger, and
slide the radio out.
Attaching the belt clip
To attach the belt clip:
1. Rotate the belt clip so that the
finger indentation is towards the
top of the radio.
2. Align the center of the clip with
the anchor post.
3. Place the clip on the post
and slide the clip upwards
until it clicks into place.
To remove the belt clip:
1. Rotate the clip so that
the finger indentation is
towards the bottom of the radio.
2. Slide the clip up until it comes free of the anchor post.

Using Your Radio
Changing the volume
To increase the speaker volume, turn the Volume-Power
knob clockwise; turn it counter-clockwise to decrease the
volume.

While listening to a channel, adjust the SQUELCH knob until
the noise is filtered and you can hear only the transmission.
If you switch to a channel with a lot of noise or a weak trans-
mission, you may need to readjust the squelch level again.
Note: Setting the squelch level too high may prevent
you from hearing weaker transmissions. If you are
having difficulty hearing a transmission, try setting the
squelch level lower.
Changing the channel
Press the Channel Up and Channel Down buttons briefly to
scroll through the channels one channel at a time. Press and
hold the Channel Up or Channel Down button to quickly
scroll through the channels.

Making a transmission
Select the channel you want to transmit on, then press and
hold the Push to Talk button. Release the Push to Talk
button when you’re finished talking to let the other party
respond.
• To prevent stuck microphone problems or situations where
the Push to Talk button is pushed accidentally, the radio
limits your talk time to 5 minutes in a single transmission.
• For the best sound quality, hold the microphone about two
inches away from your mouth.

Boosting the transmission power
In most situations, the 1 Watt transmission power is all you
need. If you find yourself far away from other stations and
have trouble getting a response, you may need to boost the
transmission power from 1 Watt to 2.5 Watts or 5 Watts:
• Press the 1/5W-2.5W button to switch from 1 Watt to 5
Watts. Press the button again to switch back to 1 Watt.
• To switch to 2.5 Watts, press and hold the 1/5W-2.5W
button for about two seconds. Press and hold the button
again to switch back to 1 Watt or 5 Watts (whichever you
were on when you switched to 2.5 Watts).
• The transmit power remains at the new setting until you
change it again. The transmit power icon always shows the
current transmission power.
Note: Don’t forget to change the transmission setting
back to 1 Watt when you move close to other stations.
• Some channels (for example, channels 13 and 67) limit
the transmission power to 1 Watt. When you tune to a
limited-power channel, the radio automatically switches to
of power-restricted channels.

Setting the UIC channel mode
The radio comes preset to use the channels assigned for
the US. If your current area uses Canadian or international
channel assignments, press the UIC-Lock key to rotate
through the US, Canadian, and international channels.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Due to its rugged design, the MHS75 requires very little
maintenance. However, it is a precision electronic instrument,
so you should follow a few precautions:
• If the antenna has been damaged, do not transmit except
in an emergency situation. Transmitting with a defective
antenna may cause further radio damage.
• You are responsible for continued FCC technical
compliance of your radio.
• You should arrange for periodic performance checks with
your Uniden dealer.

Regulations and Safety Warnings
WARNING! Read this information before using the radio.
Maritime radio services operation
Warning! This transmitter will operate on channels/
frequencies that have restricted use in the United States.
The channel assignments include frequencies assigned for
exclusive use of the U.S. Coast Guard, use in Canada, and
use in international waters. Operation on these frequencies
without proper authorization is strictly forbidden. See pages
19 through 25 for tables of the available channels and their
uses. If you are still not certain which channels to use, see
the FCC maritime radio page at the FCC website
Center at 1-888-CALL-FCC. For individuals requiring a
license, such as commercial users, you should obtain a
license application from your nearest FCC field office (for US
users) or Industry Canada (for Canadian users).
Basic radio guidelines
You should familiarize yourself with the rules on marine
radios and be aware of which rules apply to your boat.
Complete guidelines for all ship and marine radio types can
be found at the US Coast Guard website under the topic

Here are a few guidelines that affect nearly all boaters.
• If you have a VHF radio on your boat, you must maintain a
watch on channel 16 (156.800 MHz) whenever the radio is
not being used to communicate. Starting in 2004, if a radio
is carried, it must be on and set to channel 16 whenever
your boat is underway.
• If you hear a distress call, wait a few minutes to let a shore
station or Coast Guard vessel respond. If no other station
has responded after 5 minutes, you must respond to the
distress call.

