headphones.
BATTERY INSTALLATION
Slide the BATTERY DOOR in the direction shown by
the arrow to open the door and insert 2 “AA” batteries,
taking care not to reverse the positive and negative
polarities.
Alkaline batteries are recommended
and will normally provide more playing
time.
Do not mix old and new
batteries.
Do not mix alkaline, standard
(Carbon-Zinc) or rechargeable
(Nickel-Cadmium) batteries.
NOTE:
Remove the batteries during long periods (about
30 days or more) of non-use, possible battery
leakage and corrosion can damage the set.
If the sound becomes weak and unclear, the
batteries may be weak. Replace both batteries at
once.
LISTENING TO THE RADIO
You may listen to the radio through the stereo headphones.
1. Insert the headphone plug into the HEADPHONE
jack.
2. Set the FUNCTION switch to AM or FM position.

(Adjust for clearest sound).
4. Adjust the VOLUME control for the most pleasing
sound.

switch to TAPE (RADIO OFF ) position.
As the headphone cord functions as the FM antenna, do
not bunch it up. Unwind and extend the cord as much as
