Transmitter Installation:
The battery holder has the two button cell 1.5V (#393) batteries already
installed inside. (See Figure 1) Install the battery holder into the AAA
transmitter module making sure that the positive (+) side of the holder
aligns with the positive (+) end of the AAA transmitter module. Open the
battery compartment of your remote control and replace one of the AAA
batteries in your remote control with the AAA transmitter module. If your
remote control uses AA batteries install the AAA transmitter module into
the AA battery sleeve and replace one of the existing AA batteries with the
AA sleeve with transmitter module installed inside. It is recommended
that whenever you install this device in your AAA or AA battery remote
control you check and/or replace the other AAA or AA battery with a new AAA
or AA heavy-duty alkaline or lithium battery to ensure the strongest signals
and optimal performance of both your remote and this transmitter device.
Replace the battery cover on your remote control. Your remote control is
now ready for RF transmitting.
WARNING: This battery transmitter cannot be used with any device other than an infrared
remote control. DO NOT put the AAA transmitter module and button batteries in any type of
battery charger as it will permanently damage the unit and void the limited warranty.
Replacing Batteries:
Always replace with two (2) new #393 or equivalent silver oxide button
batteries only. Replacing just one button battery and not both may not
allow the transmitter sufficient fresh power to function properly.
Remove the battery holder from the AAA transmitter module. Next,
carefully use a pointed object such as a paper clip end to gently push the
button batteries out through the holes on the outside of the battery holder
and replace with two (2) new #393 button batteries. Make sure the button
batteries are installed with the positive (+) ends facing as shown in Figure
1. Install battery holder back into the transmitter module as described
above. Some equivalent battery numbers for the 393 are SR754W, SR48,
SR754, SB-B3, F, V393, D393, 255, 309, S754E, GP393, and AG5.
