Do not let water hotter than 50°C run through the water
purifier, this may cause damage.
Do not let the water purifier freeze.
Before daily use

To prevent quick clogging of the filter cartridge, let the water run at
the unfiltered setting for around 5 seconds before every use.
If the water is highly coloured or turbid due to work on your water
network, do not let the water run at the filtered setting until the
water is clear.

Cautions:
Let the water run at the filtered setting for 10 seconds before use
each day.

Let the water run at the filtered setting for 60 seconds before use if
you have not used the water purifier for more than two days.
If you have not used the water purifier for more than two weeks, let
the water run at the filtered setting for 2-3 minutes before use. If the
filter cartridge emits an unpleasant smell, replace it with a new one.

Do not store purified water to avoid contamination.Air contact
contaminates purified water quickly. If you want to store purified
water, use a clean container and keep it in the refrigerator. Do not
keep it in the refrigerator longer than 1 day to avoid contamination.
Features

Philips’ multi-filtration system consists of a primary filter, a secondary
filter, a high-tech hollow-fibre membrane filter and a granular
activated carbon filter.
The hollow fibre membrane contains 520 billion micropores
(WP3811) or 400 billion micropores (WP3810) that are small
enough to remove particles down to 0.1µm. It eliminates 99.99%* of
bacteria, rust and other particles larger than the micropore size
from your tap water without removing calcium, magnesium and other
minerals that are vital to your body. (* tested according to Japanese
Water Purifier Association (JWPA) standard).

The granular activated carbon removes the unpleasant chlorine smell
and taste from your tap water.
Apart from the recommended cartridge lifetime, Philips’ unique
cartridge replacement indicator helps you determine when to replace
the filter cartridge.
Preparing for use
Before installation
-
Before you install the water purifier, make sure all tap-mounting
adapters you require are present.
-
-
The tap must have a diameter of 13mm-25mm.
Determine what type of tap you have and select the appropriate
adapter.
-
The adapters supplied make the water purifier suitable for almost
any kitchen tap. However, the water purifier may not fit some
uncommon types of taps.
-
The tap water pressure has to be between 0.7kgf/cm² (7 metres of
water column) and 3.5kgf/cm² (35 metres of water column). If you
use the water purifier at a water pressure outside this range, either

the filtered water flow will be extremely low or the water purifier
will get damaged.
installation a-type adapter
For taps with a round spout with a diameter of 16mm, 17.5mm or
19mm (Fig. 2).

1 Remove the attachment nut and the adapter from the water
purifier housing (Fig. 3).
ꢀ Pass the attachment nut over the tap spout (Fig. 4).
ꢁ Place the matching adapter (A-type) over the tip of the spout.The
16mm adapter is packed with the water purifier. Replace it with
the 17.5mm adapter or 19mm adapter to fit the diameter of your
tap (Fig. 5).
ꢂ Screw the attachment nut firmly onto the water purifier
housing (Fig. 6).

For taps with an aerator (threaded on the outside) (Fig. 7).

1 Remove the attachment nut and the adapter from the water
purifier (Fig. 8).
ꢀ Remove the aerator cap from the tap and pass the attachment nut
over the spout.Take out the original adapter and screw the
matching adapter (B-type) onto the tap (Fig. 9).
ꢁ Tighten the adapter further with a coin (Fig. 10).
ꢂ Firmly screw the attachment nut onto the water purifier
housing (Fig. 11).
installation C-type adapter
For taps with an aerator (threaded on the inside) (Fig. 12).

