14. To avoid fire or shock hazard, plug the unit directly into a 120 V AC electrical outlet.  
15. To disconnect heater, turn controls to OFF, then remove plug from outlet. Pull firmly on the plug, DO NOT unplug by  
pulling on the cord.  
16. Always unplug the unit before moving or cleaning, or whenever the heater is not in use.  
17. Use only for intended household use as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer  
may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by unauthorized  
dealers may cause hazards.  
18. Always use on a dry, level surface. Use on floor only.  
19. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, DO NOT use this unit with any solid-state speed control  
device.  
20. DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this unit. Doing so will void your  
warranty. The inside of the unit contains no user serviceable parts. Qualified personnel should perform all servicing  
only.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS  
Place the heater on a firm, level surface and plug into a grounded 120V 60Hz power outlet.  
Only operate the heater when it is in the upright position.  
Use the instructions below to operate the heater using the control panel or the included remote  
control.  
1. Open the control panel cover to view the control dials.  
2. The control dial on the left (when facing the front of the heater) is the heat setting dial.  
When the dial is set to “0” the heater is in the off position.  
3. To turn the heat on fan mode, turn the heat setting dial to the five bladed fan icon. This will  
turn on the fan and circulate cool air. When in fan mode, turn the thermostat dial (on the  
right when facing the front of the heater) to max to circulate air.  
4. Turn the heater dial to the “ ~ “ position to heat in low mode. To regulate the room  
temperature, turn the thermostat dial to the right until the heater turns on. This thermostat  
setting will be slightly above room temperature. The heater will shut off when the room  
reaches the set temperature on the thermostat. Once the room temperature drops below the  
thermostat temperature, the heater will automatically turn itself on. The heater will continue  
to turn on and off to regulate the room temperature. Increase the thermostat dial until you  
reach the desired comfort setting.  
5. Turn the heater dial to the “ “ position to heat in high mode. To regulate the room  
temperature, turn the thermostat dial to the right until the heater turns on. This thermostat  
setting will be slightly above room temperature. The heater will shut off when the room  
reaches the set temperature on the thermostat. Once the room temperature drops below the  
thermostat temperature, the heater will automatically turn itself on. The heater will continue  
to turn on and off to regulate the room temperature. Increase the thermostat dial until you  
reach the desired comfort setting.  
6. For maximum heating power, turn the heater dial to high mode “ “ , and turn the  
thermostat dial to max.

MAINTENANCE  
WARNING: ALWAYS UNPLUG THE CORD BEFORE MOVING OR SERVICING.  
CLEANING: IMPORTANT! DO NOT IMMERSE HEATER IN WATER! Clean the heater grills using the  
vacuum brush attachment on your vacuum cleaner. This will remove lint and dirt from the inside of the heater.  
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TAKE HEATER APART. Clean the body of heater with a soft cloth.  
CAUTION: Do not use gasoline, benzine, thinner, harsh cleaners, etc. as they will damage the heater.  
NEVER USE ALCOHOL OR SOLVENTS.  
SAFETY FEATURES  
1. A thermal overload protector is built in to prevent overheating.  
2. When an overheat temperature is reached, the heater will be automatically shut off. It can only resume  
operation when the user resets the unit. (See RESET INSTRUCTION below)  
RESET INSTRUCTION  
Unplug the heater and wait 10 minutes for the unit to cool down.  
After the 10 minutes, plug the unit in again and operate normally.  
STORAGE  
If the heater will not be used for a long period of time, store it in a cool, dry location when not in use. To  
prevent dust and dirt build-up, use the original packaging to repack the unit.  
TROUBLESHOOTING  
If your heater shuts off unexpectedly or fails to operate, one of the above-mentioned safety features may have  
activated to prevent overheating.  
1. Be sure the power cord is plugged into a working electrical outlet.  
2. Check your thermostat setting. The heater may be off because it has reached the desired temperature  
setting.

WARRANTY  
One Year Limited Warranty  
Soleus International Inc. warrants the accompanying Soleus Air HC4-15-32 Ceramic Heater to be free of defects in  
material and workmanship for the applications specified in its operation instruction for a period of ONE (1) year from  
the date of original retail purchase in the United States.  
If the unit exhibits a defect in normal use, Soleus International Inc. will, at its option, either repair or replace it, free of  
charge within a reasonable time after the unit is returned during the warranty period.  
As a condition to any warranty service obligation, the consumer must present this Warranty Certificate along with a  
copy of the original purchase invoice.  
THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:  
Damage, accidental or otherwise, to the unit while in the possession of a consumer not caused by a defect in  
material or workmanship.  
Damage caused by consumer misuse, tampering, or failure to follow the care and special handling provisions  
in the instructions. This includes dents, accidental or otherwise, to the base and head of the unit.  
Damage to the finish of the case, or other appearance parts caused by wear.  
Damage caused by repairs or alterations of the unit by anyone other than those authorized by Soleus  
International Inc.  
Freight and Insurance cost for the warranty service.  
ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANT ABILITY ARE LIMITED TO  
ONE-YEAR DURATION OF THIS EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY. SOLEUS INTERNATIONAL INC.  
DISCLAIMS ANY LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES AND IN NO EVENT  
SHALL SOLEUS INTERNATIONAL INC’S LIABILITY EXCEED THE RETAIL VALUE OF THE UNIT FOR  
BREACH OF ANY WRITTEN OR IMPLIED WARRANTY WITH RESPECT TO THIS UNIT.  
This warranty covers only new products purchased from our authorized dealers or retailers. It does not cover used,  
salvaged, or refurbished products.  
As some states do not allow the limitation or exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, or do not allow  
limitation on implied warranties, the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you  
specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
