No t e : Connections 5 and 6 are com m on
Two M5 threaded holes in the base of the sensor provide m ounting points.
No t e : The screws m ust not enter the holes m ore than 0.4" into the sensor body.
The installed position of the sensor should be away from sudden tem perature
variations, shocks and vibrations and should not be close to strong electrom agnetic
fields (transform ers, m otors etc.). The sensor can be m ounted in any position, but
m ounting at an angle m ay require zero adjustm ent. For very low pressure sensors
(less than 2.0 inH2O) the recom m ended m ounting is horizontal.
If the output cable passes through an area of electrical disturbance, use a
recom m ended load im pedance of between 2 kW and 10 kW . Connect the load
resistance between the wires corresponding to signal and - term inal at a point
furthest from the sensor.

Purging or de-gasing the sensor
Two 5 m m hexagonal socket bleed screws are located on the outer casing and can be
loosened to bleed the two pressure connectors. Make sure that these screws are
tightened after this operation.
No t e : It is possible to changeover the bleed screws and pressure connectors
enabling easier access or perm itting installation in a difficult position.

To avoid electrical interference, use shielded cable with the shield connected to the
earth ground at both ends. The ground of the sensor can be the casing or the ground
term inal screw.
This option only applies to the LPX 5000 sensor with 4 to 20 m A two wire connection
and the square root electronics assem bly fitted. A switch next to the term inal block
selects the output m ode.

The filter response tim e of the sensor, additional to the built-in response tim e of 10

term inal connector. Using com binations of the switches can set different tim es.
