MPEG4 AND JPEG FILE PLAYBACK
MPEG4 is theaudio standard publishedby MPEG(Moving PicturesExperts Group) in
November,1998. As the discrepantparts between framesof picture areonly processed and
the same partsare deleted, thedata number aregreatly decreased. The most distinct
feature of MPEG4is the highcompression and clearimaging. Furthermore, MPEG4provides
elastic specifications toadjust the streamaccording to theused requirements. The larger
stream can beused when collectingprivate films; andthe small streamcan be usedin
network transferring, whichmake MPEG4 usewidely.
JPEG(Joint Photographic ExpertsGroup) is themost widely usedpicture compression and
storage format today. Utilizing highefficiency compression algorithm, JPEG compresses
the original picture15 to 20times with excellentpicture quality. JPEG isfeaturing small
size data, convenientapplication and supportedby most pictureprocessing software, so
it is veryfit to storephotos.
The strong decodingcapability of thisunit can decodeand play thefiles with theabove
formats. In thecourse of playing, an operation menuwill appear andits construction is
