Ventilation — Slots and openings in the cabinet provide ventilation, ensure
reliable operation, and protect from overheating. Do not block or cover these
openings, and do not place the appliance on a bed, sofa, rug, or other similar
surface. Do not place the appliance in a built-in installation such as a bookcase
or rack unless it provides proper ventilation as specified by the manufacturer.

Grounding or Polarization — This appliance is equipped with a three-wire

insert the plug into the outlet, contact your electrician to replace your obsolete

4. Insert the device’s positive wire (usually red)
into the red binding post’s wire hole. Tighten the
binding post to secure the wire in place.

Power-Cord Protection — Route power-supply cords so they are not likely to
be walked on or pinched by items placed on or against them, paying particular
attention to cords at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they
exit from the appliance.
5. Insert the device’s negative wire (usually black)
into the black binding post’s wire hole. Tighten the
binding post to secure the wire in place.
Cleaning — The appliance should be cleaned only as recommended by the
manufacturer. Clean by wiping with a cloth slightly dampened with water. Avoid
getting water inside the appliance.

6. Connect the power supply’s AC cord to a standard
120V AC outlet.
Nonuse Periods — The appliance’s power cord should be unplugged from the
outlet when it is to be left unused for a long period of time.

Overloading — Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords, or integral
convenience receptacles. This can result in fire or electric shock.
• Make sure your connections match the correct polarity