• Do not make false mayday or distress calls as a prank or
to test your radio. (This is essentially like making a false 9-
1-1 call; you may be subject to fines.)

This device complies with Part 80 of the FCC Rules, as
well as Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject
to the condition that this device does not cause harmful

Unauthorized changes or modifications to this equipment
may void compliance with the FCC Rules. Any change
or modification must be approved in writing by Uniden.
Changes or modifications not approved by Uniden could void
the user’s authority to operate the equipment.

In August 1996 the Federal Communications Commission
(FCC) of the United States with its action in Report and
Order FCC 96-326 adopted an updated safety standard for
human exposure to radio frequency electromagnetic energy
emitted by FCC regulated transmitters. Those guidelines
are consistent with the safety standard previously set by
both U.S. and international standards bodies. The design
of the radio complies with the FCC guidelines and these
international standards.
Never allow children to operate the radio without adult
supervision and the knowledge of the following guidelines.

• Do not use the radio with a damaged antenna. If a
damaged antenna comes into contact with the skin, a
minor burn may result. Please contact your local dealer for
a replacement antenna.
Lithium ion battery warning
This equipment contains a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery.
The rechargeable Lithium Ion battery contained in this
equipment may explode if disposed of in a fire.
Do not short-circuit the battery.
Do not charge the rechargeable battery used in this equip-
ment in any charger other than the one specified in the
owner’s manual. Using another charger may damage the
battery or cause the battery to explode.
Li-Ion batteries must be recycled or disposed of properly.
Avoid exposing the battery (whether attached to the radio
or not) to direct sunlight, heated cars, or temperatures
below -4°F (-20°C) or above +140°F (+60°C). Exposing the
chemical contained within the battery pack to temperatures
above +140°F (+60°C) may cause the battery to rupture, fail,
or reduce performance.
In case of exposure to the cell contents, wash the affected
area thoroughly, and seek medical attention.

Three Year Limited Warranty Statement
WARRANTOR: UNIDEN AMERICA CORP. (“Uniden”)
ELEMENTS OF WARRANTY: Uniden warrants, for three
years, to the original retail owner, this Uniden Product to be
free from defects in materials and craftsmanship with only
the limitations or exclusions set out below.
WARRANTY DURATION: This warranty to the original user
shall terminate and be of no further effect 36 months after
the date of original retail sale. The warranty is invalid if the
Product is (A) damaged or not maintained as reasonable
or necessary, (B) modified, altered, or used as part of any
conversion kits, subassemblies, or any configurations not
sold by Uniden, (C) improperly installed, (D) serviced or
repaired by someone other than an authorized Uniden
service center for a defect or malfunction covered by this

Mode de balayage

Mode météorologique
Les canaux météorologiques de la NOAA coopèrent
maintenant avec la FCC pour vous alerter d’autres dangers
en plus des dangers météorologiques (les enlèvements
d’enfants, alertes nucléaires, menaces biologiques, etc.).
En mode météo, la radio surveille l’un des dix canaux
météorologiques de la NOAA. Si une alerte est reçue, la
radio émet une tonalité et affiche le type d’alerte.
Utiliser la radio en mode météorologique
• Vous ne pouvez pas transmettre lorsqu’en mode de
météo.
• Pour entrer en mode météo, appuyez sur la touche WX-
Alert.
• Pour mettre la tonalité d’alerte de la radio hors fonction,

Mode météorologique avec surveillance des alertes
météorologiques
Puisque le mode météo effectue déjà la surveillance des
canaux météorologiques, vous n’avez pas besoin de la
surveillance des alertes météorologiques pour surveiller le
canal météo à toutes les sept secondes. Si vous activez
la surveillance des alertes météorologiques pendant que
vous utilisez la radio en mode météo, celle-ci fonctionne
en ‘mode de veille’ : la radio demeure sur le canal météo et
coupe le son du haut-parleur. Si une alerte est détectée, la
radio sonne une tonalité d’alerte et remet le haut-parleur en
fonction. Ce mode est particulièrement utile lorsque vous
jetez l’ancre pour la nuit, mais voulez demeurer informé(e)
des dangers potentiels.