1 Remove the attachment nut and the adapter from the water
purifier housing (Fig. 13).

ꢀ Remove the aerator cap from the tap.Take out the original adapter
and screw the matching adapter (C-type) onto the tap through the
attachment nut. (Fig. 14)
ꢁ Tighten the adapter further with a coin (Fig. 15).
ꢂ Firmly screw the attachment nut onto the water purifier
housing (Fig. 16).
installation d-type adapter
For taps other than A, B or C. (Fig. 17)

1 Remove the attachment nut and the adapter from the water
purifier housing (Fig. 18).
ꢀ Take out the original adapter and screw the D-type adapter onto
the water purifier housing. (Fig. 19)
ꢁ Push the water purifier housing onto the tap from below and
tighten the 4 screws evenly (Fig. 20).
ꢂ Screw the attachment nut firmly onto the water purifier
housing (Fig. 21).
Make sure the rubber washer is firmly pushed against the tap to prevent
water leakage.
Installing the filter cartridge
1 Make sure the tap is closed.
ꢀ Set the water selection lever to the unfiltered stream
position (Fig. 22).
ꢁ Tilt the filter cartridge 90° backwards and insert it into the water
purifier housing. (Fig. 23)
ꢂ Pull the cartridge upwards until it is in upright position. (Fig. 24)
5 Air trapped inside the filter cartridge affects the flow rate of the
filtered water.To avoid this, slightly open the tap and let water run
through the filter cartridge for 30 seconds.The slow water flow
forces out any air that is trapped inside the filter.

Using the water purifier
1 Turn the water selection lever to the desired setting (‘click’).
The water selection lever has 3 settings: filtered spray, unfiltered spray
and unfiltered stream. See the sections below.
Do not let water hotter than 50°C run through the water purifier, as
this may damage the water purifier.
ꢀ Open the tap.
Filtered spray
Select this setting for drinking, washing vegetables or fruits and
for cooking.
1 Turn the water selection lever until the filtered spray symbol is
aligned with the indicator (Fig. 25).
If you filter water between 35°C and 50°C, the water may have an
unpleasant smell.The filter cartridge has absorbed this smell during
filtering, but releases it again if you filter water hotter than 35°C.
Unfiltered spray
Select this setting for washing dishes and other jobs that require a gentle
water flow.
1 Turn the water selection lever until the unfiltered spray symbol is
aligned with the indicator (Fig. 26).
Unfiltered stream
Select this setting for a strong water flow.
1 Turn the water selection lever until the unfiltered stream symbol is
aligned with the indicator (Fig. 22).
Cleaning
Never use scouring pads, abrasive cleaning agents or aggressive liquids
such as petrol or acetone to clean the water purifier.These substances
may cause cracking, discolouration or distortion.

1 Clean the filtered water outlet with a clean toothbrush and wipe
off any contamination with a clean cloth.
Note: Do not use a used toothbrush, as it may transfer bacteria to the water
outlet.

New filter cartridges are available under the following type numbers:
WP3911 for water purifier WP3811.
WP3910 for water purifier WP3810.
However, the housing of both water purifiers is suitable for both types of
filter cartridges.
Replace the filter cartridge if it is clogged to prevent damage to the
water purifier.
No part of the cartridge can be reused. Discard the used cartridge and
replace it with a new one.
When to replace the filter cartridge
The actual lifetime of the filter cartridge depends on the quality of the
local water and the water pressure.
For optimal performance of the water purifier, replace the filter cartridge
if one of the following situations occurs:
a You have used the filter cartridge for six months.
B The hollow fibre of the filter cartridge (visible through the cartridge
window) has turned rust brown or dark grey (see section ‘Cartridge
replacement indicator’).
C The volume of purified water decreases substantially.
d The filtered water still has an unpleasant smell or is still turbid
after purification.
Reduced filter cartridge life
The filter cartridge has a shorter life and should be replaced more
frequently in the following situations:

The water pressure is very low.
The pipes and water tank are worn.

