Disconnect the negative battery
terminal to prevent an accidental
short circuit.

Insert the long ends of the 86-9001
into the slots on the factory radio and
pull out to remove. Note: Flat edge
of key should point outward.

For single DIN radios with the pocket,
remove the radio and pocket, then
pull out on the plastic tray separating
the dash cavity. (Figure B)

Continue to kit assembly.
Note: This installation kit is an extremely tight fit and requires force to be
“snapped” into the dash opening. Removal of aftermarket radio is even
more difficult than installation, so please be sure to fully test the after-
market radio prior to completing the kit’s installation.

Slide the DDIN radio unit into the
DDIN bracket/radio housing assembly
and secure the unit to the kit using
the (8) Phillips screws supplied with
the kit. (Figure A)
Locate the factory wiring harness in
the dash. Metra recommends using
the proper mating adapter from Metra
or AXXESS. Re-connect the negative
battery terminal and test the unit for
proper operation.

Snap kit/ radio assembly into the
dash opening.
Note: This installation kit is an extremely tight fit and requires force to be
“snapped” into the dash opening. Removal of aftermarket radio is even
more difficult than installation, so please be sure to fully test the after-
market radio prior to completing the kit’s installation.