Installation du matériel
Fixer l’antenne
L’antenne se détache de la radio afin de
pouvoir la ranger ou l’expédier plus
facilement. Pour fixer l’antenne à votre
radio, vissez-la solidement dans son point
d’ancrage, au-dessus de la radio.
Installer la pile
Votre radio MHS75 possède une pile rechargeable au
lithium-ion. Pour des raisons de sécurité lors de l’expédition,
la pile n’est pas installée à l’usine.

Charger la pile
Raccord du chargeur
Alignez le chargeur avec la pile (à l’arrière de la radio).
Déposez la radio dans le chargeur jusqu’à ce qu’elle se
verrouille en place.
Branchez l’autre extrémité du chargeur dans une prise
de CC standard de 12 volts de type “allume-cigarette”. Le
voyant d’alimentation à DEL situé sur le dessus sera orange
et demeurer allumé.
MISE EN GARDE : Si le voyant à DEL clignote,
débranchez immédiatement le chargeur de la prise CC.
Replacez la radio dans le chargeur avant de rebrancher le
chargeur.
MISE EN GARDE : N’utilisez que la pile et le chargeur
inclus avec cette radio. L’utilisation d’un chargeur et d’une
pile différents peut endommager la radio et provoquer un
risque d’incendie ou d’électrocution.
Remarques importantes relatives à la charge de la pile
• Chargez le bloc-piles complètement avant l’utillisation.
• Lorsque la pile est pleinement chargée, le voyant à DEL
deviendra vert.
• N’utilisez pas le chargeur si la température ambiante est
sous 0º C (32º F) ou supérieur à 45º C (113º F).
• La radio se recharge en trois heures et demi lorsque la
radio est hors fonction. (Si en fonction, la recharge sera plus
longue.)
• Si la pile est épuisée,

Changer le canal
Appuyez brièvement sur les touches Channel Up et
Channel Down des canaux afin de défiler à travers les
canaux, un à la fois. Maintenez la touche Channel Up ou
Channel Down enfoncée afin de défiler rapidement à travers
les canaux.
Effectuer une transmission
Sélectionnez le canal sur lequel vous désirez transmettre,
puis tenez la touche Push To Talk enfoncée. Relâchez la
touche Push To Talk lorsque vous avez fini de parler afin de
laisser l’autre partie vous répondre.
• Pour éliminer les problèmes de microphone accroché ou
les situations où vous risquez d’appuyer accidentellement
sur la touche Push To Talk, la radio restreint votre
durée de conversation à 5 minutes au sein d’une même
transmission.
• Pour obtenir la meilleure qualité de son, tenez le
microphone à environ deux pouces de votre bouche.
• Voir la liste des canaux à la page 22 afin de connaître ceux
qui ne peuvent être utilisés que pour la réception.
Amplifier la puissance de transmission
Dans la plupart des situations, la puissance de transmission
de 1 watt est tout ce qu’il vous faut. Si vous êtes trop loin
des autres stations et éprouvez de la difficulté à obtenir une
réponse, vous devrez probablement amplifier la puissance
de transmission de 1 watt à 2,5 ou 5 watts :
• Appuyez sur la touche 1/5W-2.5W pour passer de la
transmission à 1 watt à 5 watts. Appuyez de nouveau pour
retourner à la transmission à 1 watt.
• Pour passer à la transmission à 2,5 watts, appuyez sur