The tap water is contaminated due to plumbing activities or cleaning
of the water tank.
When you use cloudy water immediately after heavy rain.
Cartridge replacement indicator
Tip: Remove the cover of the filter cartridge and stick the cartridge
replacement indicator to the inside of the cover. Check the colour of the
hollow fibre of the filter cartridge through the cartridge window from time to
time. If the colour of the filter matches the rust brown or dark grey shown on
the cartridge replacement indicator, replace the filter cartridge (Fig. 27).
To help you determine when to replace the filter cartridge, the water
purifier and each replacement filter cartridge comes with a self-adhesive
colour-coded cartridge replacement indicator. Place this replacement
indicator in a convenient place for future reference.
How to replace the filter cartridge
1 Close the tap and set the water selection lever to the unfiltered
stream position. (Fig. 22)
ꢀ Tilt the used filter cartridge 90° backwards and pull it off the water
purifier housing (Fig. 23).
ꢁ Write down the replacement date on the information label of the
new cartridge.
ꢂ Tilt the new filter cartridge 90° backwards and insert it into the
water purifier housing.
5 Pull the cartridge upwards until it is in upright position. (Fig. 24)
Environment
-
Do not throw away the water purifier with the normal household
waste at the end of its life, but hand it in at an official collection point
for recycling. By doing this, you help to preserve the
environment (Fig. 28).

para quase todos os tipos de torneira de cozinha. No entanto, talvez
não se encaixe em certos tipos de torneiras não convencionais.
A pressão da água da torneira deve ser entre 0,7 kgf/cm² (7 metros
de coluna de água) e 3,5 kgf/cm² (35 metros de coluna de água). Se
você usar o purificador de água com uma pressão fora dessa faixa, o
fluxo de água filtrada ficará extremamente fraco ou o purificador

ꢀ Remova o arejador da torneira e introduza o anel cromado de
fixação na torneira. Retire o adaptador original e enrosque o
adaptador correspondente (tipo B) na torneira (fig. 9).
ꢁ Aperte mais o adaptador usando uma moeda (fig. 10).
ꢂ Enrosque o anel cromado de fixação firmemente no suporte do
purificador de água (fig. 11).

1 Remova o anel cromado de fixação e o adaptador do suporte do
purificador de água (fig. 13).
ꢀ Remova o arejador da torneira. Retire o adaptador original e
enrosque o adaptador correspondente (tipo C) na torneira com o
anel cromado de fixação. (fig. 14)
ꢁ Aperte mais o adaptador com uma moeda (fig. 15).
ꢂ Enrosque o anel cromado de fixação firmemente no suporte do
purificador de água (fig. 16).

Para torneiras que não sejam A, B ou C. (fig. 17)

1 Remova o anel cromado de fixação e o adaptador do suporte do
purificador de água (fig. 18).
ꢀ Retire o adaptador original (branco e cromado) e enrosque o
adaptador do tipo D no suporte do purificador de água. (fig. 19)
ꢁ Pressione o suporte do purificador contra a torneira (de baixo
para cima) e aperte os quatro parafusos igualmente para que o
filtro não fique torto (fig. 20).
ꢂ Aperte o anel cromado de fixação firmemente no suporte do
purificador de água (fig. 21).
Verifique se o anel de borracha está pressionado com firmeza contra a
torneira para prevenir vazamentos.
Instalação do refil do filtro
1 Verifique se a torneira está fechada.
ꢀ Coloque a chave seletora de água na posição “Água com Fluxo Não
Filtrado” (fig. 22).
ꢁ Incline o refil 90° para trás e insira-o no suporte do purificador de
água. (fig. 23)

ꢂ Puxe o refil para cima até deixá-lo na posição vertical. (fig. 24)
5 O ar preso no refil do filtro afeta o fluxo da água filtrada. Para
evitar que isso aconteça, abra ligeiramente a torneira e deixe que a
água flua pelo refil do filtro por 30 segundos. O fluxo fraco da água
força a saída de ar preso no interior no filtro.
Usando o purificador de água
1 Coloque a chave seletora de água no ajuste desejado (você ouvirá
um “clique”).
A alavanca seletora de água apresenta três ajustes:“Água Filtrada em
Spray”,“Água Não Filtrada em Spray” e “Água Não Filtrada em Fluxo”.
Consulte as seções abaixo.
Não deixe a água passar pelo purificador a uma temperatura superior a
50°C. Isso pode danificar o aparelho.

