• After use, always remove the power  
plug from the wall socket. This pre-  
vents the unintentional switching on  
of the appliance.  
Intended use  
This appliance is intended for:  
• Toasting slices of bread, rolls and  
waffles.  
• Use exclusively in domestic environ-  
ments.  
• Ensure that the power cable never be-  
comes wet or moist when the appliance  
is in use. Place the power cable such  
that it cannot become jammed or  
otherwise damaged in any way.  
Should the power plug and/or cable  
become damaged, arrange for it/them  
to be replaced by our Customer Service  
Department before re-using the app-  
liance.  
It is not intended for:  
• Use with other foods or other materials.  
• Use in commercial or industrial en-  
vironments.  
To avoid fire and injury risks:

• The appliance can become hot when  
it is in use. Therefore, only touch the  
operating elements.

• Bakery products can burn!  
Thus, DO NOT place the appliance

curtains and drapes.

• NEVER cover the toaster when it is in

by persons (including children) with  
reduced physical, sensory or mental  
capabilities, or lack of experience and  
knowledge, unless they have been gi-  
ven supervision or instruction concer-  
ning use of the appliance by a person  
responsible for their safety.  
• Children should be supervised to en-  
sure that they do not play with the  
appliance.  
• Operate the appliance only on a stable,  
non-slippery and level surface.  
• The appliance is not intended to be  
operated by means of an external ti-  
mer or separate remote-control system.  
To avoid potentially fatal risks through  
electric shock:  
• The mains voltage at the mains socket  
must match that shown on the rating  
plate on the device.  
• Never insert cutlery or other metallic  
objects into the toaster slots.  
• Ensure that the toaster does not come  
into contact with water when the  
power plug is in the socket. This applies  
especially if you use it in the kitchen  
and close to the sink.  
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must  
be replaced by the manufacturer or its  
service agent or a similarly qualified  
person in order to avoid a hazard.

• Always completely unwrap the power  
cable from the retainer at the base of  
the toaster when using the appliance.  
Press the bread carriage down until  
it engages. The light glows.  
The appliance then heats itself to its  
maximum temperature. As soon as the  
maximum temperature is reached, the  
bread carriage returns to the top  
automatically. The light extinguishes  
and the appliance switches itself off.

Press the STOP button to interrupt  
the heating process. The bread carriage  
then returns to its upper position,  
the light extinguishes and the ap-  
pliance switches itself off.  
Taking into use  
Caution: Do not lift the bread carriage  
by hand during the toasting process.  
This may damage the mechanism.  
Before taking the appliance into use  
ensure that ...

the appliance itself, the power cable  
and the plug are in a serviceable  
condition, and ...  
Remove the power plug from the  
power socket and allow the appliance  
to cool down.

all packaging materials have been  
removed from the appliance.  
Clean the appliance as described in  
the chapter “Cleaning and Care”.  
First of all, clean the appliance as de-  
scribed in the chapter “Cleaning and  
Care”.  
Toasting  
Completely unwrap the power cable  
from the retainer at the base of the  
toaster and lead it through one of the  
cable clasps on the side of the appliance.  
Place the slices of bread into the bread  
carriage.  
Turn the toasting dial to the de-  
sired setting and ...  
press the bread carriage down  
until it engages. The light glows.  
Then heat the appliance up a couple  
of times to remove production residues  
from the heating coils. It is to be consi-  
dered as normal should a slight odour  
be created by this:  
To do this, insert the plug into the  
wall socket and set the toasting dial  
to “7”.  
As soon as the bread is toasted the bread  
carriage returns to its upper position  
automatically. The light extinguishes  
and the appliance switches itself off.

Press the STOP button to interrupt  
the toasting process. The bread carriage  
then returns to its upper position,  
the light extinguishes and the ap-  
pliance switches itself off.  
ƽCaution: Bakery products can burn!  
Clean the toaster after every usage  
to prevent flammable crumbs from  
accumulating.  
Clean all outer surfaces and the power  
cable with a lightly moistened  
cloth. Dry the appliance well before  
re-using it.  
Warming bread rolls  
Press the bread roll holder button ᕧ  
downwards. The bread roll holder ᕡ  
folds itself out.  
Place the bread rolls on it and start  
the toasting process as described in  
the chapter “Toasting”. Thereby, ad-  
just the toasting dial to a maximum  
level of 7.  
Do not use detergents or solvents.  
These could damage the appliance  
and leave residues on the next bakery  
products to be toasted.  
In the case of stubborn soiling:  
Under no circumstances should you  
use hard abrasive objects.  
When the toasting process is finished  
and you no longer require the bread  
roll holder , press the bread roll holder  
button upwards. The bread roll  
holder folds itself in.  
NEVER insert miscellaneous solid  
objects into the bread carriage slots!  
These could damage the appliance.  
Instead, place a damp piece of cloth  
onto the stubborn soiling in order to  
soften it.  
Cleaning and Care  
Storage  
ƽRisk of lethal electric shock:  
• Never open the housing of the app-  
liance. There are no user-serviceable  
elements inside.  
First allow the appliance to cool down  
completely before placing it in storage.  
Wind the power cable around the  
holder under the bottom of the  
toaster.  
NEVER submerge the appliance or  
its components in water or other  
fluids!  
Store the appliance in a dry location.  
Before cleaning the appliance:  
First, remove the power plug from  
the wall socket.  
Allow the appliance to cool down.  
Draw the crumb tray out to the  
left. Remove all residual crumbs.

Disposal  
Under no circumstances may the  
appliance be disposed of with  
normal household waste.  
Dispose of the appliance through an  
approved disposal centre or at your  
local waste facility.  
Observe the currently applicable regula-  
tions. In case of doubt, please contact  
your local waste disposal centre.  
Dispose of packaging materials in  
an environmentally responsible  
manner.