Remarque : n’oubliez pas de remettre le réglage
de la transmission à 1 watt lorsque vous vous
rapprochez physiquement des autres stations.
• Certains canaux (par exemple, les canaux 13 et 67)
limitent la puissance de transmission à 1 watt afin de
réduire les interférences entre les plaisanciers qui tentent
d’utiliser le canal en même temps. Si vous commutez à
l’un de ces canaux, la radio revient automatiquement à
1 watt. Consultez les tableaux des canaux à capacité de
puissance restreinte débutant à la page 22.
Régler le mode des canaux UIC (US/CAN/INT)
La radio est préréglée pour utiliser les canaux assignés pour
les États-Unis. Si votre région utilise des canaux canadiens
ou internationaux, appuyez sir la touche UIC-Lock pour
défiler à travers les canaux américains, canadiens et
internationaux.
Entretien et dépannage
Grâce à sa conception robuste, la radio MHS75 nécessite
un minimum d’entretien. Toutefois, il s’agit d’un instrument
électronique de haute précision, alors vous devriez quand
même suivre les quelques précautions ci-dessous :
• Si l’antenne a été endommagée, vous ne devez pas
transmettre, sauf en cas d’urgence. Transmettre avec une
antenne défectueuse peut endommager votre radio.
• La responsabilité de garder votre radio conforme aux
normes techniques de la FCC vous revient entièrement.

Fonctionnement des services de la radio maritime
Avertissement! Ce transmetteur fonctionne sur des
canaux/fréquences à usage restreint aux États-Unis. Les
assignations de canaux comprennent des fréquences
attribuées à l’usage exclusif de la garde côtière des
États-Unis, au Canada et dans les eaux internationales.
L’utilisation de la radio sur ces fréquences, sans l’autorisation
adéquate, est strictement interdite.
Pour connaître la liste des fréquences/canaux disponibles,
veuillez consulter les tableaux des pages 22 à 28. Si vous
êtes toujours incertain(e) des canaux que vous pouvez
utiliser, consultez la page se rapportant à la radio maritime
ou communiquez avec le centre d’appel de la FCC, au
1-888-call-fcc. Les individus nécessitant une licence, tels
que les utilisateurs commerciaux, doivent se procurer un
formulaire de demande de licence au bureau de la FCC le
plus près de chez eux (pour les usagers aux États-Unis) ou
d’Industrie Canada (pour les usagers canadiens).
Directives de base de la radio
Vous devriez vous familiariser avec les règlements des
radios maritimes afin de connaître ceux qui s’appliquent à
votre embarcation. Vous trouverez les directives pour tous
les types de bateaux et de radios maritimes sur le site Web
de la garde côtière des États-Unis, sous la rubrique “radio
info for boaters” (renseignements sur les radios pour les
plaisanciers) (le lien direct est : http://www.Navcen.Uscg.

• Si vous avez une radio VHF dans votre bateau, vous
devez garder une surveillance du canal 16 (156,800 MHz)
dès que vous n’utilisez plus la radio pour communiquer.
À compter de 2004, si une radio est installée dans votre
bateau, vous devez la mettre en marche et la syntoniser
au canal 16 dès que l’embarcation fait route.
• Si vous entendez un appel de détresse, attendez quelques
minutes afin de permettre à une station littorale ou un
bateau de la garde côtière d’y répondre. Si, après cinq
minutes, aucune autre station n’a répondu, vous devez
répondre à l’appel de détresse.
• Ne faites pas de faux appels de détresse (‘mayday’) pour
blaguer ou tester votre radio. (Essentiellement, ceci
équivaut à faire un faux appel 9-1-1; vous pouvez faire
face à de sérieuses amendes.)