Água Filtrada em spray
Selecione este ajuste para beber água, lavar frutas e legumes e cozinhar.
1 Gire a chave seletora de água até o símbolo “Água Filtrada em

Se a água for filtrada entre 35°C e 50°C, ela pode adquirir um cheiro
desagradável. O refil do filtro absorveu esse cheiro durante a filtragem,
mas o liberará novamente se você filtrar a água a uma temperatura
superior a 35°C.
Água não Filtrada em spray
Selecione este ajuste para lavar louças e fazer outras tarefas que exijam
um fluxo de água suave.
1 Gire a chave seletora de água até o símbolo “Água Não Filtrada em
Spray” ficar alinhado com o indicador (fig. 26).

Selecione este ajuste para um fluxo de água mais forte.
1 Gire a chave seletora de água até o símbolo “Água Não Filtrada em
Fluxo” ficar alinhado com o indicador (fig. 22).

Nunca use palhas de aço, agentes de limpeza abrasivos ou líquidos
agressivos como gasolina ou acetona para limpar o purificador. Essas
substâncias podem causar rachaduras, descoloração ou deformações.
1 Limpe a saída de água filtrada com uma escova de dentes nova e
remova qualquer contaminação com um pano limpo.
Nota: Não limpe com uma escova usada, pois ela poderá transferir bactérias
para a saída de água.

Novos refis para filtro estão disponíveis de acordo com os seguintes
códigos:

WP3910 para o purificador de água WP3810.
No entanto, o compartimento de ambos os purificadores de água é
compatível para os dois tipos de refis para filtro.

substitua-o inteiramente por um novo.
Quando devo substituir o refil do filtro?
A real vida útil do refil do filtro depende da qualidade da água local e da
pressão da água.
Para obter o melhor desempenho do purificador de água, substitua o refil
do filtro se uma das seguintes situações ocorrer:
a Você usou o refil do filtro por seis meses.

B A membrana microporosa do refil do filtro (visível pelo visor do refil)
ficar com uma coloração marrom-enferrujada ou cinza-escura
(consulte a seção ‘Adesivo Indicador de Substituição do Refil’).
C O volume de água filtrada diminuir substancialmente.
d A água filtrada ainda apresentar um odor desagradável ou ficar turva
depois da filtragem.
Vida útil reduzida do refil do filtro
O refil do filtro terá uma vida útil menor e será substituído com mais
freqüência em uma das seguintes situações:

A pressão da água é muito baixa.
Os canos e/ou a caixa d’água são antigos.
A água da torneira está contaminada devido à sujeira no
encanamento ou à limpeza da caixa d’água.
Quando a água da torneira está contaminada devido à contaminação
da caixa d´água sem tampa, por uma chuva forte que trouxe
impurezas

Adesivo Indicador de Substituição de Refil
Dica: Remova a tampa do refil do filtro e cole o Adesivo Indicador de
Substituição de Refil na parte interna da tampa.Verifique regularmente a cor
da membrana microporosa do refil do filtro pelo visor do refil. Se a cor do
filtro ficar com a coloração marrom-enferrujado ou cinza-escura, mostradas
no Adesivo Indicador de Substituição de Refil, substitua-o (fig. 27).
Para ajudá-lo a determinar quando você deve substituir o refil do filtro,
tanto o purificador de água como cada refil de filtro sobressalente são
fornecidos com um Adesivo Indicador de Substituição de Refil codificado
por cores. Coloque o Adesivo Indicador de Substituição em um local
conveniente para consultas futuras.
Como substituir o refil do filtro
1 Feche a torneira e coloque o seletor de água na posição “Água Não
Filtrada em Fluxo”. (fig. 22)
ꢀ Incline o refil do filtro usado a 90° para trás e retire-o do suporte
do purificador de água (fig. 23).

Não descarte o purificador de água com o lixo doméstico no final de
sua vida útil. Leve-o a um posto de coleta oficial para que possa ser
reciclado. Com esse ato, você ajuda a preservar o meio
ambiente (fig. 28).