Cet appareil est conforme à l’article 80 des règlements de la

fonctionnement est assujetti à la condition que cet appareil
ne cause pas d’interférences nuisibles.

approuvés par Uniden. Les changements apportés à cet

Renseignements de la FCC sur l’exposition aux
fréquences radio
Au mois d’août 1996, la Commission fédérale des
communications (FCC) des États-Unis, par le biais de son
intervention dans le rapport et l’ordonnance 96-326 ‘report
and order FCC 96-326’, a mis à jour les normes relatives
à l’exposition humaine à l’énergie électromagnétique des
fréquences radio émises par les transmetteurs autorisés par
la FCC. Ces directives répondent aux normes de sécurité
établies précédemment par les organismes américains et
internationaux responsables de la conformité à ces normes.
Le design et la fabrication de cette radio sont conformes aux
directives de la fcc et à ces normes internationales.
Ne laissez jamais un enfant utiliser un appareil radio doté
d’un transmetteur sans supervision adéquate.
Avertissement! Il n’en tient qu’à l’utilisateur de faire
fonctionner la radio dotée d’un transmetteur de manière
sécuritaire. Veuillez vous assurer de respecter les consignes
ci-dessous :
N’utilisez que l’antenne incluse ou une antenne certifiée.
Les antennes et accessoires non autorisés ou modifiés
risquent de réduire la qualité des appels, d’endommager la
radio ou d’enfreindre les règlements de la FCC.
N’utilisez pas la radio si l’antenne est endommagée. Si une
antenne endommagée entre en contact avec la peau, une
brûlure légère peut se produire. Veuillez communiquer avec
votre marchand qui vous vendra une antenne de rechange.
Avertissement relatif à la pile au lithium-ion
Cet appareil est doté d’une pile rechargeable au lithium-
ion. Cette pile au lithium-ion inclus avec cet appareil risque
d’exploser si elle est jeté au feu. Ne jamais court-circuiter la
pile.

Ne rechargez pas la pile rechargeable utilisée avec cet
appareil dans un chargeur autre que celui conçu pour celui-
ci et spécifié dans ce guide d’utilisation. L’utilisation d’un
autre chargeur risquerait d’endommager la pile ou de la faire
exploser.
Les piles au lithium-ion doivent être recyclées ou jetées de
manière adéquate.
Évitez d’exposer la pile au lithium-ion, fixée ou non à la
radio, à la lumière directe du soleil et ne le laissez pas
dans les automobiles chauffées ni dans les endroits où la
température descend sous -4˚F (–20˚C) ou monte au-dessus
de +140˚F (+60˚C). Toute exposition des produits chimiques
que contient la pile aux températures dépassant les +140˚F
(+60˚C) peut faire en sorte que la pile se fissure, qu’elle
cesse de fonctionner ou que sa performance soit réduite
considérablement.
Si, par accident, vous vous exposez au contenu de la pile,
nettoyez complètement la région affectée et consultez un
médecin.
Garantie limitée de trois ans
Le répondant de la garantie : UNIDEN AMERICA CORP. (ci-
après “UNIDEN”).
Éléments de la garantie : pendant une période de trois
(3) années, Uniden garantit à l’acheteur original que cet
appareil Uniden sera libre de tout défaut de pièces et de
main-d'oeuvre, selon les restrictions et exclusions décrites ci-
dessous.
La durée de la garantie : cette garantie, qui ne s’applique
qu’à l’acheteur original, se terminera et ne sera donc plus
en effet 36 mois après la date de l’achat original dans un

est (a) endommagé ou n’a pas été maintenu en bon état
suite à un entretien raisonnable ou nécessaire, (b) modifié,
altéré ou utilisé en tant que composante d’un ensemble

problème ou défaillance couvert par cette garantie, (e) utilisé
conjointement avec des équipements, pièces ou en tant
que composante d’un système qui ne soit pas fabriqué par
Uniden, ou (f) installé ou programmé par d'autres personnes

à l’appareil et remplace et exclut toute autre garantie de
quelque nature que ce soit, qu’elle soit formelle, tacite ou
survenant suite à l’implantation d’une loi, incluant, mais
sans s’y limiter, toutes les garanties tacites en qualité loyale
et marchande ou les aptitudes à un but particulier. Cette
garantie ne couvre pas ni ne prévoit pas de provisions
pour le remboursement ni le paiement des dommages-
intérêts directs ou indirects. Certaines provinces ou états
